Jovana looked around. The church appeared to be at the center of a large park surrounded by woods, and she looked back at Caspian, wondering if she ever really knew him at all.
Caspian studied her face, and it felt like his deep eyes were fathoming the abyss of her soul. "Something on your mind?" he asked.
"Caspian, didn't we say no more secrets?"
"Right. I should set a good example, shouldn't I?" he said, and Jovana shrugged her arms.
"I'd just like to know my fiancé better, that's all."
Caspian nodded and moved closer, taking her hands. "The story of this place is very dear to me, so thank you for asking," he took a deep breath and then continued, "My grandfather had a quarrel with the High Priestess of the temple."
"A quarrel about what?" Jovana asked, her curiosity piqued.
