In a Certain Castle – somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld
"This is fine, right, Zest?" Seir asked for confirmation.
The tanned-skinned maid nodded. "Yes, Lord Seirios… there's nothing unusual. You are perfectly clean after the bath. I've taken care of the odor in your room as well, and I'll personally clean your clothes to ensure discretion," she assured him. "Rest easy."
"Hmm… alright," Seir nodded as he walked through the castle's corridors, with Zest silently leading the way.
The two quickly arrived at the dining hall, where several maids stood in neat rows on either side of the long table.
Seir's gaze landed on Lucia, who stood attentively behind the seat reserved for the head of the house. Naturally, Roygun occupied that seat, her fingers interlocked as she waited. As Seir entered the dining hall, she lifted her head and gave him a questioning look.
"What took you so long?" she asked, her tone carrying a hint of annoyance. "We've been waiting for quite a while, you know."
The moment he heard Roygun's voice and met her gaze, vivid scenes from his wet dream resurfaced in his mind. He was instantly reminded of the way she had been reduced to a moaning mess in his dream, causing an involuntary heat to rise to his face as his thoughts became distracted.
"Yes~♡ Ahh… Yes~❤️ That's it… oh, Hnng~ Haa~ Haa!~"
"It's going so deep… ah, yes, fuck yes❤️!"
"Did I… haah~ wake you up, little brother?"
"Haa~ Little brother… I love it so much… Haah~"
"Little brother~❤️!"
"Little brother!"
Seir stood there, momentarily lost in thought, until Roygun's sharp call finally pulled him back to reality. "Seir… are you listening?"
"Huh?" He blinked, snapping out of his daze, and noticed Roygun watching him with concern.
Roygun furrowed her brows. "Why are you so late?"
Averting his gaze, Seir quickly replied, "I was taking a bath, so I lost track of time and ended up running late." Lowering his head slightly, he added, "I'm sorry, sister."
Roygun narrowed her eyes. Something felt off. He had never avoided her gaze like this before. Growing suspicious, she pressed further. "Did something happen? Are you feeling unwell?"
She gently cupped his cheek and pressed her forehead against his, checking his temperature for any signs of fever.
With Roygun's face so close, Seir's cheeks turned red as certain scenes began resurfacing in his mind. He forced himself to stay composed. 'Don't think about that. Don't think about that…'
Unaware of his inner turmoil, Roygun, finding his temperature perfectly normal, murmured, "Your body temperature seems fine…" She pulled back slightly and studied his face before asking doubtfully, "Then why are you so red?"
"It's nothing," Seir said, shaking his head.
Roygun frowned in concern. "Did you not sleep well? Or is something else bothering you?"
Seir shook his head again. "It's nothing serious," he assured her before hurriedly coming up with an excuse. "It's just… this is my first time spending the night in this castle, and with Father and Mother not here… well, you know…"
"Ah… I see…" Roygun murmured in realization before offering a small apology. "I'm sorry."
After all, Seir had lived in their parents' castle since birth and had rarely, if ever, spent a night away from them. It wasn't strange that their absence might affect him, even if just a little.
"It's alright," Seir replied, shaking his head. But internally, he thought, 'I'm sorry for lying to you…' Although being away from them did trouble him a little, the real reason he avoided her gaze was something else entirely.
Roygun offered, "If you're uncomfortable, we can arrange for your lessons to continue at Father's castle instead."
Seir immediately shook his head. "There's no need for that."
"Are you sure?" Roygun asked, searching his face for any hesitation.
Seir nodded firmly. "I can always talk to them over a communication magic circle, and if needed, I can return for a visit using a teleportation circle. There's really no need for concern."
"If you've made up your mind, then I won't say anything more," Roygun said with a nod. She then gestured to the seat beside her. "Now, come sit by my side. Let's start breakfast."
Once Seir was seated, Lucia clapped her hands, signaling the maids to serve breakfast.
As expected, Zest was the one serving Seir, but this made him wonder, 'Where is Kuisha? I don't see her around…' He had expected her to be here, yet she was nowhere in sight.
'I suppose I'll ask Lucia about her later,' he thought to himself.
As the maids moved about, setting the dishes on the table, Seir glanced around at the other faces present at the dining table. Contrary to his expectations, not all of Roygun's peerage members were here for the breakfast.
Aside from Roygun, only two other girls were present.
Naturally, Seir recognized both of them. One of them was, of course, Maria.
Unlike earlier that morning when she had visited his room in far more revealing attire, she was now properly dressed. She wore a black Gothic dress adorned with white frills, a matching black shawl fastened at the collar with a functional keyhole design, and black leggings.
Looking at her now—so composed and refined—no one would ever guess that she was the same girl responsible for his… eventful morning.
'Such are the ways of a young Succubus…' Seir mused as his gaze lingered on the Legal Loli.
Maria noticed his glance and responded with a gentle smile and a polite nod. "How have you been, Lord Seirios?" she greeted smoothly. "It's been quite a while since we last met, hasn't it?"
"Indeed, it has been some time," Seir replied with a smile of his own before adding, "Unfortunately, you don't visit me at Father's castle very often."
Maria sighed lightly, a hint of feigned disappointment in her voice. "Oh, I would love to… but, sadly, I'm not allowed there." The way she said the last part carried a teasing undertone as if directed at someone in particular.
"For good reason," Roygun muttered before stating firmly, "Need I remind you what you did to all the maids there the last time you went there?"
At that, Maria simply fell silent, offering nothing more than a small smile. Though on the inside, she was quite proud of herself. 'Hmph! That potion was revolutionary, and now, thanks to my creation, so many new kinks have emerged. Belphegors and Naamahs households are also making a fortune from it, yet I still got banned from going to Lord Malakarion's castle. I didn't deserve that.'
Noticing Maria's discomfort, Seir felt satisfied, though he was also curious about why she had been banned from visiting his parents' castle. This was the first time he was hearing of it. 'I suppose I'll ask her about that later.'
With this thought, he turned to Nonaka Yuki, who was sitting beside Maria.
Nonaka Yuki is a beautiful young woman with a slender yet curvaceous figure, shoulder-length light blue hair, a longer section braided on the left side of her face, a single long strand framing her features, and striking yellow eyes. Unlike Maria, who wears a dress, Yuki is dressed in a navy blue leotard with a black collar, a white skirt, and a matching navy blue cape.
Rumor has it that she possesses an exceptionally well-shaped, thicc butt.
'Though I don't know about it since I haven't seen it myself because her skirt covers it quite well.'
And yes, she was yet another [Pawn] in Roygun's peerage.
Given her name—Nonaka Yuki—it is fairly obvious that she hailed from the Land of the Rising Sun.
Noticing Seir looking at her, Yuki gave a polite bow with a stoic expression.
'Well, she's not one for many words,' Seir thought as he gave a nod of acknowledgment to Roygun Roygun's [Pawn] with a smile.
'If Lucia and Zest were counted along with Maria and Yuki, that made only four of Roygun's peerage members present. The remaining six were missing.'
Noticing the absence of the others, Seir turned to Roygun and asked, "Sister, where are the rest of your peerage members? Won't they be joining us for breakfast?"
"Hm?" Roygun looked up at him upon hearing his question, then shook her head. "No, they're not in the castle at the moment," she replied, before adding, "They have their own responsibilities and are spread across the entire domain."
"I see…" Seir murmured, nodding to himself. 'That makes sense…'
After all, this is the peerage of the Head of the Belphegor Household. The Belphegor Domain is vast, and there are a lot of responsibilities on the head of the Household pertaining to economics, agriculture, technology, managing the vassals, and so on and so forth. It's quite obvious that Roygun alone cannot oversee everything by herself. So, her peerage members play a role in assisting her, sharing the burden of governance, and overseeing the domain.
So, it is only logical that they can't always be in the castle.
Once the maids finished serving the dishes, Seir tucked the napkin around his neck and began eating, as did the others.
Partway through breakfast, Roygun glanced at him and asked, "Do you have any plans for today?"
Seir shook his head. "Nothing in particular…" Then, looking at her curiously, he asked, "Why do you ask, Sister?"
Roygun explained, "If there's something you'd like to do, I can make the necessary arrangements before I leave." After a brief pause, she added, "After all, I won't be back until the evening."
"Oh…" Seir muttered before shaking his head again. "Well, I don't really have anything specific in mind." He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Honestly, I was hoping to start learning how to use [Crack] already, but since you're busy, that can't be helped."
"I'm really sorry about that," Roygun apologized.
"No worries, Sister," Seir said with a reassuring smile. "In your absence, I suppose I'll do some reading… maybe explore the castle a bit." He paused, then added thoughtfully, "Oh, and I guess I should also test out Chastiefol since I haven't done that yet."
"If you're interested in reading, you should check out the library of this castle," Roygun suggested. "There are thousands of books there that I bet you haven't read yet and might find interesting."
"Alright, then I shall visit the library," Seir nodded, looking forward to it.
Roygun then added, "If you need anything, you can ask Lucia or Zest." She turned to the two members of her peerage, who nodded in acknowledgment before she continued, "They will assist you with whatever you require."
"I understand," Seir replied, nodding to Lucia and Zest in acknowledgment. "I will be in your care, then…"
Both Lucia and Zest bowed lightly in acknowledgment.
Roygun then shifted her gaze to Maria, her expression sharp as she issued a warning. "And Maria… please don't try any of your antics on Seir. Do you understand?"
'Too late for that already, Sister…' Seir thought to himself with a sigh.
Maria, putting on a confused and innocent expression, tilted her head. "What do you mean, Mistress? What antics are you talking about?"
Roygun's eyes narrowed. "You know exactly what I mean, Maria."
Faced with her mistress's sharp gaze, Maria let out a nervous chuckle and nodded evasively. "I… I understand, my Mistress… I promise I won't do anything to Lord Seirios."
Roygun nodded. "Good."
With that, breakfast continued until everyone was satisfied.
As the maids began clearing the dining table, Roygun noted that it was almost time for her to leave. Rising from her seat, she turned to Seir. "Well then, I'll see you in the evening." Leaning down, she pressed a light kiss to his forehead and added with a teasing smile, "Be a good child and don't cause any trouble, okay?"
"I won't," Seir replied with a shrug. Since when had he ever been the one causing trouble, anyway?
Roygun, amused by his reaction, smiled and turned to leave. "Come, Yuki, let's go."
"Hai, Aruji-sama," Nonaka Yuki responded and began to walk out of the dining hall.
As Yuki passed by Seir, she paused to bow politely before following Roygun out of the dining hall.
Moments after Roygun and Yuki left, Maria said to Lucia, "Since I need to work on my Magic Tool, I'll be heading to my workshop. Thank you for the breakfast." Before anyone could respond, she vanished without a trace.
Unsurprisingly, Maria's sudden disappearance didn't faze anyone in the dining hall.
However, her words did raise a few eyebrows. Lucia narrowed her eyes. 'Is she working on another one of those…?'
Zest and a few other maids sighed, 'She never stops making them, does she…?'
Meanwhile, Seir found himself growing more curious. 'Magic Tool? Does Maria create Magic Tools?' he wondered. He couldn't deny that his curiosity was piqued, but now wasn't the time to dwell on it—he had a more pressing question that needed an answer.
Turning to the Head Maid of the Belphegor Household, Seir asked, "Lucia, where is Kuisha?" He had expected her to be present at breakfast, although not at the dining table, among the maids serving, but since she was absent, he decided to inquire.
"I've assigned the child some cleaning tasks," Lucia replied.
"Cleaning tasks?" Seir murmured.
Lucia explained, "She needs to be properly educated in every aspect of service to become a proper maid. Naturally, cleaning comes first on the list."
In Lucia's opinion, Kuisha Abaddon is set to become Seir's personal maid, which also means that once he assumes the role of Head of the Household, she will take on the position of Head Maid of the Belphegor Household. As such, Kuisha needed to master every aspect of being a proper head maid—from cleaning to territory management—to fulfill her duties and help out Seir.
"Hmm… I see," Seir nodded in understanding. After a brief pause, he added, "I won't interfere with her training, as I trust in your abilities."
"I thank you for your trust," Lucia said with a bow.
Seir continued. "But please ensure that her combat training is also prioritized. Since, I intend to have her in my peerage."
"That goes without saying, my Lord," Lucia replied with a nod.
"Well, since that's settled, I suppose there's nothing more for me to say," Seir remarked as he rose from the dining table.
Zest immediately stepped forward. "Lord Seirios, would you like a tour of the castle, or shall I take you to the library? Or perhaps you wish to test your spear? If so, I can guide you to an open field."
"To the library, please," Seir replied.
"As you wish. This way, please," Zest said, leading him forward.
"Very well." Seir nodded and followed after her. As he left the dining hall, the other maids bowed respectfully before beginning to clean up.
After guiding Seir through several passageways, Zest stopped in front of a large set of doors. Stretching out her hand toward them, she said, "Here is the castle's library."
Since the doors were opened, even from the entrance, Seir could see countless shelves neatly arranged, each filled with an overwhelming number of books. As they stepped inside, the sight became even more breathtaking. Taking it all in, he couldn't help but think to himself, 'I'm probably going to have the time of my life here… The library seems a heaven for a book lover.'
While he was admiring the vast collection, a timid voice suddenly called out, "W-welcome to Belphegor Castle's Library…"
Seir glanced around but saw no one. Frowning, he scanned the hall until he spotted a glimpse of green hair peeking out from behind a bookshelf, accompanied by a pair of thick spiral glasses nervously watching them from behind the cover.
"Um?" Seir murmured, intrigued.
Zest introduced the source of the voice, "Her name is Thea, and she is the librarian here…" before turning to Thea and informing her, "Thea, this is Lord Seirios Belphegor…"
"Ah… I… I see. Hello, Lord Seirios, I am the librarian, Thea," the owner of the pair of thick spiral glasses introduced herself.
"Why is she hiding behind a bookshelf?" asked Seir doubtfully.
"She's a timid child… please don't mind her," Zest whispered softly in explanation.
"I see. Well… in any case, I'll be staying here for quite a while, and I'm sure you have plenty of things to do as well, so I won't keep you. I should be fine on my own," Seir said, dismissing Zest.
Zest nodded. "I understand, Lord Seirios." After a brief pause, she added, "If you need anything, please seek out Thea. Even though she's timid, she knows every book in this library. Just give her an order, and she'll fetch the book you're looking for."
"Is that so?" Seir murmured, glancing in surprise at the owner of the thick spiral glasses.
"Yes, that's the case," Zest confirmed with a nod.
"I understand, then," Seir replied. "Thank you for guiding me here."
"It was my duty," she said with a smile before adding, "If you need anything aside from books, just send me a message through the communication magic circle, and I will arrive immediately."
"Got it," Seir nodded.
With a slight bow, she continued, "If there's nothing else, I shall take my leave, Lord Seirios. I wish you a pleasant reading experience."
With that, she turned and exited the library, leaving Seir behind as he made his way toward one of the bookshelves.
"Hmm… which one should I read first?" Seir murmured in confusion as he wandered through the aisles, hoping something would catch his eye. However, with so many books to choose from, he found himself unsure of where to start.
After a moment of contemplation, he still couldn't decide—especially with a pair of thick spiral glasses constantly peeking at him from a distance, curiously watching while their owner hid behind bookshelves.
Not to mention, the moment Seir glanced in her direction, Thea let out a startled cry, "Eeep!" and immediately ducked out of sight, completely hiding herself.
Seir blinked in annoyance. 'What is she so afraid of? It's not like I'm going to eat her or something…'
Letting out a sigh, he finally spoke to the meek librarian. "Thea…"
"Ye-yes, my Lord?" Thea hurriedly responded, though she remained hidden behind one of the bookshelves and only poked out her head slightly.
"Recommend me a book," he instructed, not looking at her.
"What topic would you like to read about?" she asked hesitantly.
"Anything from this aisle that you think would be a good read for a first-time visitor—something compelling enough to make me want to return to the library," Seir replied.
Hearing his request, Thea began murmuring to herself like an overenthusiastic scholar, her words sounding like gibberish to Seir. He simply waited patiently, tapping his foot against the carpet until he heard a sharp snap of fingers. Moments later, a book slid out from the shelf and floated down toward him.
"This might be a good read," Thea said as the book hovered in front of him.
"Is that so?" Seir murmured, glancing at the title. The Tales of Undeads?
'Not exactly the kind of book you'd expect to recommend to a child… Weird taste… but oh well, let's give it a try.' With this thought, he took the book, made his way to the seating area, and began reading.
.
.
Sometime later
"I was under the impression that the undead are created using Necromancy, but it turns out that some can manifest even without it, huh?" Seir murmured thoughtfully.
"That's right… Lingering emotions at the time of death can sometimes lead to the formation of the undead. Though the type of undead that emerges depends on the circumstances," a voice suddenly chimed in as someone appeared beside him.
Without looking away from the book, Seir sighed. "What do you want now, Maria?"
Indeed, the person who had appeared out of nowhere was none other than Maria, dressed in her Gothic Loli guise.
"You hurt my feelings, you know…" Maria said, twirling a strand of her hair. She added with a playful pout, "I was expecting you to come find me, Lord Seirios… but instead, you chose to spend your time with books and a timid librarian rather than visiting me."
"Well, unlike a certain someone, books don't magically appear in my bed without permission and make me see strange dreams," Seir shot back, taunting her.
"Ugh…" Maria was momentarily speechless before pouting. "Are you still upset over that?"
"It's a matter of dignity," Seir replied flatly. "I was embarrassed in front of Zest… all thanks to you."
"But didn't you like the dream?" Maria teased with a knowing grin. She was well aware that he had enjoyed it—his reaction had made that obvious.
"Whether I liked it or not is an entirely different matter," Seir sighed. "If I had asked you to show me something like that, I would have appreciated it and maybe even thanked you. But I didn't ask for it, and you went ahead and did it anyway. That's not something I can just let slide." He paused before adding, "You should just be grateful I didn't tell Roygun. If I had… well, you can imagine how furious she would have been and how that would have turned out for you."
Maria finally sighed, realizing that Seir was genuinely upset. "I really did something uncalled for, didn't I?"
"Damn right," Seir nodded firmly.
"I'm sorry, Lord Seirios…" Maria apologized, her expression genuinely saddened. She then explained, "I never get to see you, and I'm also forbidden from entering Lord Malakarion's castle… Among the entire peerage, I'm the only one who doesn't have many opportunities to be close to you or show my care for you. That's why… when I found out you were here, I wanted to do something for you." She sighed again before lowering her head. "I truly am sorry… I promise I won't do anything like that again—not without your permission."
Seeing her like that, Seir sighed and relented. "Alright, fine… now stop crying."
Immediately, Maria's face lit up with a bright smile, and she happily wrapped her arms around him. "Ah, I knew you'd forgive me!"
Seir blinked as she clung to him, happily flailing her legs in excitement. Seeing her like that, a thought crossed his mind, 'Did I forgive her too easily?' But he quickly dismissed it. 'Oh well, it doesn't matter…'
Curious about another matter, he asked, "By the way… what exactly did you do to get yourself banned from Father's castle?"
"Oh, that… well…" Maria grinned mischievously before revealing, "I just mixed a special Succubus potion I created into the maids' food… which made all of them start lactating."
"Huh? Maria, you did what?!" Seir exclaimed, completely taken aback.

A/N:
Yeah, as you may have noticed, I'm introducing characters from Shinmai here. That said, I won't be strictly following its canon or expanding on its storyline. However, I will be using some of its enemies later in the story.
As for Maria's actions so far… I believe they're well within her character.
Now, about the next few chapters—they'll be focused on sex. Yes, you read that correctly.
I know the MC might seem too young (at least physically), but as I mentioned in the synopsis, 'shota elements' so, there's that. Also, he has Incubus blood. And as you've seen in this chapter, that will play a significant role in regard to his Sex life both negatively and positively.
Moreover, for Devils, age isn't really an issue. On the contrary, it would be out of character for Devils to consider age to be a problem.
So, what do you all think of the story so far? I know it's slow-paced, and I apologize for that, but that's just how I've planned it. There's a lot I want to cover in each part of the story, so the pacing won't be changing—again, I apologize.
And if you want to read advanced Chapters, be sure to check out my P-atreon: https://www.pa.treon.com/c/NovaChronus
