Lisanna: Take Over · Ditto's... Mira!

Gaal was poking at the campfire, beginning his explanation: "You weren't possessed by a demon, you've simply awakened to Take Over Magic. But without proper guidance, you couldn't harness this power, which led to losing control upon taking over just one arm. However, you seem to have grasped it now."

Mira looked up, frowning at Gaal: "Magic?"

She glanced at her hands, sensing an innate force within her: "There's definitely a power. Is it from that demon? What about earlier today? "Angel?"

Lisanna quickly clarified: "Mira, Gaal isn't an angel, he's a very skilled mage. The angel form was also magic. Specifically, Equipment Change Magic!"

Gaal interjected: "It's called Requip Magic."

Despite this, Mira's face darkened: "Fake? And you, the so-called powerful mage, prefer fooling kids?"

Gaal shrugged, saying: "I'm just doing a good deed."

Mira snorted: "Never seen it done this way."

Gaal smacked his lips: "Really? What would you have done without my intervention? With that demon arm, you'd be shunned anywhere, stoned for being too different. A lonely white-haired girl, wandering with her siblings, resisting that power. But magic is merely a tool. You're still you, even if you embrace that power someday, it might be too late.

Perhaps, after encountering a powerful magical beast in the forest, you might see your sister die before your eyes and curse yourself for not accepting the power sooner, for not getting stronger earlier...."

Mira's eyes widened as she shouted: "Enough! That won't happen!!! It won't...."

Despite her anger, Mira's body trembled uncontrollably. A fear indescribably spread through her as if Gaal's foreseen future was her own with Elfman and Lisanna.

Witnessing Mira's shaking form, Lisanna and Elfman hurried to embrace her: "Mira...."

Gaal spoke softly while watching Mira: "Are you sure it won't? No one knows. I'm just scaring you for now, but when the real danger comes, it'd be too late for regrets. Must one lose dearly beloved ones to grow? I don't think so, at least not now. Isn't this better? You embrace magic, your brother becomes a man, and you have a sweet and loving sister. The future seems bright."

Much time passed.

Mira eventually calmed, looking complexly at Gaal and whispering a barely audible "Thank you."

Gaal, puzzled, looked around.

Mira, frustrated, forced a louder "Thank you!"

Snap!

A flash went off.

Surprised, Mira exclaimed: "What was that?"

She looked warily into the forest's depths, seeing only a fleeting shadow.

Gaal, whose expression turned peculiar, realized Mira had no idea about magic cameras.

Not surprising since the village didn't even know about the Magic Council; it was just too isolated.

Gaal spoke up: "Probably just some animal, stepping on a branch."

Mira, still skeptical, asked: "Is that it?"

Gaal, with a carefree demeanor, shrugged.

With no other choice, Mira considered it plausible but remained puzzled by the flash before shrugging it off and sitting down.

Gaal invitingly suggested: "Determined not to have a tragic future? Start getting stronger now."

Mira hesitated: "How do I do that?"

Gaal, smiling warmly at Mira, replied: "Join our guild, of course."

Mira froze: "Guild?"

Gaal nodded, explaining: "Yes, a mage guild. Our guild is called Fairy Tail, a reputable Light Guild, not like that dark church hidden in the mountains."

Mira's eyes widened: "You figured that out?!"

Gaal confirmed: "Yes, I followed the trail to your village, initially aiming to dismantle the Dark Guild. Unexpectedly, someone beat me to it."

Mira hurriedly clarified: "It wasn't me. I had sneaked out to see what was happening in the church. I saw them summoning a demon and then tried to flee, but I noticed it heading towards the village. After that....it's a blur."

Gaal deduced: "You must've awakened your magic in panic, absorbing the demon. Honestly.... That's quite absurd, but it shows you have remarkable talent. If you, as the eldest, can do it, surely your younger siblings can too—one of the reasons for my invitation. Joining the guild will allow you to harness magic better, ,maximizing your talent. As a mage, you'll take on tasks, earning hefty commissions, you can give your siblings a cozy house, buy lovely clothes, and...."

Mira stood with determination: "I'll join!"

Not for personal gain, but the opportunity was irresistible.

Elfman and Lisanna beamed, raising their hands:

"I'll join!"

"Me too!"

Gaal, grinning warmly at the trio, said: "Welcome to Fairy Tail."

Gaal stood, the firelight casting a glow on his frame as Mira and her siblings watched with curiosity.

Gaal, with a mysterious air and a smile tugging at his lips, announced: "Well then.... Let's have a feast!"

Around the campfire appeared an array of spinning treats: ice cream, pudding, strawberries, juice, bread—all unfamiliar delicacies to Mira and her siblings.

Their exclamations of wonder and starry-eyed gazes made the roast atop the fire pale in comparison.

Under the moonlight's gaze,

Four cups filled with juice clinked together by the campfire: "Cheers!"

---

Half a month later,

Aboard a large ship bound for the Fiore Kingdom,

Seeing the ocean for the first time, Lisanna and Elfman were brimming with excitement, running and playing on deck.

Mira, slightly embarrassed, called out: "Elfman, Lisanna! Stop running around!"

But to no avail.

With a helpless smile, Gaal approached, remarking: "The sea breeze is nice, once we cross this ocean, we'll be in the Fiore Kingdom. Magnolia Town is at the eastern border. We'll arrive shortly upon docking."

Mira, filled with anticipation, nodded.

After half an hour,

Possibly tired from their play, Elfman and Lisanna sheepishly returned to Mira's side, grinning.

Mira playfully glared at the mischievous two, asking: "How's your magic training?"

Gaal had taught them Take Over Magic, and Mira, fearing Gaal might have difficulty managing, assumed the role of the strict teacher.

Lisanna replied proudly: "I've learned it, Mira."

Elfman eagerly nodded, adding: "So have I!"

Curiosity piqued, Mira inquired: "What have you managed to take over?"

Gaal had provided the necessary items, but because they hadn't practiced successfully, Mira hadn't dared to ask or check.

Upon her question, Lisanna raised her hand: "Take Over Magic · Ditto!"

In a flash, Lisanna transformed into a purple blob of goo.

Mira was perplexed: "This...."

Yet in the next instant, her eyes widened.

The goo wriggled, morphing into an exact replica of Mira—clothes and all.

With a giggle, the faux Mira spun around, embracing the real Mira before addressing Elfman: "Brother, can you tell which one's the real sister?"

Elfman, baffled by the identical faces, outfits, and stature, hesitated: "This...."

Exasperated, Mira facepalmed, exclaiming: "Called her brother, couldn't you tell?!"

Elfman, realizing with a start, pointed at the fake Mira: "You're Lisanna!"

The mimic Lisanna stuck her tongue out, irking the real Mira, who playfully flicked her on the forehead: "Don't make weird faces using my face!"

Rubbing her forehead, Lisanna reverted to normal: "Ouch...."

Mira turned to Elfman, curious: "And you, Elfman?"

Elfman nodded, raising his hands: "Take Over Magic · Machamp!"

His arms shimmered with light, transforming into gigantic ones, muscles rippling with red designs.

Elfman, slightly bashful, scratched his head with one of the massive arms: "I'm not skilled yet, so I can only manage two arm takeovers. But Machamp is really strong, when I can fully transform, I'll stand before you, Mira."

Elfman declared earnestly.

Mira nodded, praising: "I'll be waiting then."

At that moment,

The ship's horn blared loudly as Mira turned to see the port in clear view. Gaal sauntered over, casually remarking:

"We're docking soon."

Mira nodded, feeling a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
