Chapter 9

Edith's POV

As I slowly open my eyes,I am greeted by the warm sunlight streaming through the window. I'm snuggled up beside Delvin and I can feel his gentle breathing as he sleeps. I found it really cute. I carefully get out of bed trying not to wake him up. I head to the kitchen to surprise him with his favorite breakfast –pancakes,eggs and coffee. As I start cracking the eggs and whisking them with a fork,I'm geeked with excitement and love.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the room. As I flip the pancakes,Delvin's arms wrap around my waist pulling me close. "Good morning," I said beaming with pride. "I'm making your favorite breakfast"

His warm breath tickles my ear,and I feel a shiver run down my spine. "You're the best," he whispers I blushed and smiled feeling content. I hand him a cup of coffee and set the table for breakfast. We sat while we enjoyed our breakfast. My heart was filled with gratitude for this quiet moment that i share with the person I care about most. He broke the silence saying "I'm taking you out so freshen up and be gorgeous for your prince. " He chuckled and I let out a loud laughter. I was happy and content I freshened up and wore a fitted black dress and a heel

We got to the restaurant in after half an hour. As we stepped out of the car onto the sidewalk,I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and luxury. The restaurant's exterior was elegant and breathtaking, with a sleep glass facade and a discreet entrance. Delvin offered me his arm and I took it as he led me inside. The interior of the restaurant was just as impressive as the exterior. The decor was refined,with crisp white tablecloths,sparkling crystal chandeliers and rich wood paneling. Ive been wanting to be in this place for a very long time and I was so happy he brought me here

The atmosphere was intimate and exclusive,with soft music playing in the background and the gentle hum of conversations from the other diners. We were greeted by a waiter who showed us our table close to the window and which was in the VIP lounge;"I couldn't believe this was happening"The table was set with fine napkin,crystal glasses and a small vase with a single rose added a touch of romance to the setting. Delvin, being the gentleman he is, offered to order for us and I happily agreed. He ordered a bottle of vintage champagne for the start,followed by a delicious seafood platter. As we sipped our champagne and waited for our food to arrive,Delvin took my hands in his and looked into my eyes "I'm so glad we're doing this" he said,his voice low and sincere. "You deserve to be treated like a queen and I'm happy to be the one to do it"

I felt a flutter in my chest as I smiled at him,feeling grateful and loved. The rest of the evening was a blur of delicious food,fine win and romantic conversation. We finished our dessert and prepared to leave. I was surprised he was able to pay for this luxurious restaurant but all the same,I really appreciated him

Elena then enters the restaurant when we were about to leave and introduced us to her "supposed boyfriend". She starts smiling unusually as she turned to hug me. I noticed what she did so I intertwined my fingers with Delvin and tell her we're leaving. She doesn't give the best of response because she still has a problem with me being with my Delvin.

We walked hand in hand to the car. He opened the door for me to sit and went to his. I thanked him for what he did today while looking at him and closed the gap between us by kissing him passionately showing how I love and cherish him and how grateful I am for making me the happiest person today. "I love you so much Delvin", I said after we paused from the kiss which left us breathless

Upon arrival at the hostel, we stayed in the car for sometime because Delvin wanted us to be there and express his love and affection to me. He talks a lot which made me emotional so I hugged him and thanked him for everything. Delvin pulls away and stares into my eyes and tells me "I love you so much and I'll do anything to make you happy". He then kisses me slowly on the lips after which I also reciprocate with a much tougher kiss from the heart
