"Hey, you idiot bro! Switch opponents, then knock them flat! Oh yeah!" Killer B shouted as he leaped closer. Even he had taken a beating from Sasori's Wood Release—it was maddeningly effective at absorbing chakra.
"Hmph!" The Raikage snorted in frustration and charged at Sasori.
Boom!
A massive tentacle smashed down, obliterating hundreds of Deidara's clay clones. Against a tailed beast, those simple clay duplicates were no match. Deidara himself soared into the air on a clay bird, locking eyes with the transformed Killer B.
"This is our second battle," Deidara sneered.
"But this time, I'm far stronger. Taking you down will be simple." He clapped his hands together, sending a swarm of clay dragons into the air, forming a dense swarm.
"Second time?"
"Oh, now I remember! It was you last time!" Eight-Tails' deep voice trembled with recognition and unease. Wood Release was troublesome enough, but this enemy seemed even more dangerous.
"Exactly. Now, witness my art!"
The swarm of dragons surged toward Eight-Tails, exploding in rapid succession. But the blasts barely scratched the surface, and Deidara hadn't expected them to.
"C2: Enhanced Type—Great Dragon!"
"C2: Enhanced Type—Giant Serpent!"
Two colossal clay beasts materialized, their predatory gazes fixed on the Eight-Tails.
"B, use a Tailed Beast Bomb now!" the Eight-Tails urged.
"If we let those things get close, we're toast!"
"It's not that bad," Deidara said calmly. "These two are still just C2 types. Their explosions are about five times the power of a standard Tailed Beast Bomb—roughly equivalent to only twice yours."
"Even if they exploded right in your face, at most, you'd be seriously injured," Deidara explained smugly before commanding the giant serpent to attack.
Boom!
Killer B unleashed a Tailed Beast Bomb, sending it hurtling toward the clay serpent. But the serpent burrowed underground, dodging the attack entirely.
Then, a clay dragon intercepted the bomb mid-flight.
"Ha!"
Boom!
The resulting explosion lit up the battlefield, bright as day even as far as the Konoha camp.
"What's going on?" someone shouted, shielding their eyes from the glare.
"It's coming from the Kumogakure camp! What's happening over there?"
"Everyone, follow me! We're moving out!" ordered Nara Shikaku. He quickly surmised that Deidara and Sasori must have launched a direct assault on the Kumogakure camp. If they succeeded, Konoha's forces could capitalize on the momentum. If they failed, they'd need to provide support—losing those two would cripple their ability to counter the Raikage and Eight-Tails.
Back on the battlefield, the clay serpent tunneled underground, inching closer to Eight-Tails.
"Like hell I'm letting that happen!" Killer B roared.
Eight massive tentacles lashed out, pulverizing the ground. Feeling for vibrations and spotting shifting debris, Killer B quickly locked onto the serpent's location.
Beep!
Another Tailed Beast Bomb formed, this one smaller but still deadly, fired with less charge time. It blasted into the ground, obliterating the clay serpent.
"Sigh. Every time I face a Tailed Beast Bomb, I have to counter with explosions. Such a hassle." Deidara grinned. "Which is why I created this."
"C3: Special Type—Devouring Frog!"
A rotund clay frog, larger than the Eight-Tails itself, appeared on the battlefield. It hopped in front of the serpent's remains, opened its massive mouth, and swallowed the Tailed Beast Bomb whole.
"This operates on the same principle as my Explosive Dragon and Flesh Mountain," Deidara explained. "But instead of creating internal explosions, it absorbs external energy to power its blasts."
"Not that you'd know those techniques."
Boom!
The frog's mouth snapped open, unleashing the Tailed Beast Bomb's explosion directly back at Eight-Tails.

[A's Shock Value +2500]
"This is absurd!" Eight-Tails exclaimed, desperately dodging. He'd fully taken over Killer B's body to bring out their maximum strength, but the situation still felt dire.
Hiss!
The clay serpent surged forward while Deidara created a swarm of giant clay insects for support.
"Triple Tailed Beast Bomb!" Eight-Tails roared, unleashing three in quick succession while retreating.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Devouring Frog swallowed one bomb, while Deidara sacrificed another dragon and countless clay creatures to neutralize the other two.
Despite everything, the Eight-Tails' sheer power kept the battle evenly matched. Any other tailed beast from One to Seven would've been overwhelmed already, but Eight-Tails' immense chakra reserves allowed it to keep spamming attacks.
"Damn it! This isn't working!"
"When did the ninja world get this dangerous?"
It was hard for the Eight-Tails to process. It was a tailed beast—the second strongest, no less. Why was it constantly getting thrashed?
Getting beat by the Rinnegan was one thing—it was Six Paths' power, after all. And the Wood Release? Fine, that was the First Hokage's legacy. But now, even this brat could push it to the brink?
As Eight-Tails fended off clay creatures and watched for the serpent, it struggled to keep up with the relentless assault.
"Damn bull-headed idiot! Watch out! That white snake's closing in!" Killer B's rap echoed through the chaos.
Eight-Tails snapped its focus back to the serpent, now alarmingly close. It had held on for so long, but this might be the end.
Bracing itself, Eight-Tails coiled its tentacles into a protective barrier. It might lose half its strength, but it would survive.
Or so it thought.
The explosion never came. Instead, a figure in a blue cloak hovered in midair, the blast harmlessly absorbed by an invisible wall.
"Shinra Tensei."
"Oh? We meet again so soon," Deidara muttered, eyeing Obito warily. A dangerous feeling crept over him.
Against Obito's Rinnegan, Deidara knew it would be a tough fight. They were evenly matched, neither having a clear advantage.
"These two are coming with me," Obito said coldly.
"Who's your subordinate?! I'm the Raikage of Kumogakure!" A bellowing Raikage emerged, his fight with Sasori ending in a stalemate.
"Is that so?" Obito replied indifferently. "Then I'll leave."
With that, he turned, prepared to depart.
"Wait! Please take us with you!" the Raikage finally relented, his voice heavy with frustration.
"Until next time," Obito said, addressing Deidara and Sasori before vanishing.
The Raikage clenched his fists in silent rage.
