"So it's you, Hashirama." Madara crossed his arms again, putting on a disinterested facade. "I never expected us to meet again."
"Madara, you're still alive?!" Senju Hashirama was utterly shocked. The Madara before him didn't appear to be an Edo Tensei summon but a living, breathing person.
"Tch!"
Hearing those words, Madara felt both annoyed and embarrassed. How could he possibly tell Hashirama that he had been defeated and forced into servitude?
"Enough talk, Hashirama. Let's fight!"
As the two legendary rivals clashed once more in an earth-shattering battle, chaos unfolded on the other side of the battlefield. Since Madara failed to achieve his intended objective, the remaining Edo Tensei summons had descended onto the battlefield.
"The Third Raikage, the Fourth Raikage, the Third Kazekage, the Third Mizukage, and even Kinkaku, Ginkaku, and Pakura…"
Seeing the overwhelming lineup before them, the shinobi felt immense pressure.
They had barely managed to hold their ground against the army of the dead, and now so many powerful figures had joined the fray. How were they supposed to win this fight?
"Hahaha! I never thought I'd see you again after death. Looks like I'll have to kill you once more."
"Senju Tobirama," Kinkaku and Ginkaku taunted arrogantly.
The Third Kazekage, on the other hand, locked eyes on Kakashi's red-cloud-patterned Akatsuki cloak.
"You're from the same organization as that guy, Sasori, aren't you?"
"Looks like it's time for some payback!"
"That's right! I want revenge too!" the Fourth Raikage declared.
"Hm? Son, were you killed by them?" the Third Raikage asked, turning to his son.
"Yes." The Fourth Raikage nodded. "And I'd wager that after my death, Kumogakure was completely wiped out by them."
"What?! The village was…?" Hearing this, the Third Raikage's fury exploded. His body crackled with electricity, and the sheer intensity of his chakra made his hair stand on end.
"You're dead meat!"
"Hell Stab: Four-Finger Nukite!"
Like father, like son—their tempers were equally explosive.
Upon hearing that his village had been destroyed, the Third Raikage lost all restraint. A violent surge of blue-violet lightning streaked across the battlefield, heading straight for Kakashi.
Boom!
But Kakashi's figure vanished in a puff of smoke—it was just a Shadow Clone. His real body, hidden in the shadows, broke out in a cold sweat.
The enemy's speed was terrifying! Unlike Madara's overwhelming raw power, this kind of opponent was so fast he could barely react. Death felt imminent.
"Hmph! Are you just going to keep running?" the Third Raikage scoffed. "In that case, I'll start by wiping out your subordinates and see how long you can keep hiding."
With that, he turned into a bolt of lightning and charged into the ranks of their forces, cutting through their defenses like a hot knife through butter.
Even among Kage-level opponents, few could break through his Lightning Release Armor, let alone ordinary shinobi.
Damn it!
Seeing this, Kakashi clenched his fists but remained cautious, scanning the battlefield for any other options. But his heart sank—he had none.
Tsunade, Might Guy, and Senju Tobirama were all occupied with multiple Edo Tensei opponents. No one could spare a hand to help.
"Wood Release: Thorn Killing Technique!"
Kakashi tried to use Wood Release to restrain the Third Raikage, but the instant he activated the jutsu, the Fourth Raikage spotted his location.
So, there you are!
With a flash of determination, the Fourth Raikage became a streak of blue-violet lightning, closing in on Kakashi in an instant.
"Lariat!"
Crap! Kakashi's Sharingan barely caught sight of the attack, but it was too late—the Fourth Raikage's strike was already closing in on his neck.
Whoosh!
Flying Thunder God Technique!
At the last second, Senju Tobirama appeared, grabbed Kakashi, and teleported them both to safety, narrowly avoiding the attack.
"Thanks, Second Hokage—"
"It's not over yet!" Before Kakashi could finish, a sudden whooshing sound came from behind.
The Third Raikage had already caught up!
"Hell Stab: Four-Finger Nukite!"
In the face of this deadly attack, Senju Tobirama didn't flinch. Instead, he flung Kakashi aside and grabbed the Raikage's arm—despite it piercing straight through his chest—and slapped several explosive tags onto him.
"You forget, I'm an Edo Tensei summon. Normal attacks won't kill me."
"Try my Tandem Explosive Tags!"
A brilliant yet terrifying jutsu, the Tandem Explosive Tags technique was a testament to Tobirama's genius. It created a continuous chain of explosions, capable of harming even the Ten-Tails.
The Third Raikage was quickly engulfed in the detonations, blasted into pieces.
And then… he revived again.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm also an Edo Tensei summon."
Senju Tobirama: "..."
The Third Raikage: "..."
Everyone: "..."
For the first time, Tobirama wanted to smack himself. Why did he invent such a troublesome technique in the first place?
Now they were facing an entire army of immortal enemies. How were they supposed to win?
"Hahahaha! Looks like being in Edo Tensei form isn't so bad after all!"
"As long as we avoid being sealed, we can do whatever we want!" Kinkaku and Ginkaku laughed.
"Then let's take out their sealing team first. That way, we'll be unstoppable!"
"Enough talk—let's move!" The Third and Fourth Raikage wasted no time. Turning into two streaks of blue-violet lightning, they charged toward the sealing corps.
Whoosh!
In a flash, Senju Tobirama teleported ahead of them and quickly formed hand seals.
"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"
A high-pressure jet of water sliced through the incoming lightning bolts. The Raikages, underestimating Tobirama's prowess in Water Release, relied on their Lightning Armor and didn't dodge.
As a result, they were both sent flying, deep gashes carved across their chests.
Tobirama's Water Severing Wave was sharp enough to slice through the roots of the God Tree. These two weren't getting off lightly.
But in the end, Tobirama's efforts felt futile. The Raikages recovered in an instant and resumed their attack, while even more powerful foes joined the battle against the sealing corps.
Since they couldn't die, they threw themselves into the fight without hesitation.
To make matters worse, the army of the dead had begun an all-out assault under Hōzuki Mangetsu's command.
The situation was growing dire.
"Yo! Looks like I made it just in time!"
At that moment, a playful voice rang out. Deidara's clay clone arrived, carrying a miniature version of his explosive factory.
