Five C4-level clay bombs detonated simultaneously, their explosions so massive that even people in the ninja world could clearly see them—let alone Deidara, who was on the moon itself.
Luckily, he had the presence of mind to quickly bury himself underground, and since he was positioned at a relatively safe distance, he barely managed to avoid the shockwave.
Otherwise, he would have been dead for sure.
"Cough! Cough!" After a while, Deidara crawled out from the ground, choking on the swirling dust filling the air.
Due to the thin atmosphere, the intense heat dissipated quickly.
Nearby, scattered paper fragments gathered together, reforming into Might Guy. His expression was serious as he gazed toward the spot where Uchiha Madara had been.
"Is the enemy dealt with?"
"No idea." Deidara shook his head. The mouths on his palms kept spitting out dirt, making him feel utterly uncomfortable.
This was his first time fighting an opponent of this caliber. He had no prior experience to help him judge the situation.
"I'll go check." The dust was so thick that their visibility was severely limited. Unable to see what lay ahead, Guy decided to investigate personally.
"Eight Gates! Open!"
Scarlet steam erupted once again as Guy shot forward at an incredible speed. If the Third and Fourth Raikage ran like streaks of violet lightning, then Might Guy at this moment was a crimson bolt, surpassing even the limits of what a human should be capable of.
If the enemy was only gravely injured, he had to seize the chance to finish the job.
However, just as he covered some distance, he suddenly sensed something ominous from above. A massive shadow loomed over him.
Looking up, he saw an enormous, armored black serpent tail crashing down. Though still covered by Susanoo's shimmering defense, the tail itself was bleeding and bore signs of burns.
So the explosion had done some damage after all.
Whoosh!
Guy accelerated sharply, narrowly dodging the attack. His movements were so fast that he left streaks of red light in his wake.
And then, through the lingering dust clouds, he finally saw him.
Uchiha Madara, standing there completely unscathed.
The only difference was that his body was now covered in a thin layer of dust.
It seemed the explosion had some effect—but it was minimal.
Seeing Guy's grim expression, Madara's excitement faded slightly, his gaze turning cold.
"So that was it? Seems like you have nothing left."
"In that case, this game is over."
He leaped off the White Snake Sage's body, and a massive black Susanoo emerged, towering over the landscape like a god of destruction. To anyone witnessing this, they were nothing more than insignificant ants before it.
Boom!
With just a single step, the entire moon seemed to tremble. But to Guy, that single foot was like a pillar holding up the sky—or rather, an entire mountain crashing down upon him.
Even with the insane speed granted by the Eight Gates, there was no escaping this death trap.
Reappearing beside Deidara in his Edo Tensei form, for the first time, a look of despair crossed Guy's face.
"I always say that youth never admits defeat, but this guy… I'm afraid even staking my life isn't enough to bring him down."
But Deidara, standing beside him, only grinned and mimicked Guy's tone.
"So, is this the moment where I have to risk my life to protect something important?"
Madara, now within striking distance, smirked. "Oh? Do you still have something stronger? Show me. Make me excited."
He didn't attack immediately, instead waiting to see what Deidara would do. It was an almost arrogant display of confidence—but that was just the kind of man he was.
Deidara pulled out a small clay sphere—his C4: Karura.
Madara's expression darkened with disappointment. "I've already experienced that technique."
"You have, yes. But this time—the focus isn't on that."
As Deidara spoke, he slowly removed his black cloak adorned with red clouds, revealing the secret he had kept hidden on his chest.
A fourth mouth.
Spanning across his torso, the grotesque maw opened wide and swallowed the clay sphere whole, then began to chew vigorously.
With each bite, Deidara's body started to expand like an inflating balloon, growing larger and larger.
Finally, when he seemed on the verge of bursting, he raised his gaze to Madara.
"This explosion… will definitely excite you."
"But if you get too excited and end up dead, don't blame me."
In mere seconds, Deidara's swelling body reached a size that could rival Madara's colossal Susanoo.
Madara's eyes narrowed. A sliver of unease flickered across his face.
But it was too late.
Deidara's expression was filled with fanatical ecstasy as he let out a triumphant cry.
"Behold! My ultimate art!
C0: Explosion!"
"Haah!"
BOOM!!!
Madara didn't hear it.
But back in the ninja world, countless people did.
Staring in disbelief, they watched as the moon—the celestial body that had graced their skies for generations—was engulfed in blinding light.
And then… it vanished.
Completely obliterated.
The moon was gone.
Despite it being nighttime, the explosion's brilliance briefly turned the world into day. The shockwave was so immense that it triggered tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and a cascade of natural disasters.
"Th-this time… the enemy must be dead, right?" Tsunade stammered, struggling to form a coherent sentence.
Beside her, Orochimaru had somehow arrived unnoticed. He quickly formed hand seals.
"Edo Tensei!"
A fully restored Deidara materialized before them.
"Heh! Did you see that?! My ultimate art!" Deidara grinned in exhilaration.
Everyone nodded in unison.
They saw it.
The moon was gone.
Kakashi hesitated before asking, "So… is the enemy defeated?"
Deidara scratched his chin. "Not sure. But if he survived that, I might just have to admit defeat."
Still, he decided to check his system panel for confirmation.
[Kaguya Ōtsutsuki +20,000]
[Uchiha Madara +15,000]
[Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo +13,000]
[Ōtsutsuki…]
[Ōtsutsuki Toneri +9,000]
…
Huh.
He had completely forgotten about the moon's original inhabitants.
Seems like Toneri got caught up in the blast.
Judging by the shock value points, it looked like Madara was truly gone this time.
Deidara instinctively looked up to confirm—only to see a woman with horns descending from the sky.
Oh, crap.
Madara was dead.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was not.
Not only Deidara but even the Sage of Six Paths and his brother appeared, ready for battle.
They couldn't let their mother destroy the world again.
"You're Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, aren't you?" Deidara spoke first. "I suggest you abandon any thoughts of ruling the ninja world. Otherwise, I'll have no choice but to blow myself up again."
Kaguya trembled, hastily stepping forward and bowing slightly.
"Please… don't. I won't dare!"
