The Ex

The morning sun streams through Nada's office windows as she briefs her clients on their upcoming engagements. Bianca sits forward in her chair, a determined glint in her eye.

"Brunch with Imelda? Good, I want to confront her head on," Bianca says, her smile sharp and ready.

Nada adjusts the hem of her dress, her expression cautious. "I like your fighting spirit, but don't forget, this will be a public event. The press will be watching your every move."

"Why Bianca and not me? I'm the one to blame there," Ken interjects, running a hand through his hair.

"Perhaps, but Bianca is the 'other woman'. Despite all the rumors, Imelda still has clout in this town. We can't underestimate her, and we definitely can't ignore her," Nada explains, her tone measured and professional.

Bianca reaches for Ken's hand, intertwining their fingers. "I understand... I'll be on my best behavior." Her smile turns genuine as she adds, "Whatever it takes."
