The demigod looked serious for a moment, his sharp gaze fixed on Anna, the brave young woman who dared to speak directly to him.
"I admire your spirit," he said, a slight smile breaking through his stern face.
"But do you really think I..."
His voice stopped, and Anna felt a wave of doubt hit her.
"Why has he stopped speaking suddenly?" She wondered
"Have I made a big mistake by talking to the demigod? Surely, someone like him wouldn't listen to me, system are you sure about this?"
"You know what? Fine," the demigod said, his words cutting through the tension in the room.
And everyone, especially the King, watched in shock.
"I will take you with me, moreI would give the King more time. If, after three months, you haven't given me a son and the King hasn't gotten a tear from a Naiad, I will destroy his entire family and start over."
"That's crazy!" Charlie shouted, anger flaring in his eyes as he glared at Anna.
"What kind of woman can have a child in three months, that will not be fair, to say the least."
The demigod looked at Charlie, his hands resting on the broken dining table.
"She has a courage that could match gods." He said,
"If she is brave enough to make a deal with me, she can be brave enough to have a child at that time. I don't care how she plans to do it."
Anna felt torn and worried. Certainly she couldnt have a child in three months, she couldn't even get pregnant to begin with. As these thoughts clouded her mind, Charlie, already furious, approached her with clenched fists.
"Brother!" Charles stepped in to calm things down. "Don't even think about it. What kind of King would that make you? A king that hits his subjects?"
The King paused, his expression changing, but the frustration still stirred inside him.
"Isn't this what you wanted me to do, your Majesty?" Anna asked, desperation in her voice.
"It is," he said sharply, his irritation clear.
"But on my terms, not like this. You've put yourself in a dangerous situation, Anna." Concern softened his tone just enough for her to notice.
Just then, the demigod spoke again, breaking the tension.
"You should thank her; without her bravery, I wouldn't have given you more time. And that being said…
He stood up and walked toward them confidently. Once in front of Anna, he tilted her chin up with his cold fingers, forcing her to look into his deep blue eyes, which seemed to carry a heavy burden.
"I will take her with me now. I don't have time for idle talk."
Anna's heart raced as nerves fluttered in her stomach. She tried to blame it on his cold touch, but deep down, she felt it was because of him, the demigod. He was undeniably handsome, but she felt contempt and disliked him already.
"Let her go, my lord," the Queen said firmly, holding the scared little princess. She would do anything to get Anna out of the castle regardless of how harsh it may sound.
"I am sure she knows what to do. One great dance shouldn't be her only success; let her do this as well. Afterall, it was your plan for her all along."
"Touching words," the demigod replied with a smirk.
"But I have urgent matters. Anna, come with me."
"May I take a moment to pack my things, my lord?" Anna asked, sounding polite. In reality, she just wanted a moment to breathe and prepare for what was coming.
In response, the demigod sneered, surprising Anna as he grabbed her wrist tightly.
"No," he said, his voice low and firm.
"As my partner, you'll get plenty of clothes if you obey."
A jolt ran through Anna as the demigod's grip tightened, making it impossible for her to pull away.
'He is just annoying.' She thought.
"Three months!" he shouted, his voice loud and clear.
"You have three months, King Charlie, before someone else takes your place."
Then he pulled her closer, placing his hand possessively on her waist, a smirk appearing on his face which was both charming and infuriating to Anna.
"You will regret this, my darling," he whispered, sending another wave of chills through her.
Everything about him was frustrating, his breath, sweet yet too tempting. Why did he smell like lavender? Of all scents, why this one? It made her skin crawl in a confusing way.
His long, silky hair brushed her cheek, and she couldn't help but dislike its perfection. She fought every reason she had to like the striking figure in front of her, but it was a constant struggle against the strange attraction he held over her.

The demigod took her from the Palace, and she realized she had said goodbye to her family for good to faced the challenge ahead.
"it's a storybook," she reminded herself.
"Get on," the demigod ordered, pointing to a magnificent black stallion by the fountain.
After taking a deep breath, she swung her leg over the horse's back and felt the warmth of the animal. She noticed his deep, watchful eyes focused on her, as if he was studying her every move. Looking around, she felt a flutter of worry when she realized there was no second horse tied nearby. This clearly meant that he would be riding alongside her.
"Oh heavens no!" She wanted to shout but held back.
She felt annoyed when his right arm wrapped around her waist while the other grabbed the reins.
"Does he want to ride with one hand?" Anna thought, but her curiosity faded as the horse began to move.
"Yeah, he is definitely riding with one hand. This is definitely not the day I would die."
