Chapter 447 Clash of the Past and Present

The Third Raikage and others made their move.

The Lightning Release Chakra Mode activated, and the speed it unleashed might not have been much to Sasuke.

But for Naruto, or any other shinobi, it was absolutely terrifying.

"Hell Stab ~ Three-Finger Nukite!" 

Lightning flickered, and in an instant, a surge of thunder erupted.

The Third Raikage's target was none other than Uzumaki Naruto.

However, at that moment, Naruto had no time to turn around or dodge!

"This is bad..." 

Shikamaru and the others had already recognized Naruto, even though he was cloaked in a black robe.

Just as they were filled with worry, another burst of lightning erupted.

It intercepted the attack aimed at Naruto from behind.

"Boom!" 

A deafening roar echoed as thunder and lightning clashed.

A voice rang out.

"Hmph! Can't you shinobi from Konoha just stay put for once?" 

Though the words were filled with complaint, the actions spoke louder.

The person who had blocked the Third Raikage's attack from behind was none other than the Fourth Raikage.

Seeing the familiar lightning, the Third Raikage sneered.

"Hmph! I thought you were already dead!" 

Hearing this, the Fourth Raikage chuckled.

"Old man, I'm not going to die that easily!" 

The Third Raikage noticed the Fourth Raikage's hand.

"It seems this era is still as turbulent as ever!" 

"Yeah, that's right. The organization controlling you is trying to capture all the Tailed Beasts to threaten the entire shinobi world. Our village's Eight-Tails has already..." 

With just that simple statement, the Third Raikage understood how dire the situation was.

"Is that so? It seems I've caused you all some trouble!" 

"Don't worry, old man. I've got this! I'm the Raikage of Kumogakure, after all!" 

The two shared a smile.

But in that instant, a sharp whistling sound cut through the air.

It was the Dust Release of the Second Tsuchikage, Mu!

The light of Dust Release surged forward.

As the Third Raikage was momentarily stunned, another burst of Dust Release erupted.

The two beams collided mid-air, creating a thunderous explosion.

The shockwave from the blast spread out, startling countless Iwa shinobi.

Someone had blocked the Second Tsuchikage's Dust Release! And within the Allied Shinobi Forces, the only one capable of using Dust Release was...

"The Third Tsuchikage-sama!" 

"Thank goodness! The Third Tsuchikage-sama has awakened!" 

"Is he alright?" 

"There's no way he's fine! The Third Tsuchikage-sama was severely injured earlier..." 

The Iwa shinobi were worried about the Third Tsuchikage's condition. After all, he was already advanced in age and had suffered such heavy injuries. How could he recover in such a short time?

In the air, the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, stared gravely at his teacher.

Mu!

"Ōnoki, you look pretty banged up!" 

Mu smiled, showing no visible concern, though deep down, he was worried about Iwagakure. He just wasn't the type to express it openly.

Ōnoki chuckled.

"Don't worry, sensei! I may be old, but this old bones still have some fight left in them." 

"At least for now, I can still hold on!" 

Mu nodded.

"That's good. Otherwise, no one would be able to stop me!" 

"Whoosh! Whoosh!" 

Below, two streams of water collided violently.

The Second Mizukage stared at Mei Terumī.

"Not bad with Water Release. Judging by your appearance, are you the current Mizukage?" 

Mei nodded, trying to catch her breath.

The Second Mizukage was clearly displeased.

"Has everyone in the village died out? Letting a woman become Mizukage?" 

"Damn it! After I died, the village ended up like this? What was the Third doing? Which generation Mizukage are you?" 

Mei was annoyed by the Second Mizukage's sexist remarks, but considering the era he came from, a time of endless war, it was indeed much harder for women to rise to prominence compared to the current shinobi world.

"I'm the Fifth Mizukage." 

Already the Fifth?

This brought some comfort to the Second Mizukage. It meant that Kirigakure had continued to endure, and there was no shortage of successors to the Mizukage title.

That was good.

But the fact that a woman held the title still angered him!

With a wave of his hand, the Second Mizukage unleashed Water Release: Water Gun Technique. In Mei's current state, dodging such an attack would be difficult.

But in that instant, a wave of cold air swept through, freezing the water droplets in mid-air.

The sudden appearance of the cold air made the Second Mizukage frown.

Standing before him was none other than Haku!

A wall of ice, formed by Ice Release, blocked the Second Mizukage.

Haku turned to the weakened Mei.

"Mei-sama, leave this one to me. You should rest for a bit." 

Mei nodded. With Haku handling the situation, she didn't need to worry too much.

But the question was was Haku really stepping in just to block the Second Mizukage?

The Second Mizukage studied Haku.

Another woman? And judging by her technique, she seemed to be from the Ice Release clan of the village.

"Not bad! You blocked my technique so easily. You seem pretty strong!" 

"Boom! Boom!" 

Elsewhere, gold dust clashed with regular sand.

The shinobi of Sunagakure felt a deep sense of helplessness.

The Fourth Kazekage was now fighting against the Fifth Kazekage.

Father and son, once united, were now enemies.

Rasa looked at the youthful Gaara.

"Gaara, you've become Kazekage too?" 

Gaara nodded.

"Yes. I am now the Fifth Kazekage." 

"Heh... To think Sunagakure has fallen so low, letting a kid become Kazekage..." 

Sunagakure had always struggled, but it seemed that after his death, things had only gotten worse. So much so that his son, Gaara, had to become Kazekage at such a young age.

But still, it was good.

Gaara's ability to become Kazekage was a sign that things were moving forward, in a way.

Kage against Kage, the past clashing with the present.

This battle filled the Allied Shinobi Forces with excitement.

It was a fight that transcended time, as former Kage and current Kage clashed.

However, the situation wasn't optimistic. The current Kage were all injured, and the outcome of the battle... might not be favorable.

Meanwhile, the last of the Five Kage, Tsunade, the Hokage, chased after Naruto.

Seeing Naruto lead Minato to a distant spot and stop, Tsunade landed behind him.

"Naruto, what are you planning?" 

Naruto turned, pulling down his hood.

"Hokage-sama, my father has the other half of the Nine-Tails' chakra. If I can gather all of Kurama's chakra, then maybe... maybe I'll have the power to defeat Sasuke!" 

Tsunade was stunned.

So Naruto only had half of the Nine-Tails' chakra? She had never considered that before.

But this could work.

"Naruto... are you sure this is safe?"

Losing control of the Nine-Tails would be disastrous.

Naruto: "Don't worry, Kurama's on my side!"

He then looked at Minato, who was heavily sealed.

"The problem is, Sasuke's seal is too strong. I can't retrieve the Nine-Tails' chakra from my father like this."

Sealing techniques!

Tsunade smiled.

"Don't worry. We have plenty of sealing experts, especially on this battlefield."
