Sirius Black with a Smeared Face

Although in the original book, Harry and the others discovered the damaged portrait of the Fat Lady when they returned to the Gryffindor common room after the Halloween dinner, this does not mean that Sirius Black broke in at that moment.

Sirius Black could have broken in at any time between the start of the Halloween dinner, after all the wizards had gathered in the Great Hall, and the end of the dinner.

After all, when Harry and the others discovered that the Fat Lady's portrait had been destroyed, Sirius Black had already fled.

However, Lynn and Irina arrived not too late, but not too early either.

Just five minutes after they arrived, Lynn and Irina heard a movement from the other side of the wooden door that connected the secret passage to the Shrieking Shack.

Apparently, it was Sirius Black!

Not long after, the wooden door opened, and the worn, faded but still handsome face of Sirius Black when he was young appeared in the doorway.

Upon discovering a small wizard and a small witch in the Shrieking Shack, Sirius Black was visibly stunned, and a look of panic crossed his face.

Although Sirius knew he was innocent, his wanted notice was still up in The Daily Prophet. Instead of being captured by these two young wizards who seemed to be Hogwarts students and being handed over to the Ministry of Magic, it would be better to knock them out in advance and escape.

Unfortunately, the Shrieking Shack probably wouldn't be usable anymore.

Thinking this, Sirius quickly drew his wand without hesitation and pointed it at the small witch, who appeared easier to deal with: "Expelliarmus!"

Seeing a red light coming toward her, Irina slightly turned and hid.

Realizing there was a misunderstanding, Irina turned to Lynn for help.

Feeling Irina's gaze, Lynn shrugged and said, "If he wants to fight, then let's fight. He probably won't listen to our explanation right now. We'll wait until he's subdued and explain things slowly."

Upon hearing this, Irina nodded slightly, her eyes becoming sharp.

"Ice Field!"

Irina shouted, and an endless expanse of ice spread in all directions with her as the center.

In an instant, the entire Shrieking Shack turned into a world of ice and snow.

Before it stopped, countless ice cones condensed from thin air, and with a wave of Irina's hands, they shot toward Sirius with the force of thunder.

At the same time, ice sheets condensed in the cold wind, cutting toward Sirius along with the chilly, biting wind.

Seeing Irina unleash such a powerful spell, Sirius suddenly showed a look of disbelief.

He even doubted whether the small witch in front of him had transformed into an old witch hundreds of years old.

The power of such a spell was not inferior even to that of the Ministry of Magic's elite Aurors!

However, Sirius was no amateur.

Being part of the Order of the Phoenix and serving in it meant that Sirius' magical level had reached at least that of an elite Auror. Although he had been imprisoned in Azkaban for many years and had not used magic for a long time, his combat experience was still intact.

Facing countless ice spikes and ice blades flying from within and outside his field of vision, Sirius simply closed his eyes and used the magic released from his body to sense the threats around him.

Sirius rolled and jumped to avoid most of the ice spikes and some of the flying ice blades. He then waved his hand and cast a silent Protego to block the remaining ice spikes and ice blades from Irina.

Although Irina's ice domain was very powerful, her subsequent attacks with ice cones and ice blades were physical attacks and did not contain magical power.

Therefore, Sirius' Protego spell barely had any difficulty in blocking the ice spikes and ice blades.

"Lynn, do it."

Irina glanced at Lynn, who stood next to her like an ancient god, with some resentment.

Lynn smiled and said, "If you're being defeated, I'll step in. This battle will be considered a training experience for you."

Unlike Lynn, who spent half of the summer fighting in Leffei Alley, Irina had very little battle experience. Most of her previous encounters were overwhelming, except for dealing with Quirrell and the Basilisk. Those situations didn't have much effect on her.

However, the magical level of Sirius today was not inferior to Irina's, and he had strong combat awareness. He was an excellent sparring partner for Irina.

Most importantly, Sirius, Harry's godfather, would never kill a Hogwarts student, even if Irina were alone and Lynn wasn't around to back her up. Irina didn't need to worry about her life.

After receiving Lynn's response, Irina also reacted.

She no longer sought help from Lynn but instead focused on the battle more carefully.

Irina's right hand, holding her wand, trembled slightly, and three red lights representing Expelliarmus spells shot toward Sirius almost one after the other.

Not only that, as Irina waved her left hand, another three freezing spells shot out of the air toward Sirius, one to his left, one to his right, blocking his movements.

Seeing this, Sirius, who was not too far away, suddenly broke into a cold sweat.

Silent casting, silent casting without a wand—Is this really what a little witch at school can do?

Even Sirius himself had only learned to cast silent spells and simple spells without a wand. As for casting silent spells without a wand, that was simply not something he could do.

"Armor for protection! Armor for protection!"

Facing the successive attacks and realizing his movements were blocked, Sirius had no choice but to layer Protego spells over himself.

If the person here was a dark wizard, they might have used dark magic to break Irina's spells. But as a former member of the Order of the Phoenix, how could Sirius use dark magic on Hogwarts students?

Looking at the suppressed Sirius, Irina was not unreasonable.

This year, Irina was only a third-year witch. Naturally, her magical reserves could not compare to Sirius', an adult wizard. If it were a direct fight, she would have no chance of winning.

Therefore, she could only use her other abilities.

"Come, little winged demon! Just knock him out, don't hurt him!"

Irina whispered.

When she finished speaking, what seemed like a bracelet on her wrist suddenly moved. The "bracelet" detached from her wrist and flew toward Sirius.

As the little winged demon neared Sirius, it suddenly spread its wings, which were already two to three meters wide, and its entire body enveloped Sirius' face.

Not long after, Sirius felt his vision go black and then lost consciousness.
