The Foley Family's Collection of Books

"What brings you to this corner, Minister Fudge?" Madam Rosmerta asked.

As the owner of the largest pub in Hogsmeade, Madam Rosmerta was always well-informed, with most of her sources coming from the patrons at Three Broomsticks.

Upon hearing Madam Rosmerta's words, Fudge's plump lower body shifted uneasily in the chair. It seemed like he was checking if anyone was eavesdropping around him.

Then Fudge whispered, "What else, my dear? It's Sirius Black, isn't it? I suppose you've heard what happened at Hogwarts Castle on Halloween?"

"I've heard a few rumors," Madam Rosmerta nodded.

At this, Professor McGonagall shot an angry look at Hagrid: "Did you tell the whole pub, Hagrid?"

Aside from Hagrid, who grew up drinking Veritaserum, she couldn't think of anyone else who would reveal such scandalous things to strangers.

"Do you think Black is still around, Minister?" Madam Rosmerta asked quietly.

Fudge replied calmly, "I believe he is still here."

"Did you know the Dementors searched my pub twice?" Madam Rosmerta's tone was slightly harsh. "Those damn ghosts scared all my customers! It's really hurting my business!"

"Rosmerta, my dear, I don't like them either," Fudge said, a little embarrassed, showing his usual audacity, "But this is a necessary precaution. As for what happened to you, I thank you. I'm truly sorry."

"And you see, I just met a couple of Dementors who were furious with Dumbledore because he wouldn't let them onto the castle grounds."

Fudge tried to shift the blame onto Dumbledore.

"I can't even look at him," Professor McGonagall said angrily, "How can we teach when those horrible things are around?"

"Yes, yes!" Professor Flitwick said, also irritated.

"However, they're here to protect us from even more terrifying threats, and we all know what Black is capable of!" Fudge argued.

After hearing Fudge's words, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, and Madam Rosmerta fell silent.

After a while, Madam Rosmerta spoke thoughtfully, "You know, I still can't believe it. Of all the people to have turned to the dark forces, Sirius Black is the last one I would've expected… I mean, I remember how he was when he was at Hogwarts. If you'd told me what he'd become, I would've said he drank too much mead."

"You don't know half of it, Rosmerta. Very few people know the worst of what he did," Fudge said curtly.

Madam Rosmerta's voice was full of curiosity, "You mean something worse than killing all those innocent people?"

"Of course," Fudge responded, "I can hardly believe it. What could be worse?"

"You said you remembered him from Hogwarts, Madam Rosmerta," Professor McGonagall said quietly. "Do you remember who his best friend was?"

"Of course I remember," Madam Rosmerta laughed, "I never saw them together, did I? The few times they were here… oh, they made me laugh, like they were doing a double act. And James Potter!"

In this way, without realizing it, these people revealed that Sirius Black might have betrayed the Potter family.

Lynn's eyes shifted from the foolish Fudge to Harry. He saw the wine glass in Harry's hand fall to the floor, and his eyes seemed to grow dim.

"You said, is it really okay for us to keep Harry in the dark like this?"

Irina leaned toward Lynn. She had already finished her butterbeer and was watching with delight as Fudge and Madam Rosmerta spilled all the secrets that shouldn't have been told, as though it was a double act.

Lynn chuckled quietly. He looked at Irina beside him and said calmly, "Don't say you're like us. If you can make Harry have a brain like Hermione, I'd be willing to tell him the truth, instead of keeping it all hidden."

Irina nodded helplessly.

Although with her and Hermione's help, Harry was now much smarter than in the original books, Harry was still prone to getting carried away when facing certain things.

Therefore, to prevent Harry from ruining the situation, it was better for them to let Harry follow the original path.

Just as Lynn and Irina were speaking quietly, a deafening scream came from nearby.

"Despicable and filthy traitor!"

As Hagrid yelled, the entire bar fell silent.

Everyone in the bar turned their attention to Hagrid.

Irina looked in Hagrid's direction with a speechless expression. With a mouth that big, why should he worry about not being able to pass on the secret?!

After a while, Professor McGonagall and the others left the Three Broomsticks one by one.

Soon after some people left, Harry and the others also departed.

Harry looked distressed as he left, clearly deeply affected by Madam Rosmerta's conversation with Fudge.

Seeing both groups leave, Lynn shrugged toward Irina and said, "We've seen enough of this farce, it's time to go."

Irina nodded slightly, put down the butterbeer glass she had in her hand, refilled it, and then finished it.

"By the way, do you have anything planned for Christmas?"

After paying the bill, Lynn turned and asked.

Irina shook her head and said, "No, nothing. I guess I'll stay at Hogwarts Castle during the holidays."

Hearing this, Lynn smiled and said, "How about we leave three days before Christmas? Yesterday, Irvine invited us to visit the Foley family and showed us the Foley family's book collection."

Since Irvin had officially joined Lynn and Irina's camp, it was significant for Irvin to help them.
