Chapter 262

"Look, that hot air balloon is landing!!"

As the vehicles drove further out to the outskirts, Squala, who was driving, couldn't help but exclaim as he gazed at the scene ahead.

He wasn't the only one to notice; the other mafia families also took note of the hot air balloon's descent. Each one slammed on the gas, recklessly charging toward the landing site.

"Follow them!" Basho, seated in the passenger seat, suggested. "But don't go too fast, just tail these mafia families."

"Everyone from the auction has disappeared, even Tocino and Ivlenkov have been taken out."

"This indicates that the enemy is certainly strong. Let them test the waters first. If they can handle it, then we can step in later. But if the opponent is beyond our expectations, we can stay on the sidelines, relay first-hand information, and act when the time is right."

Having been in the bodyguard business for years, Basho indeed had rich life experience and immediately made the most correct decision. The others had no objections and expressed their agreement.

Thus, the Nostrade family's vehicle maintained a steady pace, trailing behind, watching as one vehicle after another rushed toward the direction of the already landed hot air balloon. Below the hot air balloon, it was already bustling with activity.

"Oh yeah! Bang! Bang!"

The constant sound of gunfire echoed across the open land.

"Now, behave yourselves, and later you'll decide whether you want to drown or be buried alive!!"

"If you keep causing trouble, you'll only die in an uglier way, you bastards!!"

In the desert's mountainous terrain, numerous mafia family members fired warning shots into the sky, intimidating a group of people on the high ground.

The noisy commotion made Nobunaga on the high ground itch his ears.

"Their way of greeting is a bit outdated, isn't it?"

"After all, it's the mafia's signature opening line," Shalnark chuckled.

"However, it's not very original and quite noisy," Machi said, arms crossed, looking coldly at the crowd below.

Seeing someone finally show up, the mafia below became even more aggressive.

"The noise is driving me crazy!!" Uvogin swung his arm and grinned, "Let me go down and play with them!!"

With that, he ignored everyone else's reactions and hurriedly slid down. His actions seemed rather impatient.

"Uvogin can't hold back anymore," Nobunaga said, tugging at his small mustache and laughing from the high ground. With Uvogin stepping in, the ants below were basically no threat.

"Let's hope the commotion he causes isn't louder than this bunch's shouting," Morin said as he stepped forward for a look. Over the years, Uvogin had indeed made considerable progress.

When they first arrived in Yorknew City, Uvogin had eagerly sought out Morin for a good fight. Although Uvogin ultimately lost, his progress left a deep impression on Morin.

After all, from the beginning, he had gained insights into enhancing his Nen abilities. Uvogin was much stronger than in the original version.

And it wasn't just Uvogin; the growth of the others was also evident.

Take Nobunaga, for example. Morin glanced at him twice. Although he still seemed like a carefree ronin swordsman, Morin could sense the hidden sharpness and edge within him. Once he drew his sword for an iai strike, the power of that first slash would undoubtedly be top-tier among Enhancers.

The Phantom Troupe now truly had the aura of the world's number one criminal group, both in reputation and strength.

"Alright, with Uvogin confronting them, it should draw out those so-called Shadow Beasts," Shalnark said with a slight stretch. "So, what should we do?"

"We could take the chance to relax a bit," Morin suggested, producing a few cards in his hand. "How about a few rounds?"

"I'm in," Feitan said, pulling his hands out of his pockets and shaking them. "I've been wanting to beat you guys for a while."

"Gladly," Machi's eyes sparkled. When it came to the skills of winning money, she wasn't inferior to anyone.

"Then it's settled!!" Shalnark said eagerly.

Morin casually set up a card table. He, Feitan, Shalnark, and Machi prepared to play.

---

As Nobunaga sat at the table, observing the unfolding battle below, Franklin stood nearby, spectating.

Thus, on this desolate wasteland, a scene unfolded where both above and below were engaged in heated battles—albeit against different opponents.

"Come on, come on, come on!!"

Uvogin charged into the mafia ranks like a wolf among sheep. One small-time gangster attempted to shoot him, only for Uvogin to catch the bullet in his mouth, then backhand the man's neck with a 360-degree spin.

Uvogin then unleashed his unstoppable rampage, his massive hands sweeping through the crowd.

A single slap was enough to send most to the afterlife, and few could withstand two. Whether it was people or vehicles, Uvogin destroyed everything in his path with reckless abandon. He was like a tank, unstoppable.

Even when the mafia deployed rocket launchers and rifles, Uvogin easily deflected the former with a Nen-covered hand, while the latter, which claimed to pierce armored vehicles, merely tickled him.

No mafia member present was a match for Uvogin. As he continued his rampage, more mafia members arrived at the scene. Feitan would say they came all this way just to die—how considerate of them.

When Uvogin's overwhelming strength and the unparalleled destructive power of an Enhancer became apparent, the mafia finally realized they were facing an unbeatable foe—a complete monster. They immediately sent messages back to headquarters, reporting the situation.

As Uvogin continued his slaughter, the remaining Nostrade family bodyguards, including Kurapika, arrived at the scene.

"There's actually someone who can block a rocket with just one hand..." Squala, part of the bodyguard team, swallowed hard, finding it hard to believe. Uvogin's performance was like a gorilla fighting a swarm of ants.

The only word to describe Uvogin was strong—unparalleled strength. He had developed his Enhancer Nen abilities to their fullest potential.

"The enemy can use Nen, and it's astonishingly powerful!" Melody exclaimed, observing the scene through binoculars, seeing the ground littered with bodies. Uvogin was tearing people apart with his bare hands, like shredding paper, leaving no room for resistance.

"Hey, what are we waiting for? Let's get out of here!!" Squala naturally felt the urge to retreat. "I don't want to die trying to capture him!!"

"No, the boss said we should wait for the right moment," Kurapika shook his head, refusing. Although he didn't want to cause trouble, and the Phantom Troupe members were indeed formidable, he was new to the bodyguard world. Retreating out of fear and ignoring the boss's orders would ruin his career.

"That's right," Basho agreed with Kurapika. "Even though I don't want to go, I'm no match for him, and the situation is indeed dire, but this is our mission. We can't just stand by."

This was their job, and Basho wanted to see how things would unfold.

"Are you all crazy?!!" Squala couldn't understand their mindset. He only wanted to save his own life, earn enough money quickly, and escape with Eliza. Planning to resign from this line of work, he had no professional dedication.

Kurapika and Basho ignored him, focusing more on the situation.

"Is this the level of an Enhancer trained to mastery?" Basho's expression was serious, the pressure and killing intent from the battlefield making it hard to breathe. "It's not something an ordinary Nen user can handle."

Kurapika was also assessing the strength of the enemy. "Indeed, that guy is a specialist in Enhancer Nen. His body is beyond any mere tank. People like him truly crawl out from piles of corpses, existing solely for destruction and slaughter."

At that moment, a voice suddenly came from behind the group of bodyguards.
