6. Graduation

"So, you want to graduate?"

"Yes."

I nodded as the principal of the school read my application.

"What are your plans for future then? Which university are you going to pursue?"

Eww... Why would I pay insane amount of money to those useless scamming institutions? I am already a millionaire. And everything they teach can mostly be found on YouTube. And youtubers explain things much better.

"Stanford."

Still, I gave a generic answer. Doesn't mean that I will waste my time there. Or preparing to go there.

He nodded and looked at my report card from middle school.

"Straight As in all subjects... and I heard from Mrs Taylor that you draw cartoons."

Did he just say, 'Cartoons'?

Anime/Manga and Cartoons are totally different!

"Manga to be exact. One of my work is even getting an anime adaptation. One episode has been published."

He was clearly looking down on my 'cartoons'.

"Alright. Call your parents tomorrow."

"Have a good day, sir."

I left his office, and went back home.

That principal will surely make a lot of fuss. And my parents will definitely make a fuss on my decision to not go to a university.

Still, I searched for a distance learning program for a social science college, because getting a degree in a subject where memorising matters the most will be super easy.

After finding the cheapest one, which is not a scam, I called Mom.

"Cindy! A call came from your school! You want to apply for early graduation!?"

"Yeah Mom. I don't want to deal with school anymore."

"Alright. Then we will come to your school tomorrow to convince your principal for early graduation. He didn't seem to be too intent on it."

...

Is a Skrull pretending to be my mother-

"But you must get all As. And start preparing for college."

That's Mom alright.

"Yeah-"

"What do you want to become? Doctor or Engineer?"

"..."

"K-pop? I will give you a Whitening bleaching-"

"Mom. I am already a millionaire. I have gotten an anime as well."

"I know. But you have more potential-"

I hung up the phone.

Sigh. I hope they don't put too much expectations on my Lil bro.

No wonder Koreans are going to become extinct in a century or something because of low birth-rates. Parents really expect too much from their children.

I sighed and laid on my bed, rummaging through all my textbooks for the next years to prepare for the graduation exam.

By the night, I was done with everything. Eidetic memory really brings wonders to my life.

Before going to bed, I turned on the TV to watch JJJ. It has least propaganda compared to other channels.

"Spider-Man is a menace to the society!"

...Well...

I turned the TV off and went to sleep.

The next day, I went to school with my parents.

And the principal started ranting.

"While Cindy is certainly a good student, it wouldn't do good for her to skip grades.

Gwen and Peter, who come at first and second positions respectively, haven't applied for early graduation.

So, it doesn't make sense for the third position holder. I advise you to let her remain in the school and compete with them."

Dad raised an eyebrow towards me.

"Cindy, you should aim for first-"

"There isn't anything to compete on. I am social science student, Gwen is going for bio, and Peter for maths. We won't be in the same course after this year anyway."

Mom slapped Dad on the thigh, and whispered something to him angrily.

'Let Cindy do what she wants.'

I was shocked to hear what Mom said. Is Mom a tsundere? That's why she has been so ordering in the past?

...Why can't parents just speak what's in their mind?

After some back and forth, the principal finally relented.

"Alright. So Cindy, when will you be ready to take graduation test?"

"I am ready."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Then..."

He took out some papers from his drawer and handed them to Mrs Susan, my class teacher.

They looked like sample papers.

"Go to classroom 1-D. Mrs Susan, you will be the proctor."

Whew! Good thing I don't have to wait for months to take these exams with the graduating class.

By the time school was about to end, I handed all my answer sheets of all the subjects. Not only my thought process has increased several times, but also my writing speed without ruining my handwriting.

I faked feeling sprain in my hand, and bye-bye'd my class teacher who was shocked at me finishing my tests so fast.

"You will get the results soon."

She said, and we headed back.

"Mom, Dad, I am tired, so I am going home."

"Cindy, rest with us."

"No. I have gotten an idea which I want to draft."

Refusing to rest in my parents' home, I went back to mine.

Thankfully, this excuse always works.

My parents dropped me at home, and went back to their own.

Alright. School is done now. So, I can now focus on the important aspects of my life.
