Chapter 15: Wipe and a Meeting Between the Three Guilds

Sparks flashed as one of the warriors defended himself from a dark elf's dagger.

The player couldn't help but admire the beauty before his eyes. The graphics and details of these enemies were quite high. Unfortunately, she was an enemy and was desperately trying to kill him.

'Damn this game. If only I could make this dark elf my waifu.'

While he was distracted, daydreaming about the dark elf.

A dark shadow had already manifested behind his back. Another dark elf viciously lunged her dagger toward his spine.

"Spinal Evisceration."

A rogue ability that was quite good for finishers and stunning an enemy. The player couldn't defend his back in time as he was viciously met with the dagger. Of course, the dark elf was the matriarch of the dark elves as she was the only one who was an actual rogue, instead of a Verminscourge.

[Stunned for 3 seconds.]

[You have been killed.]

This scene wasn't uncommon. As countless messages of dead party members constantly flashed across 2MuchVodka's face.

It wasn't surprising.

The dark elves outnumbered the players 2:1, not only that. The Practitioners of Pestilence were able to launch an attack, constantly debuffing the players. The other dark elves worked to keep the players in the area of effect.

Leading to a vicious cycle, where the priests couldn't cure the players nor could the antidotes help them.

As it would lead to a wastage of mana and items. This was why, Boundless Plates, had ordered the players to just save the antidotes. In his eyes, the run was already doomed. Using the antidotes would just be a waste of resources.

Luckily for the players, some of them were able to kill the dark elves. Allowing for some of the players to relieve their anger.

Boundless Plates and another player ganged up on a lonely dark elf, who was separated from the rest of the group. Her extreme agility couldn't save her, as one of the players in Boundless Plate's group was a guardian, who had already taunted her.

'Damn, these dark elves are annoying. They have so many cockroach-like moves, especially that ability that could substitute their body with a swarm of rats. Allowing them to escape damage and abilities, and reform to a nearby area. What kind of class are they? They seem to be rogues, but their abilities are more sinister than rogues.'

'Luckily, it seems like the ability has a long cooldown as she hasn't used it in a long time.'

The guardian slammed his shield into the dark elf's face. Her nose crumpled under the blow, and her eyes blazed with fury. Unfortunately, her anger couldn't do much. Boundless Plates activated a move that allowed him to teleport behind a target 5 meters near him.

"Shadowstep."

Now appearing behind her, Boundless Plates's eyes flashed with a cold gleam as he viciously swiped at her neck.

"Serrated Slash!"

The dagger cut through her neck like butter, and her head was sent spinning around in the air. Her headless body soon crumpled like a puppet that had lost its string. Boundless Plates couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

These dark elves were like cockroaches, truly hard to kill if you couldn't make them use all of their moves.

Unfortunately, this was quite a rare scene. As it was mainly the players getting slaughtered instead of the dark elves. Being able to kill a few dark elves was a testament to Boundless Plate's ability already.

Although he had been made the butt of a joke, no one couldn't deny that he was extremely skilled.

The players and the dark elves had been clashing for a few minutes by now, and the number of players had already been reduced from 50 to 22. Half of the players had already been killed, in a few minutes.

If the trend stayed constant, the rest of the players would soon be wiped out. Not only that, it seemed as if the players would only be able to survive for a few more minutes. As most of the priests had already been killed.

The Corrosive Green Skull was a vicious move, it could be kept up indefinitely as long as the dark elves had mana to sustain it. The priests had used their lives to keep the other players afloat, but they had limited mana and they were the priority target of the dark elves.

So this led to the situation where the priests were dead but the rest of the players were still alive.

But, it wouldn't stay for that long as most of the players were level 9. This meant that most of them had about 550 HP, which also meant that they would die in under a minute. Because the Corrosive Green Skull dealt 150 damage every 10 seconds.

The only thing that could save them, is if the players found and located the wizards who were casting the spell.

While the players were struggling against the Dark Elves, 2MuchVodka had it even worse. Much to his dismay. The priests that were supposed to be healing him, had been mysteriously killed at some point.

This meant that he had to contend with the Swamp Giant by himself.

"Argh!"

2MuchVodka was sent hurtling away. As the Swamp Giant's gigantic fist sent him flying away like a cannonball. Not only that, he had been poisoned while blocking the attack. Making him curse internally.

Not only did it deal a devastating amount of damage, but it also poisoned you.

2MuchVodka seriously wanted to curse the creator of the games, why did they create such a sadistic dungeon?

He could only block 5 more of the giant's fists before he was killed. He had run out of healing potions and the priests were dead. And the moment he died, the players behind him would have to face the rampage of the giant.

So, he switched strategy.

Rather than attempting to block the giant's crushing blows, he focused on evading them. The giant's immense strength was undeniable, but its movements were sluggish and predictable, giving him the chance to read its attack patterns. If he could manage this, then he would be able to buy more time for the rest of the players.

So with determined eyes, he watched as the giant's massive fist hurtled toward him once more.

Moving with razor-sharp precision, he rolled to the side at the last moment, the fist grazing past his body.

'Success!'

Before he could celebrate for too long. The giant's clenched fist unfurled like a blooming flower, revealing a mass of wood-like tendrils writhing beneath. With unnatural speed, the tendrils lashed out, twisting mid-air to change direction. Despite his frantic attempts to evade, 2MuchVodka was ensnared, the tendrils wrapping around him like a cocoon.

With its prey firmly in its grasp, the giant roared in triumph before slamming 2MuchVodka into the ground with relentless force. The brutal onslaught continued until, with a final devastating blow, 2MuchVodka's soon departed, as it left behind a devastating message.

[Player '2MuchVodka' has been killed.]

The players who read the message had turned pale like ghosts, as the shaking of the earth alerted them of the new problem that was approaching.

A gigantic creature was charging towards them, as the dark elves who were in front of them celebrated. Boundless Plates had it the worst, as he viciously let out a few curses while spitting at the dark elves who stared at him in disdain.

Not wanting to be killed by the dark elves or the giant, Boundless Plates took a page out of Snow Flower's book.

Swiftly stabbing his dagger into his neck. While holding two gigantic middle fingers to the dark elves, his body turned into blue particles.

The rest of the players swiftly followed his footsteps. The 50-man raid was completely wiped out.

...

[You have earned '5000 Dungeon Points'.]

Seeing the amount of Dungeon Points, Hale couldn't help but nod. It didn't surprise him. It seemed as if the amount of Dungeon Points he earned, depended on the strength of the enemies.

Seeing as players with no classes gave him 50, while those with tier 1 classes gave him 100. He assumed those with tier 2 classes would give him 150 or 200.

With great excitement, he purchased Floor 2 for the dungeon.

[Purchased 'Floor 2']

[-15000 Dungeon Points]

Hale's awareness stirred as the dungeon began to shift and grow. The ground and waters of the first floor trembled, rippling with energy, while the space below expanded dramatically. The new space under the first floor was the second floor, a new area where he could design and create, whatever he wanted based on his desire.

The system gave him the right to create his area this time, unlike the swamp that he had been given originally.

Hale had a good idea of what he wanted the second floor to be, and luckily with the purchase of the second floor, the system had also given him two extra items.

[Boss Template (Tier 2)]

[Dungeon Entrance Point (Tier 2)]

Hale sank his consciousness into the second floor, as he started to mold the new floor into the shape that he wanted. Ignoring the dead alligators and dark elves, he had successfully defended the dungeon, they would soon be resurrected.

It would be better if he spent his focus, on the new floor.

...

Somewhere outside of the dungeon.

2MuchVodka was in a meeting with two other players.

Legionarie the guild master of the Legion of Ruin and Heavenly Night the guild master of Twinkling Night. He had called this meeting with them because of a new proposal that he had.

"Let's unite and conquer this dungeon together," 2MuchVodka declared in a deep, commanding voice.

His words, however, were met with scornful laughter from Legionarie, who sneered, "Hahaha! Let me guess, you failed the raid and now you're crawling to us for help."

Heavenly Night who was the only female out of the three, didn't say anything but it was clear that she agreed with Legionarie.

Ignoring him, 2MuchVodka. Simply sent a video to the other two.

As they watched the video, their face couldn't help but grow more serious.

"Is this real?" Legionarie questioned 2MuchVodka.

"Yes. If we don't unite. I hate to say it but, your guilds will follow in the same step as us." 2MuchVodka calmly replied.

"Fine. All three of the major guilds will team up to conquer this dungeon! Now, how will we split the profit?"

Legionarie's question hung in the air, causing an awkward silence to fall over the group. After a moment, the tension broke, and the three continued to haggle and negotiate, each trying to secure the best deal. Eventually, they reached a favorable agreement, where rewards would be distributed based on the level of contribution each of them made.

"I look forward to working with you all." 2MuchVodka let out a toothy grin, as he shook hands with the other two. As he swiftly disconnected from the room.
