Brewing Storm (2)

Captain Helena moved in too fast and too furious. Had she taken her time to observe closely, she would have noticed the trap laid for her.

"Got you!" 

The cloaked figure turned around at that moment, the only visible part being their lips that extended into a vicious grin. With a simple hand seal, the figure cast an explosive spell he had at the ready. 

'Shit!' Captain Helena cursed, swiftly conjuring her defence spell. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't fast enough and took the brunt of the explosion.

BOOM…!!!

"Ah…!" The captain was blown away, sent flying off the roof and into solid ground. "Ugh!"

The woman winced through gritted teeth, her vision becoming blurry. As she attempted to get up, another groan escaped her bloody lips. 

Blood leaked from the cuts on her head, arms and mid-section. The captain took heavy damage. She had gone in sword blazing, but was a little too impatient and came out bathed in blood.
