CHAPTER 4; MUYAN'S EXPULSION.

"Jake what are you talking about", Jimmy said bewildered, "You can't accuse us of stealing Ms Karen's phone when you're fully aware we're not thieves".

Astonished, Ms Karen called the security to bring Muyan to her because she was sure he was still roaming around the school's premises since he had other classes after hers. Few minutes later they returned with him but he had no clue on what was going on.

"Muyan give me your bag", she said to him.

Muyan, having no idea on what was happening handed over his bag to her innocently. She collected the bag and turned out all his belongings on the table and boom Ms Karen's phone fell out.

The class became noisy and was filled with murmurs from different angles as they were surprised that Muyan could steal Ms Karen's phone

" I've always known he was poor and disgusting but I never knew he was also a shameless thief", said a girl.

"He stole Ms Karen's phone and made her angry so she could send him out "

"Poor disgusting thief "

" It's a shame Jimmy was his accomplice in this heinous act"

"I hope they get severely punished for stealing, such a shame" , came all the insults from the crowd.

At this point Muyan already sensed he was in a big trouble as someone had taken Ms Karen's phone and dropped it it in his bag thereby framing him as a thief. He began to cry and then he stared at Jimmy who was also in tears. The duo had been framed and now they've been charged with stealing which was a very big offense in the institution. Now Ms Karen had already called the security to get Jimmy and Muyan and hand them over to the disciplinary committee to face their punishment and the class got cancelled for the day.

On their way, Jimmy asked Muyan in tears on their way to the disciplinary committee.

" Muyan are you responsible for this?"

" Jimmy, what will I gain from causing you pain", Muyan responded amidst tears.

Jimmy felt sorry for ever thinking his friend could take what does not belong to him and lie. He felt more sorry for Muyan as he knew he had been going through a lot of challenges in the school.

Back in the class, everyone began to cheer Jake for exposing the thieves. Ms Karen then thanked him for exposing them too and also allowing her get her phone back.

"Oh my God there's so much documents saved there and honestly I have no idea on how I'll retrieve them if I had lost them, I'm genuinely grateful", she thanked him earnestly and called off the class for that day and left.

While everyone was discussing in groups what had happened. Jake quietly left the class unnoticed and went to meet OT at the cafeteria.

" So how did it go", OT asked.

" Perfect, everything worked out according to the plan and they're both on their way to receive punishments from the disciplinary committee", Jake responded.

Apparently, OT had conspired with Jake to frame Muyan and Jimmy. At the time Jake was pretending to be annoyed with Muyan for not helping him doing his assignment and when Jimmy began to defend Muyan, Jake became angry at the both of them and went to the cafeteria where he met OT, Dora and a few of OT's friends and vented out to them. They then hitched a plan on how to deal with Muyan as OT had already been looking for an opportunity to deal with Muyan and that seemed like the perfect opportunity. So he went back to the class to finish their plan.

"Jake, how did you do it", OT asked.

"Oh well, I made it look like I was furious at him for not doing my assignment I said he should do although I never told him to. At the time the argument was getting heated, I acted like I was walking away then I met Ms Karen by the door side, she asked what was going on, told her I had no idea so she dropped her stuff on her table and went to see for herself. She left and was trying to make her way into the crowd that was when I quietly took her phone out of her bag making sure no one was watching me, made my way back into the crowd towards Muyan's bag and while Jimmy turned away to push away the people that had gathered around them I quickly dropped Ms Karen's phone into Muyan's bag", Jake responded.

OT and his friends were amused by this amazing trick Jake did and how it worked perfectly for them.

"Jake you're a genius", said one of OT's friend

"Thank you", he replied.

"Now let me see how that dumb boy is going to escape this", OT said.

Just while they were talking, they noticed students had gathered in large numbers at the front of the Library so they went out to check out what was happening.

At the front of the library, the students had convened in large numbers because they had been instructed by the disciplinary committee to do so. The head of the disciplinary committee, Mr Charles, came to address them, with Muyan and Jimmy standing beside him ,

"Good afternoon all"

"Good afternoon sir", they chorused then he continued,

"It has come to our notice that these students here have engaged in stealing, which is a serious violation of our institution's rules and values. We want to emphasize that stealing is not acceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. It is important to respect others' property and trust. We encourage those involved to take responsibility for their actions, apologize, and make amends. However, due to the seriousness of this offense, we regret to inform you that the punishment for stealing is expulsion from our institution, effective immediately. We hope that this incident will serve as a learning experience, and we encourage all students to grow into individuals with integrity and empathy. Remember, your character is shaped by your choices. Choose honesty, kindness, and respect. Thank you."

Hearing this Muyan and Jimmy broke down crying and begging Mr Charles but he walked away, some students began to feel sorry for them wishing Mr Charles gave them a lighter punishment while others applauded Mr Charles for his decision because stealing was a very serious offense in the institution. Part of the people that applauded Mr Charles was OT, Dora and OT's friends. Jake began to feel sorry for his friends knowing that they were innocent and OT had paid him to set them up but he couldn't do anything as the deed had already been done. The students began to leave and go back to their various classes meanwhile, a few of Ara's friends who had witnessed what had happened went to look for her and break the news to her because she wasn't present at the gathering.
