He turned to see emily still asleep on the couch across from him. He sighed. He would figure this all out later, but for now…

"I need to go," Leon whispered, moving quietly so as not to wake her.

He dressed quickly and packed his things, giving Emily one last look. This whole situation, as strange and unbelievable.

Standing in the hallway, he took a deep breath. It was time to start making sense of this mess.

"Alright, System. What exactly is going on?" he muttered, as the holographic interface flickered into existence once more. The cold, distant voice responded immediately, cutting through his racing thoughts.

[Welcome, Inheritor of the Kingdom-Building System. Please proceed with your next steps in constructing your kingdom.]

Leon clenched his fists, a rising sense of frustration coiling in his gut. "What do you mean? Mind explaining how the hell I'm supposed to build a kingdom here??"

[Not here in this world. Remember the area you selected—Greenlands. That area is in the world of Tres Lands, a medieval world.]

Leon blinked in surprise. He frowned.

"Wait, so... this is all in some medieval world? This is where I'm supposed to build the damn kingdom?" Leon's mind struggled to process the implications. He felt a pull in his chest, the realization taking hold.

"Great," Leon muttered bitterly to himself, running a hand through his hair. "Some medieval world… I'm really doing this, huh?"
