The Uncomfortable Table

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Yueul was the first to rush out, followed by the rest of the crowd. Swallowing nervously, he hurried to catch up to Wooheon, who was already walking ahead. Tugging on Wooheon’s sleeve, he spoke up.

“Um, Mr. Kang.”

“Yes.”

“About my slow walking....”

“...?”

“I’ll work on it, but... Could you maybe scold me when we’re alone, not in front of everyone?”

Despite his trembling, Yueul managed to speak his mind. None of Wooheon’s previous partners had ever asked him not to be scolded in front of others. Wooheon smirked slightly, bending down to meet Yueul’s gaze.

“Did that embarrass you?”

“It’s not that, but....”

“Then what’s the problem? Should I pull you aside every time I need to reprimand you? You said you’d be willing to accept criticism.”

Yueul flinched under Wooheon’s piercing gaze, his heart racing. He was so frightened that his body trembled, and once again, his ears popped out.
