The Rain

Careful and unnoticed, looking around, Jayden shoved his hands deep into his pockets as he approached him, his voice low and tense. “What are you doing here? You can’t just spy on me everywhere I go.” He hissed, frustration evident on his face.

Hawkbone smirked, his sharp features illuminated by the dim sunlight filtering through the clouds. “I wasn’t spying,” he said coolly, stepping closer.

"Well yeah?" Jayden stepped back, "Cause from the angle I look at it, it pretty much feels spying to me!" He shrugged, he looked across his shoulders to make sure he was alone.

"I just came here to make sure you don't forget about your deadline, but now that I see it, you forgot, haven't you?” Hawkbone said, his voice smooth and taunting as he rested both hands atop his ornate staff, the deep carvings in the wood almost pulsating under his grip.
