“And how hard was it for you to break through them?” Aiden challenged.
“Not too hard… It only took me a few tries.” I admitted.
"Exactly," Aiden replied, his voice laced with a hint of concern. "If someone as inexperienced as you could break through, imagine what Lucien could do."
I pondered his words. "Those doors were pretty damaged. It seems someone has been there before."
Aiden shrugged. "He probably made it harder than it seemed. You're stronger now, more capable."
I stared at him, unconvinced. "I doubt it."
Aiden smiled, his expression reassuring. "So, what do you want to do? I know you're not tired."
"Tell me about our past lives," I suggested, curious about the countless lifetimes we'd shared.
Aiden hesitated, a flicker of apprehension in his eyes. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice filled with uncertainty.
"Yes, please," I insisted. "It'll help pass the time."
Aiden sighed, resigned. "Alright," he said, settling down beside me.
