Aiden's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're not going out there. Have you already forgotten what happened last night?"
My blood began to boil. "I don't remember asking for your permission," I snapped, my voice filled with anger.
A tense silence fell over the room. Calix shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his lips pursed. He seemed to be debating whether to speak or not. Finally, he broke the silence. "Well... what did you have in mind?"
Aiden glared at Calix, his expression a mix of frustration and disbelief.
"What?" Calix retorted defensively. "At least hear her out before you shut her down."
"I need to work on my endurance if I'm ever going to use my abilities to their full potential," I muttered, annoyance creeping into my voice.
Aiden sighed, his patience wearing thin. "Fine. But I'm always with you," he grumbled.
I nodded, taking the small victory. "So, where do we need to go?" I asked Calix.
