*Aiden’s POV*
I couldn't say for sure when Ember and Ezra had slipped away, but I was thoroughly engrossed in the thrill of sparring. While Calix was a worthy opponent, his moves had become predictable over time. The chance to face new challengers, each with their own unique style, was invigorating. I had spent hours out on the training grounds, relishing the challenge of each encounter. It wasn't until Ezra's sudden appearance, alone and seemingly burdened, that I realized I was weary.
"Where's Ember?" I asked, a flicker of concern igniting within me. He'd promised to keep her company.
"Easton has arrived," Ezra explained. "I'm giving them some space to talk about his soulmate. I expect she'll bring him to see her."
I nodded, attempting to mask my unease. "Alright, then I guess I'll go meet them there."
"Actually, I wanted to talk to you," he said, his tone serious.
"About?" I replied, my curiosity piqued.
"That dagger you've been keeping close," he stated.
