Chapter 51

LISA POV

"Karliah, please just calm down and let me explain that I wasn't cheating on you."

She cocked an amused brow at me.

"Really? Then kindly fill me in on what I've missed because that's the outfit you wore at the bar. The least you could have done is tell me the truth."

"Look, Karliah, I met her at the club when I was pissed with the world and everyone in it. Yes, I liked her, but I don't have feelings for her."

She crossed her arms over her chest.

"That definitely sounds like a different story because when I talked to her on the phone, she seemed kind of excited. She must really like you. Maybe the two of you can go on a second date."

"Karliah, for once stop acting childish and just hear me out. I was drunk, and I barely knew what I was doing, okay?"

"She doesn't mean anything to me."

"It doesn't look that way in the pictures she sent you, and why is she even addressing you with the nickname I gave you?"

I groaned in frustration.
