Chozen's words sent a chill down Zal's spine.
He swallowed hard, trying to keep his voice steady.
"I-I'm sure she'll be there soon," he said weakly. "She can handle herself."
Chozen chuckled darkly, his eyes never leaving Zal's face.
"Oh, I have no doubt about that," he said.
"But sometimes... sometimes it's more fun to watch from afar."
"Isabella has fooled my son and my son who dislike when happen to like this woman. Isabella truly made a great plan."
"Sir since she is on the 99th floor we don't have to worry about bumping into her, she didn't fuss to much," Zal said in a a gentle manner. Chozen nodded his head he knew that Isabella Willow was from Pairs and he has only meant her twice and those two times well one his son ended liking her so much and now this woman asked his son to tell him to marry him.
Chozen leaned back in his chair and let out a weary sigh.
"Zal," he said quietly.
"You've been with me for a long time now, haven't you?"
"Yes sir."
Chozen looked at Zal for a moment before speaking again.
"Then I trust your judgment," he said quietly.
"Do you think Isabella is dangerous?"
"No I don't believe she is dangerous, she seems like the type of person who likes to stay out of trouble," Zal said kindly.
Chozen nodded slowly, mulling over Zal's words.
"I see," he said quietly.
"She doesn't seem like the type who would cause trouble."
He was silent for a moment, lost in thought.
"But something about her..." He trailed off, shaking his head.
"I'm sorry sir I couldn't quite catch what you said." Zal asked.
Chozen looked up at Zal, his expression thoughtful.
"It's nothing," he said quietly.
"Just something about Isabella that doesn't quite sit right with me."
He leaned back in his chair and ran a hand through his hair, looking tired. She is interesting but she says she isn't trying to seduce him then why does his son like him so much?
Chozen shook his head, his eyes distant as he seemed lost in thought.
"No," he said quietly. "That will be all for now."
Zal nodded silently and turned to leave the room. As he reached the door, Chozen spoke again.
"Zal," he called out quietly.
"Yes."
Chozen looked up at Zal, his expression serious.
"Keep an eye on her," he said quietly.
"I want to know what she does and who she interacts with. I want to know everything."
"Yes sir oh saw she is also a mother," Zal said it's the first time Lord Chozen has been interested in a woman.
Chozen's eyebrows raised slightly at Zal's words.
"A mother, you say?" he said quietly.
"How many children does she have?"
"Three."
Chozen's eyebrows raised even higher. Three children.
He leaned back in his chair and looked out the window for a moment before speaking again.
"Three children, hmm," he said quietly.
"And who is the father?"
"They don't have a father his not in the picture at all."
Chozen's eyes narrowed slightly.
"No father," he said quietly.
"Interesting."
He leaned forward in his chair again and steepled his fingers together, deep in thought.
Zal stood there quietly, waiting for Chozen to say something else.
But the room was silent except for the sound of traffic outside.
Finally, after a few moments, Chozen spoke again.
"Do me another favor," he said quietly.
Zal nodded silently, waiting for Chozen to continue.
Chozen leaned forward in his chair, his eyes fixed on Zal's face.
"I want you to look into her past," he said quietly.
"Find out everything you can about her life before she came here. I want to know who she is, where she came from, and what brought her here."
"Lord Chozen why are you so…." Zal stopped talking.
Chozen raised an eyebrow at Zal's hesitation.
"Why am I so what?" he asked quietly, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Interested in this woman? She might be another gold digger."
Chozen chuckled darkly.
"Oh, I've met plenty of gold diggers in my time," he said quietly. "But there's something about her that piques my interest."
He leaned back in his chair and looked out the window again.
"Maybe it's her mystery," he said quietly.
"Or maybe it's something else entirely."
Zal nodded silently, understanding Chozen's interest in the woman.
"Very well sir," he said quietly.
"I'll do some digging and see what I can find."
He turned to leave the room again, but paused at the door.
"And sir?"
"What," Chozen asked coldly he moved his ring around which was his great grandfather ring. Chozen is favored by the elders and his strength alone is fearsome.
Zal swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Chozen's cold gaze on him.
"Just be careful," he said quietly.
"She may seem harmless but she could have secrets we don't know about."
Zal watched as Chozen chuckled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.
"I'll be careful," he said quietly.
"I won't let her get the best of me."
He turned and left the room, closing the door quietly behind him.
Zal went to gather information about Isabella
Zal spent the next few days gathering information about Isabella.
He searched public records, social media accounts, and any other sources he could find.
But despite his best efforts, there wasn't much to go on.
Isabella seemed to have appeared out of nowhere a few years ago with no real past or history to speak of.
It felt so strange it didn't show much about where she give birth of who are friends. They few photos of her on her count even that she doesn't tag anyone.
Zal frowned as he looked through the photos on Isabella's account.
They were all posed shots of her in various locations, but there was never anyone else in the pictures with her. And none of them had any tags or location information attached.
It was almost as if she was purposefully trying to keep a low profile and avoid any connections with others.
Zal leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples.
The lack of information was frustrating. It was like trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing.
But he wasn't ready to give up yet.
He decided to try a different approach.
Zal spent the next few days trying to gather information through more subtle means.
He spoke with people who knew her, asking questions about her past and background without making it seem like he was digging too deep.
But everyone he spoke to gave him the same vague answers. No one seemed willing or able to provide any real details about Isabella's life before she came here.
But Zal did find out that Isabella was once the daughter of the House of Frost.
Zal's eyes widened as he heard this.
The House of Frost was a powerful and influential family in the area. If Isabella was truly their daughter, it would explain why she had so many secrets.
But if that was true, then why wasn't she living with her family? Why did she seem to have no connection to them at all?
Zal also found another information she was kicked of the Frost Family six to seven years ago.
Zal's frown deepened as he read this information.
So she had been kicked out of her family years ago. But why? What could have happened that would cause them to disown their own daughter?
Zal made a mental note of this and continued searching for more information.
As Zal continued to dig deeper, he discovered more and more information about Isabella's past.
He found out that she had been engaged to a man named Zane Williams before being kicked out of her family. But the engagement had ended abruptly, and no one seemed to know why.
He also discovered that she had given birth to three children six years ago, but there was no record of who their father was.
Other then that there was no more information about Isabella.
Zal sat back in his chair, feeling frustrated.
It was as if Isabella had vanished into thin air after being kicked out of her family.
He knew there was more to her story than what he had found so far, but he didn't know where else to look.
He sighed and closed his laptop, feeling like he had hit a dead end.
Zal was about to give up and call it a day when he remembered something.
He opened his laptop again and searched for any news articles or social media mentions of Zane Williams, Isabella's ex-fiance.
Zal knew that the Williams Family was a powerful one. And if Zane was engaged to Isabella, it meant they had ties with House of Frost.
He wondered what had happened between them. Was there some sort of falling out? Or did Zane do something terrible?
Zal searched for any information he could find on their relationship and why it ended so suddenly.
Zal found several articles and social media mentions of Zane Williams.
He was described as a charming and ambitious young man who had come from a wealthy family. He was known for being good-looking and popular among women.
But there was no mention of Isabella anywhere. It was as if their relationship had been erased from existence.
