Chapter 60 {Sign It}

Isabella was unaware of her kids plan but she walked inside the hospital and she walked straight toward the desk. The hospital was bustling with activity, doctors and nurses rushing to and fro as they cared for their patients.

Isabella approached the desk where a harried-looking receptionist sat, typing away at her computer.

The receptionist looked up as Isabella approached, her expression weary but polite.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"I am here to see a patient name Shelly Black," Isabella said her voice cool and calm.

The receptionist's eyes flicked down to her computer screen.

"Let me check," she said, typing something into the computer. After a moment, she looked up at Isabella.

"Ah yes, Ms. Black," she said.

"She's in room 307 on the third floor."

"Thank you," Isabella said, her voice betraying no emotion.

She turned and walked towards the elevators, her steps purposeful and measured.

Isabella black hair was braided to the side she frowned slightly. As she leaned against the elevator wall she took out her Lexeni phone and saw a text from the nanny she is there. She felt like her kids were up to no good but she didn't have time to deal with them.

The elevator ride was quick and soon the doors slid open, revealing the third floor hallway.

Isabella stepped out of the elevator and made her way down the hall towards room 307. As she walked, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off with her kids but she pushed those thoughts aside for now.

She reached room 307 and paused for a moment before knocking gently on the door.

"Come in," came a a deep voice from inside the room.

Isabella took a deep breath and pushed open the door.

"Dad, Emily, Lucy, Ella, Lillian, and grandpa oh goodie you guys are too much and my brother isn't even here?" Isabella snapped said but she wasn't shocked stepped forward and sat down on the bed.

"Auntie Shelly," Isabella said her voice was so sweet she only used this to her three children's.

Shelly smiled warmly at Isabella, despite her tiredness.

"Hey, Isa. How are you?"

"I am fine."

"You been gone for so many years."

"I had to," Isabella said, her voice soft. "You know that."

Shelly nodded understandingly.

"I know," she said quietly.

There was a moment of silence as Shelly studied Isabella's face, noting the faint lines around her eyes and the weariness in her expression.

"You are so beautiful Isa."

Isabella chuckled softly, a hint of sadness in her eyes.

"You always know how to flatter me."

Shelly reached out and took Isabella's hand in hers, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"You're more than just beautiful," she said quietly.

"You're strong too."

"Isabella look at you! Are you trying to seduce someone with what you are wearing?" Richard snapped at Isabella who became emotionless.

Isabella's expression hardened as she looked at Richard.

"This is what I wear," she said coldly.

"And it's none of your business."

She turned her back on him she smiled sweetly at her aunt ignore her other family member.

Shelly could sense the tension in the air and she gave Isabella's hand a reassuring squeeze.

Richard huffed angrily and turned away, mumbling something under his breath. The rest of the family members shifted uncomfortably in their seats, clearly uncomfortable with the tension between Isabella and Richard.

"Isabella, our aunt needs to be healed and Emily can help us is a doctor," Ella said she was wearing a short dress and she wore a fancy purse.

Isabella looked at her sister, confusion and surprise written on her face.

"Emily is a doctor? Did she steal someone medical certificate?" Isabella said coldly and she took a deep why care about this family.

"Of course not look at these papers you sign them I can ask my teacher Silas Banks to do surgery on auntie," Emily said as she held the paper out.

She glanced down at Ella's outfit, taking in the short dress and fancy purse.

Isabella's eyes narrowed as she looked at Emily, her expression hardening.

"You're asking me to sign papers so your teacher can operate on my aunt?" she asked incredulously.

"Why should I trust you? For all I know, these papers are fake."

Emily glared at Isabella.

"Isabella do you want our auntie to die! Sign the damn papers for MEH."

"You want me to sign the papers that my mother left me? Is that why you corner me here I won't sign them."

"This operation for auntie isn't easy and Dr. Banks is someone who can do it, or even Dr. Smith, Dr. Banks have connections with Dr. Smith all I telling you is sign it and we can all be happy."

Isabella took the paper and burn them within her flames.

"Isabella!"

Emily gasped in shock as the papers went up in flames. She lunged forward to try and grab them but it was too late.

The rest of the family members gasped in shock at Isabella's actions.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Emily snapped angrily.

Isabella stood her ground, unfazed by Emily's anger.

"You think I'm going to let you use my aunt for your own gain?" she said coldly.

"I'm not signing anything until I know what's really going on here."

"Isabella don't be fucking selfish!" Rose and Richard shouted.

"Selfish?" Isabella repeated, her voice rising in anger.

"I'm not being selfish by wanting to protect my aunt. I'm not going to let any of you take advantage of her for your own gain."

She turned on Richard and Rose, her eyes blazing.

"And don't talk to me like that."

Isabella's chuckle only seemed to anger Joel further.

"Don't laugh at me, you brat!" he snapped. "You have no idea what the Miracle Worker is capable of!"

Emily placed a hand on his arm, trying to calm him down.

"I'm sure we can convince her," she said in a placating tone.

"The Miracle Worker?" Isabella repeated, a scoff in her voice.

She turned to look at Joel with a smirk on her face.

"And where might I find this so-called 'Miracle Worker'?"

Joel looked slightly taken aback by Isabella's reaction. He exchanged a glance with Emily before speaking.

"That information is highly confidential," he said slowly.

"But I can assure you that this person is the best in their field."

"Just speak the truth you are unable to get the legendary Mircale Worker are you," Isabella said to Joel and Emily these two idiots don't know she is the Mircale Worker.

Joel and Emily exchanged a glance, their faces betraying their discomfort. It was clear that they were hiding something.

"We have our ways," Joel said defensively, but there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"Whatever I am living," Isabella said she grabbed her small backpack.

Joel and Emily exchanged a look, their expressions wary.

"You're leaving?" Emily asked, her voice betraying a hint of concern.

Isabella didn't answer, simply slinging her backpack over her shoulder and heading towards the door.

Chozen who was on the third floor eyes landed on a woman Isabella he frowned and he sighed. This woman will do anything to seduce him it's too funny.

"Zal find out what is going on in room 307," Chozen said as he watched the woman walk away.

Zal, who was standing nearby, nodded silently. He quickly made his way towards room 307, keeping a low profile.

Meanwhile Isabella continued walking down the hallway, her mind racing. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off with her family and their insistence on getting those papers signed.

Isabella pulled out her Lexeni phone and she started to make some phones. Isabella called her assistant Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith answered the phone after a few rings.

"Dr. Smith speaking," he said, his voice crisp and professional.

"It's me," Isabella said.

Dr. Smith's expression softened upon hearing Isabella's voice.

"Ah, Isabella," he said warmly.

"What can I do for you?"

"As you know why I am calling you as always," Isabella said she stopped at the elevator and pushed a button

Dr. Smith chuckled softly, knowing exactly what Isabella was calling about.

"Ah yes," he said.

"You need information on someone, I presume?"

"Tsk you are annoying you are my assistant."

Dr. Smith chuckled again, clearly amused by Isabella's comment.

"Apologies," he said with a hint of humor in his voice.

"I do enjoy teasing you, my dear."

"Tsk alright stop being an idiot I need you to fly back from Australia to Los Angeles there will be an operation," Isabella said coldly this time she was much more serious.

Dr. Smith's expression grew serious as he heard the change in Isabella's tone.

"An operation, you say?" he said, his voice professional now.

"When and who is the patient?"
