Chapter 67 {Cold Hearted}

"All we know is she said this to Dr. Greenwood I am in a bad mood so I will do it on Wednesday make sure you control your people," Zal said.

Chozen's expression darkened as he listened to Zal's words.

"Because she was in the bad mood that's funny but she is a famous neurosurgeon," Seraphine said with a gentle laugh.

Chozen grunted, still feeling frustrated by the situation.

"Yeah, I know she's a famous neurosurgeon," he said.

"But that doesn't give her the right to change our plans just because she's in a bad mood."

He ran a hand through his hair, trying to calm himself down.

"Huh did you guys forget? She doesn't work for us and this Mircale Worker works alone," Damien said with a gentle nod.

Chozen's eyes widened slightly as Damien reminded him of the Miracle Worker's independent nature.

"You're right," he said quietly, a hint of resignation in his voice.

He took another deep breath and leaned back in his chair.

"I just don't like having our plans changed at the last minute."

The room fell silent again, the siblings all realizing their mistake.

Felix looked around at his uncles, aunt, and dad his eyes wide with surprise.

"She doesn't work for us?" he asked quietly.

Chozen shook his head, a grim expression on his face.

"No," he said quietly.

"The Miracle Worker is an independent contractor. She works alone and only takes cases that interest her."

He clenched his fists, still feeling frustrated by the fact that they had to rely on someone outside of their control.

Seraphine and Damien exchanged worried glances, sensing Chozen's frustration.

Dominic shifted uncomfortably in his seat again, clearly anxious about the situation.

Felix looked up at his father with wide eyes. "But... won't she help us? Save Great grandma," he asked quietly.

Chozen's expression softened as he looked down at Felix. He could see the worry in his son's eyes and it broke his heart.

He let out a sigh before replying.

"I don't know," he said quietly.

"Your Great Grandma is very sick right now."

Seraphine bit her lip nervously while Damien clenched his fists tightly, both of them knowing how much their grandmother meant to all of them.

The sound of the rain hitting the balcony floor created a soothing rhythm, like nature's own lullaby.

Isabella took another sip of her drink, enjoying the peaceful moment with her kids. They were laughing and playing together, completely oblivious to the stress that their mother was feeling.

She smiled softly at them before taking another sip from her glass.

Suddenly, the sound of a car pulling up outside interrupted the peaceful moment.

Isabella's eyes widened in surprise as she heard the familiar sound. She recognized it immediately - it was Chozen's car.

She set her glass down on the table and stood up, walking to the edge of balcony and peering over. That guy has been in and out of the hotel he is also the asshole who kicked her out of the vip hotel room.

She saw him getting out of the car and looking up at the building. His eyes met hers and he gave her a cold stare. Isabella also gave him a indifferent look.

There cold and indifferent looks seemed to linger. It felt like eternity before of them looked away from each other. At this moment Isabella sat back down ignore everything else her mind became calm.

Isabella, who had been sitting in her chair quietly, felt the weight of the tension in the air. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to push away all thoughts and emotions that were distracting her.

"Lord Chozen, Miss. Willow is cold hearted last week she didn't visit her aunt at all it's like she is waiting for her to die," Zal said with a hissing sound.

Chozen's expression darkened even further at Zal's words.

"Isabella has always been cold-hearted," he said quietly, his voice laced with disdain.

"But not visiting her aunt is low even for her."

Zal nodded in agreement, his expression just as cold.

"She's heartless," he said quietly.

"I don't understand how she can be so uncaring towards her own family."

Chozen clenched his jaw, the anger and frustration building up inside of him.

Isabella who was unaware that everyone thought she was cold hearted Isabella didn't care what people thought about her she took a sip of her hot coco.

"Mommy, you will be doing an operation in two days are you well rested?" Raven asked quietly.

Isabella smiled softly at her daughter, appreciating his concern for her.

"Don't worry about me," she said gently.

"I'm well-rested and ready for the operation."

She took another sip of her hot coco, savoring the warmth as it spread through her body.

The little girl's eyes widened at her mother's words, a mixture of worry and relief on her face.

"You promise you'll be okay?" she asked quietly, clutching onto the edge of Isabella's shirt.

Isabella smiled reassuringly at her daughter, stroking her cheek gently.

"My children I am okay," Isabella said sweetly Chloe, Raven, and Atticus sighed they didn't bother to push there mother she is after all the Mircale Worker."

The triplets looked up at their mother with a mixture of relief and concern.

Chloe, the eldest of the triplets, let out a small sigh before speaking up.

"Are you sure?" she asked gently.

Raven nodded in agreement while Atticus just watched silently from behind his siblings.

"I am fine I will sleep for two days," Isabella said.

The triplets exchanged glances, their expressions still filled with worry.

Chloe bit her lip nervously before speaking up again. "But...what if something goes wrong?"

Raven and Atticus nodded in agreement, clearly worried for their mother's safety as well.

"I have slept for a whole month you guys know that I might not have a special abilities but I love my sleep after all I have a nickname as a sleeping goddess."

"We know mommy you love sleeping."

"Okay mommy sleep well!" Raven, Chloe, and Atticus said with a smile on there face. Isabella walked to her room she crawled up in bed and went to sleep.

The triplets watched as their mother walked to her room and closed the door behind her.

Chloe, Raven, and Atticus all exchanged glances again before quietly making there way back to the living room.

"She is going to be okay right?" Chloe asked quietly, a hint of worry in her voice.

Raven nods.

"Yeah, Momma always comes back to us after her operations. Plus about our plan?"

"Oh yes to get mommy and our maybe birth dad to fall in love," Chloe said with a gentle laugh.

Atticus, who had been quietly listening to there conversation up until now spoke up. "Are you guys sure this is going to work?"

Chloe shrugged her shoulders and let out a small sigh.

"It's worth a shot," she said softly.

Raven nodded in agreement before adding on.

"Yeah…momma deserves to be happy."

Chloe decided she wanted to see idiot Tommy Raven and Atticus also decided to follow this time. Chloe who walked up the stairs she looked straight ahead

"Alright idiot Tommy is my gaming buddy," Chloe said as she waved her finger.
