Axel opens the door of the cage and steps inside, holding out a hand to me. I don't want to touch him, especially because both of us are in our human skin, and being so near to him only reminds me of the last time we were together without clothes between us. I avert my eyes and shake my head.

"Luna, come on," he says. "I just bargained to set you free. You can't mean to stay here."

He's right, but I'm not happy about it. He sees my hesitation and steps back, giving me a good amount of space so I can step out of the cage without touching him.
