Chapter 266 — Kawasaki… Morning Sickness?!

Hikigaya and Yukinoshita arrived at the school building's shoe locker area.

They each changed into their indoor shoes.

At that moment, Yukinoshita's mind was completely occupied with what Hikigaya had just said.

She was thrilled.

Her boyfriend was so infatuated with her body that even though she was already on her period, he still wanted to… do that with her.

Her thoughts began to drift into more indecent territory.

Gradually, a bold idea began to take root in Yukinoshita's heart.

Come to think of it—

This afternoon, the two of them happened to have gym class together.

Maybe they could… enjoy themselves a little?

"Hikigaya-kun, this afternoon's gym class, we could…"

Just as Yukinoshita opened her mouth to speak, her expression suddenly changed. Her legs tensed, and her body began to tremble.

Alarmed, Hikigaya quickly reached out to support his girlfriend. "What's wrong?!"

"Hhhsss…"

Drawing in a sharp breath, Yukinoshita spoke through gritted teeth:

"It hurts a little… This is bad, I-I think it's happening again… N-Not good, I might…"

And then—

Her face turned pale.

"Uh… you're wearing a pad, right?" Hikigaya asked hesitantly.

"Of course I am! Otherwise, I'd be in trouble already," Yukinoshita said, blushing furiously.

Hikigaya's face also turned red with embarrassment.

Periods didn't end in a day or two—they could last anywhere from three to even seven days or more.

"You should head to the restroom, quickly."

"I know that, but…" Yukinoshita's face flushed a deeper shade. Her pale thighs clamped together tightly as she stood there, looking like she wished the ground would swallow her whole.

"I'll carry you."

Things were urgent. Hikigaya made the call.

"Huh? You'll carry me? T-That's way too embarrassing!" Yukinoshita protested, flustered.

"There aren't many people around this early. Don't worry."

"Eh? Wai—"

Before she could finish, Hikigaya had already scooped her up in his arms and took off at a brisk pace toward the bathrooms.

Realizing there was no turning back now, Yukinoshita buried her face shyly against Hikigaya's chest.

"So—So fast…"

Hikigaya was running quickly. After all, he had been working out lately and was in far better shape than before.

However—

Being fast had its downsides too.

Because he was running so fast, Yukinoshita was jostling heavily in his arms. Her scalp tingled, and she was on the verge of tears. The shaking was too much—her body couldn't take it!

A few moments later—

Hikigaya finally brought Yukinoshita to the public restroom.

"We're here. Go in quickly. I'll take your bag to your classroom," he said, picking up her schoolbag.

"Hikigaya-kun, I… Ugh, you… you idiot, I'm about to explode!" Yukinoshita snapped at him, blushing furiously and glaring with a mix of embarrassment and irritation.

"Eh?"

Hikigaya scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"What did I do wrong?"

"You… You were too fast," Yukinoshita huffed. "Who runs like that?"

"I figured if I ran faster, no one would get a good look at us," he explained.

"You… ugh! Whatever, I don't even want to argue with you anymore. Just wait, one day I'll show you my speed!" she grumbled under her breath. Then she snatched her bag back from him, fished out a pack of sanitary pads, and shoved the bag into his arms.

"I'm going in. Head back yourself."

With that, and under Hikigaya's concerned gaze, Yukinoshita staggered into the girls' restroom.

Once fully inside, her legs gave out. She had to brace herself against the wall to avoid collapsing entirely.

"Damn period… This is a mess…"

Just moments ago, she'd been fantasizing about doing something intimate with her boyfriend. Now, even the idea of cuddling seemed painfully out of reach.

"Does this mean for the next week, I'll have to rely on them to take care of Hikigaya's needs? Ugh… my poor Hikigaya-kun… my poor Hikigaya-kun…"

As she slowly entered a stall and sat down on the toilet, a new, more painful realization hit her.

"Come to think of it, I asked Kato-san to help today, didn't I… Sigh…"

Today—

She had planned to somehow get Kato to kiss Hikigaya!

And now, in her current state… sigh. Being Hikigaya-kun's woman was just too hard sometimes.

While Yukinoshita was in the restroom, bitterly holding herself together, Hikigaya stood just outside—only to run into two familiar girls.

Kasumigaoka was helping Kawasaki to the sinks near the restroom entrance. When she noticed Hikigaya standing by the door, she blinked in surprise. "Air-kun? What are you doing here?"

Hikigaya quickly explained Yukinoshita's situation, then glanced instinctively toward Kawasaki, who was pale and clutching her abdomen.

"Kawasaki, are you okay?" he asked, concerned.

"I… I…" Kawasaki's face flushed beet red as she stammered, breathless.

"Oh, her? Hehe, probably morning sickness," Kasumigaoka said with a teasing smile.

"???"

Hikigaya froze, stunned.

Kawasaki's expression changed dramatically. "D-Don't say that! I-I didn't… Ugh!"

The next second—

Her face twisted, and she rushed to the sink to vomit.

Watching her retch, Hikigaya broke into a cold sweat. "Didn't we… use protection?"

"Just because you used protection doesn't mean you can't get pregnant," Kasumigaoka said, rolling her eyes. "What if Kawasaki has a super fertile body? Even with protection, it could still happen."

"N-No way…"

Kawasaki, still vomiting, managed to croak out a protest.

"In any case, to be sure, she should take a pregnancy test, right, Air-kun~?" Kasumigaoka smiled calmly at him.

"A pregnancy test…?"

Hikigaya stared at the queasy Kawasaki in horror.

"How are we supposed to check if she's pregnant? Go to the hospital?"

If she was pregnant… how was he ever going to explain this to Yukinoshita?

Kasumigaoka shook her head. "Going to the hospital is too much trouble. It's actually really easy to find out if a girl's pregnant—you just need to buy a pregnancy test."

"Buy a pregnancy test…?"

"And you should probably buy a few more while you're at it. I have a feeling I might be pregnant too," Kasumigaoka said sweetly, causing Hikigaya's face to contort in utter embarrassment.
