Chapter 27: Part 2

- Silas -

Rimuru and the others returned after a few hours.

They looked excited or exhausted but everyone had a happy look on their faces… well except Fafnir who was looking down with Kazuma actually trying to cheer him up with games.

"What happened to him?" I asked.

"He lost in the cosplay competition." Kazuma answered. "The judges were scared by his costu… form and didn't give him high scores."

"Oh. Then what about Rimuru and Ainz?" I asked, surprised at the sudden turn of events.

"Ainz-san won the first prize and Rimuru-san won the third prize."

"Heh! Who won the second prize then?" I personally thought Rimuru's costume was quite good.

"Lucoa-san. She didn't even participate and won the second prize." He added.

"Cause of… those?" I asked.

"Cause of those." Kazuma nodded.

No more words were needed.

I could guess everything else myself.

Fafnir however drowned himself in more video games to forget his sorrows while the rest were still in the mood and were watching the videos of the Comiket.

I was about to ask them more but Ainz and Rimuru suddenly dragged me away to one of the private rooms.

"There is a problem." Rimuru said as Ainz closed the door.

"What problem?" I asked, feeling tired. I have had enough problems for one day already.

"We met Sara in the Comiket."

"…huh?"

On seeing my confusion, Rimuru explained everything that happened on his side after I left. The girl who looked like Sara and how she tried to hypnotize them and asked around for Sara.

"Is that why you told me to directly go back to the Restaurant and not go back there? I told you guys I didn't want to do that." I complained.

"We never told you to accidentally impersonate anyone either."

"So, what now?"

"Don't worry. We pretended to be hypnotised and denied everything. No one else knew about Sara. We even went ahead and deleted all videos of the Comiket so no one could track her to us. We just need to stay low for a while. If things escalate, I will use something to solve the whole situation." Ainz said reassuringly.

It was only after that that I let out a sigh of relief. On Ainz's urging, we left the private room acting normal and sat down with others.

"By the way, how was your day with Milim?" Rimuru asked as he sat down with us.

"It was awesome. We ate crepes, ice creams and cotton candies, played games and Silas fought an annoying woman and then we returned home." Milim replied cheerfully.

"Oh, that sounds amazing… hold on, what was that about Silas fighting?"

"There was this woman who attacked us out of nowhere and I was about to punch her but Silas came in and completely destroyed her in a moment. She was so weak ahahahaha."

I didn't even bother to sigh and just slumped more into my seat. I had somehow committed identity theft and murder on the same day… just what was my life turning into. The Supernatural World was dangerous. No, the whole world was dangerous.

My theory of me being cursed somewhere was becoming stronger once more.

On Rimuru's urge, I explained the situation to him as he sat down beside me.

"Wow, sounds like you all had quite an adventure alright." Rimuru patted me on my back.

"Looks like a lot of things happened today. Still, look at the bright side of things." Ainz said, making us look at him.

"What bright side?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

He brought out a stack of papers and kept it on the table in front of me.

I checked it out and it turned out to be the sales report for today.

"Seriously, this much?" I asked, looking up in surprise.

"The show yesterday attracted many people and after reading our sample manga, they attracted even more today. Then there was your show today. We got plenty of publicity and our products were good too."

"Shows? Did they really attract that much attention?"

"Yup. We even had two talent agencies call in to ask about you. What about it? Wanna try?"

"Nope. I have had enough of singing around already. I am fine cooking in this Restaurant." I denied.

"Too bad. We could have had you sing the tracks for the anime we release in future. But that still has time so let's leave it for then."

As we were talking, Lavinia returned to the Restaurant with Brandish, looking quite worried.

She sent the little girl away and directly came to me.

"Did something happen?" I asked, frowning at her unusually serious look.

Lavy being serious was rare… very rare.

In fact, I had only seen her like this once or twice but even that was not like now.

"Sil-kun, did you have a fight with someone today?"

"Huh?"

"Did you fight someone today and freeze her?" She asked again.

"I… yes. She attacked us even when I tried to calm her down. I was forced to defend but she just kept on escalating and I finally killed her when she tried to throw a tsunami at us. Why? And hold on a minute? How did you know that was me? I was wearing a mask and a disguise. And did you know who that woman was?" I asked.

"That woman… she was the descendant of Leviathan, one of the four kings of the devil race, Katerea Leviathan."

"What?!" Rimuru, Ainz and I exclaimed at the same time.

Lavy then went on to tell us that the leader of the Fallen Angels had questioned her about it and no one really knew my identity yet.

At least that was a relief.

She too advised me to stay low for a while as everyone was searching for a Mysterious Ice Devil now and that they wouldn't make any big moves as the Japanese Supernatural community was very angry with the devils due to the Mysterious Lucifer incident and now this one and were keeping them out as much as possible until things calmed down.

What's with everyone in this world's supernatural world searching for mysterious devils all the time?

Lavy went to get changed and I was left with Rimuru and Ainz.

"Seriously, what's with your luck? You go out for a few hours and fight the relative of a demon lord and even kill her."

"How was I supposed to know she was someone like that? You should have seen her. That chick was bat shit crazy, probably had some kind of PTSD or something. She was even thinking I was some kind of imaginary longtime enemy of hers. And what the hell… weren't demon lords and bigshots supposed to be strong, you know… like Milim? Why was that woman so weak? I seriously thought she was some kind of supernatural kidnapper."

Ainz patted my shoulder. "Well, you were in a disguise so they don't know who you are yet. Just keep low for a while."

I nodded, not knowing what to do.

"Well, look at the bright side of things." Rimuru said cheerfully, making us look at him. "The day is almost over so… it can't get any worse."

"Sil-kun!" Almost immediately after Rimuru said that, Lavy shouted.

We rushed to see what was happening to see Lavy looking at the video of Sara singing and Lavy pointing at her. "Where did you meet her?"

"Her? You mean… Sara?" I asked, hesitantly. Did she know her? "Do you know her?"

"She is Serafall Leviathan, one of the four rulers of the Devil race."

…fuck.

Rimuru you fucking jinx.

A week had passed since that horrible day.

I hadn't stepped one foot outside the Restaurant.

There were some rumours about the Mysterious Ice Devil but we didn't have more information yet.

It really looked like we had somehow escaped the whole thing… until five days ago when someone, a devil, came asking for more information about me at the Crossroads Publications.

Although we had been able to send them away, giving them my previous address and contact details, citing the same thing that I was also a temporary singer performing for their band and then pretending that no one knew where I had come from either, it was a huge warning sign for us.

Did they really catch up to us so soon?

This caused Ainz to immediately go out and use a paid item, something called the 'Shooting Star' for a magic called, 'Wish upon a Star' to erase all the information about me on earth.

…yes, on the entire planet.

We were just as stunned when we heard that he had crazy shit like that in his freaking inventory.

To avoid the magic when it was being cast, all my direct subordinates were inside the Restaurant's protection. Due to this, none of the neighbours or the staff hired by the company knew about me either. That finally calmed things down somewhat and gave us some room to breathe. No wonder Ainz said he would take care of everything. Just because of this, I am going to make my revenge a bit lighter for him.

What came after was more problematic though. It turned out that all my written documentation was also gone, every bit of identity about me was gone.

That's when the maids of Nazarick and Cid-kun's friends helped out. They managed to create a perfectly new identity for me all over again within a single day.

"But still, are you sure you didn't touch some stray cursed item misplaced by Fafnir to have such a terrible day? To impersonate a Demon Lord and kill her relative in two consecutive days. That's gotta be some crazy bad luck. Also what's with the Demon Lords and Magical Girl costumes? Is that a fad in this world?" Rimuru asked.

"How would I know that? I used that power for the first time. Hell, I didn't even know I had that kind of power before you guys tricked me."

As for the accidental cursed items, I made a rule to not permit any cursed items in the Restaurant without my permission or I would seize it. In just three days, I seized a dozen from Fafnir alone.

"Mah mah, no need to cry over spilt milk."

As we were discussing this the door to the Restaurant opened and in came some faces I hadn't seen in a long time.

"Zeref-san, Irene-san, August-sensei, welcome back. When did you guys return?" I asked, greeting them.

It was Zeref-san and his group.

"Just now. Could I ask for Touma-kun?" Zeref-san asked, directly after taking a seat.

"Touma-kun? He is out but might return by tomorrow morning for his Martial Arts training. I will ask him for a time when he can meet you. Will that be good?"

"I would be very grateful if you could do that." He said with a bow. Behind him August-sensei bowed as well.

"No need to do this. Anyways, how was your journey?" I asked.

He then went on to tell us where he had gone and for what… and boy, wasn't that a story. To think August-sensei was the son of Zeref-san… and that Zeref-san had no idea about it.

Damn… I felt even more sorry for the man.

As if having a curse like that was not enough. Even his wife contracted that curse and then his son lived his whole life with him and couldn't tell him his identity at the risk of death… all the while the man was searching for family.

"So you want Touma for breaking the curse on your wife?"

"Yes."

"Okay. I will ask him to meet you at the earliest."
