World of Dinosaurs

Kabir and Veer were running away from dinosaurs when it suddenly started raining heavily. The raindrops hit their faces with such intensity that it felt like needles piercing their skin. The dinosaurs were still chasing them. Completely drenched, Kabir and Veer reached the edge of a vast field, where a deep ravine lay ahead. The rain was so dense that they couldn't gauge the depth of the ravine. Meanwhile, the dinosaurs were closing in.

As soon as they reached the edge of the field, a dinosaur appeared before them with its jaws wide open. Without hesitation, Kabir and Veer leapt into the ravine.

The dinosaurs stopped at the edge, watching them fall, and eventually turned back. Below, a deep, flowing river cushioned their fall, and both landed safely.

Kabir and Veer swam to the riverbank and collapsed there, exhausted. Kabir said, "If this river hadn't been here, we'd have been crushed by now." Veer replied, "Even if we hadn't jumped, we'd still have been crushed by those dinosaurs. Jumping was our only option, which is why I grabbed your hand and we leapt."

Around them, there were numerous large and unusual trees and plants. Veer remarked, "The plants here are so different and massive. I've seen thousands of species of plants, but I've never seen anything like these."

Kabir asked, "Really? So, does this world not match what you imagined?" Veer replied, "I imagined a better world, one that matched the demands of what you all wanted." Kabir speculated, "Could this all be due to some glitch in the machine?"

Veer said, "Why are you stressing over this? I didn't think about every tree in detail while imagining a better world. I only focused on a few key points." Kabir responded, "But you said you've never seen plants like these before."

Veer explained, "Some of these trees I do recognize, but there are many that are completely different." Kabir replied, "Alright, your ability to understand nature will help us survive here." The two began walking again.

Veer commented, "In this multiverse, meteorites never hit Earth, so no other species besides dinosaurs got the chance to evolve."

Kabir agreed, "Yes, during the time of dinosaurs, no other species evolved in our universe either, except for a few small mammals. But none of them could compete with dinosaurs."

As they walked cautiously, Kabir's foot got stuck in a small pit. He remarked, "Coming to this multiverse has been nothing but regret. We need to find a way to leave, no matter what it takes. But for that, we need to locate the data backup drive. Without it, we'll be stuck here forever."

Veer added, "But first, we need to find a way to reach higher ground so we can get to the multiverse-traveling machine and retrieve the backup drive." By now, the rain had stopped.

Kabir and Veer left the riverbank and ventured deeper into the forest, hoping to find a path to their machine. Suddenly, they heard someone screaming, and the wind began to blow fiercely.

Looking up, Veer saw some flying dinosaurs passing overhead. To avoid being spotted, Kabir and Veer hid under a tree. Veer whispered, "Kabir, don't you find these dinosaurs strange?"

Kabir asked, "What do you mean?" Veer explained, "These dinosaurs are very different from what we've read about or seen in movies."

He continued, "I think evolution has changed them. With the significant climate changes over the past 66 million years, such transformations are possible."

They continued walking cautiously, aware that any nearby dinosaur could attack. Kabir said, "Surviving alongside dinosaurs is nearly impossible for humans. I'd say it's absolutely impossible. Living on this version of Earth would be absurd for humans."

Kabir added, "But that's the fascinating thing about the multiverse—anything is possible here."

Veer remarked, "But grass existing on a dinosaur-dominated Earth doesn't sit well with me. In our Earth's history, there was no grass during the age of dinosaurs." Kabir suggested, "Maybe the changes in the atmosphere on this Earth made grass possible."

As they moved forward, Veer sensed someone's presence. They looked around but saw no one until a man appeared in front of them. This man was unlike any average human. His head was twice the size of a normal person's, his height was only four feet, and his body was otherwise proportionate with a thick beard.

The man said something in his language, which Kabir and Veer couldn't understand. They were startled but tried to stay calm. Kabir asked, "Who are you?" but the man didn't respond.

The man closed his eyes for 10–15 seconds, and then, to Kabir and Veer's astonishment, he started speaking in their language. The man introduced himself as Dalka.

Kabir asked again, "Who are you, Dalka?"

Dalka explained, "I am a resident of this Earth, and I know you have countless questions about me. But all your questions will be answered if you come with me."

Dalka led Kabir and Veer to his dwelling, which was inside the massive trunk of a tree. He explained, "I've been living here for the past four months, and no dinosaur has discovered this place yet. If they do, they'll tear this tree apart."

Inside the tree, Dalka offered them a strange-smelling liquid to drink. Veer hesitated, saying, "It smells awful." Dalka assured them, "This is the only thing that provides our brains with the energy they need. As you can see, my head is twice the size of yours, but my body is smaller."

Kabir and Veer nodded.

Dalka continued, "Everyone here has a similar body structure. This means our brains consume twice the energy of your bodies, but our small bodies can't consume enough food to support that energy demand. This liquid is the only source of complete energy for our brains."

He added, "Our brains work much faster than yours. If I want to know what you're thinking, I can find out easily. My brain is far superior to yours."

Kabir and Veer listened intently. Dalka concluded, "In this universe, everyone can read each other's minds. That's how I learned your language without your permission."

Dalka said, "I am also a scientist who is researching dinosaurs and their species." Dalka explained, "Before this, there was another person who was my assistant, but a dinosaur killed him."

Veer asked, "How?"
