Chapter 5 How it all began

...2002... A flash back...

Chicago

In the biochemistry study hall, the lecture announced the exchange program between their school and Musical art central school, disgusted and by protesting of the idea made him the first person on the list for the exchange program, it was true, it was useless for the science students going for an exchange program in a music art school, but this was organized by a rich kid's parents and the school found it hard to reject it because the school funds came from that family.

He was sent to the mucial art school for two weeks with other brilliant students, during those two weeks was when he saw her, the lady that played an important role of making his dreams come true, Kate Walker.

Peter Bryce a brilliant elite student found Kate Walker enticing, the two were enchanted with each other, at least that was what Kate thought, Kate being young and not really experienced in love, agreed to everything Peter said and did almost everything for him, they soon hitted things off by setting up their first date and as fast as everything seems, they were in a relationship but that wasn't Peter's main goal...

"But Pete, I'm trying my best to meet to your needs but you ain't satisfied, I can't do what you ask of me" Kate said with frustration from the complains Pete keeps stating, it's been just a few months since their relationship started and Kate has been head over hills in with Pete.

Peter Bryce is a tall guy with a black hair and sea blue eyes, he had a muscular body, a body of a male model if you would say, he had light pink lips, his pencil drawn eyebrows give him an astonishing look. Almost every girl at the musical acting school had wanted to talk to him but he was too cold and was difficult to approach, it was not untill Kate had introduced herself with a lot of courage, Peter wanted to embarrass and suck her away but by the mention of her last name, an idea had come into his mind ....

"Kate, what do you mean by saying you meet to my needs, I told you exactly what I wanted but you denied me" Pete looked uninterested in their conversation, he had no respect for Kate, the girl followed him like a puppy, she did everything but when he suggested she stole the sound isolation champer for him, Kate for the first time said 'no'..

Kate Walker is from a family of scientist,technician, and computer experts, she was short with brown hair and big puffy brown eyes, she was that girl who had an aura of a loving girl and was really good with music and art, her father Mr. Walker after many years was about to launch the sound isolation champer which was going to be used to help people with mental health issues, and here Peter was, asking if she can steal her father's hardwork, he wanted to make it toxic to punish those who go against him, Kate didn't like the way he thought, she has once talked to her mom about it and her mom had adviced her to stay away but she was too in love to do so. "Sorry but I can't, that's my dad's biggest dream, It will ruin him if I betray him like this" Kate said with her eyes pleading for them to end this conversation, as if heavens heard her prayers, Peter asked her the most surprising question "would you have a child for me if I wanted a child" Peter said as his eyes looked like someone in a trance.

"Well yes, as long as we get married" Kate answered with happiness but the next sentence shocked her

"I want to use our child to carry out some experiments, would you still agree??" Peter said with a dead serious face

"Pete, you must be joking, I mean that would be evil" Kate said with horror in her eyes this drew a smile from Peter it wasn't a normal smile...

Peter is an unstable person with a mental issue he wishes to build a machine, a tool that will help people not to feel pain or less pain but after thinking for years he knew he needed a person to dry out his experiment on: before selling them out and that perfect person would be his own child, this will make his child strong enough to take over his empire. The reason being that, as a child Peter was weak, he was bullied, beaten things got bad when his parent died and he was handled over to his aunt who inflicted a lot of pain to Peter, so much pain that the little boy left home and run to an orphanage thinking he might find greener pastures but there wasn't any different except for the fact that food, clothes, and education everything else was pain.

That was why he decided that pain shouldn't be part of human life, and now he wants his children to be cold, strong, brave and most importantly feel no pain and now getting Kate's dad's machine will really help him. In his mind he was trying to make the world a better place or what do you think?

Frustrated because Peter hasn't talked to her for days, she made the worse decision and later a regret she will carry and that was to steal her father's hardwork, she was able to pull this off when the family had gone for a program, after making sure everyone was gone she called a truck and they picked the big box away to Peter's place, Peter knew if the police find the machine at his place he would be in trouble so he made sure to shift the machine to Los Angeles.

That same evening Mr. Walker found out what Kate had done he was disappointed and frustrated he had to disown her for her betrayal Mrs. Walker couldn't take everything in and so her fragile heart failed, this made hated hated by her father more. Not having anywhere else to go she went back to Peter.

Peter accepted her on the condition that she must have his child, which without any option or choice agreed .....

....2003....Los Angeles...

Labour room

There was cries and more cries as the nurse kept encouraging the young woman to push harder and harder,

"Congratulations, it's a girl" the nurse announced as she gave the new born baby to Kate, looking at her daughter with love and hope, she wished if Peter saw the child maybe he will have a change of heart and stop his plans but that was far from it, when Peter, now Dr. Peter found out the child was a girl, wanted Kate to leave the child at the hospital, after begging and convincing, Dr. Peter agreed to accept and look after the female child if she promise to leave when the child is (5) five years of age, Kate thought maybe things would change by then and so agreed.

....

Time flew, and it was time of her daughter's fifth birthday, it was time for her to leave but Kate wanted to try one Last to beg for her to stay

"Peter, I have done so much for you, the least you could do is to let me be with my daughter" Kate said, tears in her eyes.

"Sorry Kate, but you have to leave....or else" Dr. Peter said with a dead serious but dangerous face and without emotion

"Or else what..... Are you going to kill me and my daughter?? Cause I know you won't" Kate shouted in a challenging manner

"No, I won't kill you both, I will do something worse" there was that smile again, she knew that smile, she immediately realized he was planning evil, Kate turned and saw her daughter playing happily and preparing for her birthday, but this devil of a 'boyfriend' wanted her to leave on that same day.

"You wouldn't do that horrible thing....will you...?"

"Try me Kate, try me" she knew Peter never played with his words and hence left but she promised herself to come back for daughter no matter how long it takes.....
