True Life

Twenty-four hours earlier, the students of Lin Ave high school were rushing into school. Some that were wealthy like Leo was drove in, by a classic car of their parents. Everyone loves to stare at him because he was so elegant, handsome and smells really nice.

"You never gonna stop killing everyone by your classic looks." Brad smiled, accompanying Leo on the hallway.

"Look dude, my father is the mayor of this city. So i got the best looks ever made, get that." Leo smiled wryly, been so proud of himself and he walked away from Brad, like he had a stench on him. Later, at some spot some girls were screaming Leo's name, but actually it was his father's name.

"Hey Becky. I see you. Hmm you look beautiful today." Leo blew a kiss at Becky, immediately she became red and hot. Also, blushing that she began fanning herself with her year book.

"Thanks, Jefferson." Becky grinned from ear to ear and the other girls clustered around her, giggling so much.

"Just take a look at him, he is a proud fool." Mira said, staring at Leo's performance.

"Isn't he, a peacock."

"Why?." Mary laughed, she opened her locker and collected her books.

"Sis, i think you love him, that's why you love insulting him."

Mary and Mira are fraternal twins, white and adopted by a Jewish doctor, after his amicable divorce that left him feeling lonely.

"Mary, i don't love animals, he is a peacock." Mira smiled and nodded. Then she closed her locker and walked away. Mary just shook her head in disgust and followed her sister.

Some minutes laters, Brad ran to where Leo, he was opening his locker and began holding his books for him.

" Do you love to be my slave?, i won't pay you." Leo rolled his eyes and took back his books.

"I am not interested in your money but your friendship."

"Yeah, then you poor church rat father, would learn to be a lion." Leo tapped him on his right shoulder and sings off.

The school bell rang and all students went to their respective classes.

"Hello class, today is thursday and we are here to discuss about the wonders of the world on--" Mr Iggie paused and glanced at all students in grade eleven, waiting for the answer.

"Geography!." Chorused all the students.

"Right, we definitely need an excursion to see some of the places we have talked about in our previous class. But am confused on where to go. For the Lord God, made so many beautiful places."

"Hallelujah!." Shouted Frederick with his both hands raised and everyone laughed.

"We should go to Egypt to see the pyramid, that will be cool." Leo suggested.

"Hmm, that's perfect." Mr Iggie said and Leo smiled. But Mira contented by raising her right hand.

"Yes Mira."

"Sir, I will prefer the Taj Mahal in India." Mira smiled, feeling so happy with her suggestion.

"No sir, i will still say Egypt because that place has so much history wrapped in it." Leo frowned his face glaring at Mira.

"He is going to killing you one day, girl." Frederick whispered and chucked, also covering his mouth with his left hand.

"I dare his father." Mira muttered and Fredrick burst into laughter.

"Mr Smith, is everything ok." Mr Iggie asked looking at him.

"Yes sir."

"I think, Mira said "i dare his father." Brad said, he wanted to defend Leo, his high school crush.

"Whose Father?." Leo asked and turned facing Mira.

"Your-" Mira paused as Mary raised her right hand.

"You want to say my father?." Leo asked again.

"Leonard Jefferson, no one is talking about your father. Well i did vote for him and he won."

"Yes, progress!." Leo shouted and the whole class shushed him.

"Well, haters big f to y'all."

"That's enough!." Mr Iggie stamped his right leg on the floor and everyone was quiet.

"Just to pick a place where we can all go and have fun, has turned into a shitty show. I will pick the place then."

"Sir, i want to say something." Mary said and she tapped her desk.

"Ok, Mary."

"I have hodophobia, so i will prefer we don't go to far." Mary said slowly like she was picking her words.

"Because of you, who are you?." Leo scoffed and hissed.

"Ask me one more time, you scum."

"Whoa!." The whole shouted.

"Silent!, Leonard you must learn to be tolerant, scum." Mr Iggie said and every one laughed.

"Excuse me Mr Iggie." Miss Becker came into the class, she smiled staring at Mr Iggie and he dusted his cloth, adjusted his tie.

"Man, you are ok."

"Thanks." Mr Iggie grinned, walked closer to her.

"For this is love--" A student sang and everyone laughed, also banging their desk.

"Well, am here with a new student, he is just joining us today from Bakersfield. Michael Avigas."

With a little expectant rush, Micheal walked in with his both hands in his pocket. He was a tall, brown skin teen on braids and on white t shirt, black pant with golden wristwatch, for his neck wasn't left out it was covered with chains and ears pierced.

"You're welcome Michael Avigas." Mr Iggie smiled at him and gave him an hand shake.

"Thank you sir." Michael Avigas smiled too.

"Ok class, see you tomorrow." Mr Iggie left with Miss Becker happily.

"Hey, Mira." Leo called at Mira, but she was busy reading her book.

"I hate you!."

"Don't care." Mira chuckled and offered a seat for Michael.

"I must say, you are a fine boy."

"Thanks, girl." Michael smiled awkwardly, he felt insulted been discribed as a boy, sat down and Frederick waved at him.

"What?."

"Yes, we meet again." Frederick nodded and smiled at him.

"Do you know him?." Mary questioned eagerly.

"Hmm-hmm."

"He's straight right?."

"What, yes he is straight but a bad boy."

"Bad."

"Hell bad, devil's right hand fellow. Lord have mercy."

"Amen." Mary laughed and batted her eye lashes eating her pen, gazed at Michael and smiled merrily.
