[Name: Yuu Hanezukari]
[Age: 18]
[Chakra: 8000]
[Skills: Teaching, Fire Style: Headache Cutter, Mystical Palm Technique, Wind Style: Pressure Damage, Earth Style: Earth Wall, Eight Gates…]
[Evaluation: You've mastered seven types of chakra nature transformations and excel in Fire and Water Style. If it's a direct clash of techniques, you can easily overpower an average Jonin. All you need is to continue increasing your chakra to ascend to greater heights.]
Compared to the data at the end of last month's exams, his stats have once again seen a massive improvement.
This month, thanks to the training missions, the chakra growth was especially remarkable.
When he first arrived in this world, it was April. Between April and May, his total chakra grew by 1,000 points, rising from 4,300 to 5,300. Including the 500 chakra points from the May exams, it reached 5,800.
From early May to early June, the increase was even more substantial—jumping from 5,800 to 8,000, a total increase of 2,200 points.
There was a time when Yuu envied the 7,000 chakra points of Root Jonin. Yet, in just two months, he not only caught up but surpassed them by 1,000.
However, Yuu was well aware that maintaining this growth rate from June to July would be challenging.
The massive surge was primarily due to Obito's training mission rewards. With no new missions in sight and no exams in June (the finals were scheduled for mid-July), the pace was bound to slow.
Beyond the remarkable chakra boost, Yuu also gained mastery in Water Nature Transformation, Fire Style: Headache Cutter mastery, and proficiency in Yin Chakra Nature Transformation.
These rewards significantly enhanced Yuu's overall strength. After all, having a vast chakra reserve without the skills to use it effectively would be frustrating.
Currently, Yuu was most eager to obtain rewards related to nature transformation mastery.
With mastery over both Water and Fire Nature Transformations, not only did his output potential for those techniques increase, but Yuu also felt that with a few years of effort, he might develop a Bloodline Limit like Boil Release.
If he could master all seven chakra nature transformations, Yuu couldn't help but fantasize about the possibilities. Crafting Truth-Seeking Orbs with his bare hands?
On second thought, that might still be out of reach. Mastery wasn't the highest level, and reaching such a pinnacle would likely require an even greater level of expertise. Still, with mastery over multiple natures, creating various Bloodline Limits seemed achievable.
"Obito, Kakashi, you both tied for first place. That's amazing!" Rin Nohara beamed at her friends, congratulating them.
Both were her close companions, so seeing them share the top spot was the best outcome.
"Hehe, it's all thanks to your cheers, Rin," Obito said bashfully, his face turning red with excitement at his earlier fantasy becoming reality.
Though in his mind, it would've been even better if Kakashi's name hadn't been mentioned.
"Tied for first place, so it's a draw, huh?" Might Guy muttered thoughtfully.
Up to this point, every sparring match between him and Kakashi had ended in defeat.
Seeing Obito manage to match Kakashi in a competition sparked something in Guy. He wanted to challenge Kakashi again.
"Kakashi! To celebrate your first-place win, let's have a sparring match!" Guy enthusiastically proposed.
"I refuse. Who celebrates like that? This kind of competition doesn't even need celebrating," Kakashi replied, declining Guy's request while casually taking a jab at Obito.
Obito immediately bristled, ready to engage Kakashi in a verbal battle. But when he saw Yuu and Asuma approaching, he reluctantly held back.
"Obito, did you secretly hide your abilities during previous exams? How did you suddenly get so strong?" Asuma joked, playfully slapping Obito's shoulder.
"No way! It's all thanks to you, Asuma. You're my inspiration," Obito replied earnestly.
Back when he struggled with water-walking, Asuma's example (shared by Yuu) had been his motivation to persevere.
"Haha, I should be learning from you instead! That Fire Style technique was flawless," Asuma laughed, throwing an arm around Obito's shoulder.
"Yuu-sensei!" Rin greeted Yuu cheerfully as he and Asuma approached.
"Good work," Yuu said with a smile of encouragement, keeping his words brief before quickly departing with Asuma.
Yuu had already advised his disciples to keep their teacher-student relationship under wraps when others were around and to act like any other student and teacher.
He hadn't explained why, leaving them to draw their own conclusions. Regardless, Yuu believed minimizing contact in public was for the best. At this stage, Obito wasn't exactly the most reliable.
Before leaving, Yuu used his assessment ability on Kakashi.
[Name: Kakashi Hatake]
[Chakra: 2500]
[Potential: S]
[Evaluation: Best suited for Lightning and Earth Style techniques. Recommended for recruitment as a disciple.]
Seeing Kakashi's stats, Yuu felt a twinge of temptation.
Having 2,500 chakra points at eight years old was extraordinary.
Yuu had assessed many of the academy's Chunin instructors, most of whom ranged between 1,500 to 2,500 points. In other words, eight-year-old Kakashi already surpassed many of them in chakra reserves.
If Yuu were to take him as a disciple and build trust, the benefits in chakra gains would undoubtedly be substantial.
Still, Yuu quickly dismissed the idea. Kakashi wasn't as easy to win over as Obito. Plus, as a Chunin himself, why would Kakashi choose to train under another Chunin?
"Even Kakashi only has S potential. Does that mean without Six Paths' bloodline, the maximum potential is just S?" Yuu pondered.
Having evaluated countless individuals, he had noticed that potential wasn't synonymous with talent. Otherwise, why would individuals like Obito and Guy, despite their shared S potential, lag so far behind Kakashi during their academy years?
Yuu theorized that potential represented a person's ultimate possibilities rather than their innate gifts.
Bloodline clans, particularly those tied to the Sage of Six Paths, tended to have higher potential. Among the Hyuga and Uchiha, for instance, Yuu had yet to encounter anyone with less than A potential.
And yet, not every member of these clans became elite Jonin. For example, even the two "gatekeepers" with only B- potential managed to reach the rank of Special Jonin in the original story.
After leaving the academy grounds, Yuu and Asuma went their separate ways. Meanwhile, Obito and his friends decided to celebrate with ramen.
Obito, brimming with the confidence of his first-place win, generously offered to pay for everyone's meal.
Still, even over bowls of steaming ramen, Obito and Kakashi couldn't resist bickering.
"Have you ever been top of the class?" Kakashi asked coolly.
"Until you maintain first place in your grade like I did before graduating, don't bother arguing with me about who's better," he added.
Obito couldn't respond—he'd never been top of his grade, not even top of his class.
Guy's eating slowed as Kakashi's comment hit him too. After all, he hadn't been top of his grade either.
Meanwhile, as Yuu continued training Asuma elsewhere, his system displayed a new notification.
