Chapter 99: The Differences in Breathing Effects

Unable to hold it in, Ebisu went straight to find Kotetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki.

"Big Brother Ebisu!" Seeing him, Kotetsu and Izumo enthusiastically greeted him.

Though they appeared very respectful, Ebisu barely managed to suppress his anger and asked,

"Did you two spread false rumors about me?"

Kotetsu shook his head and said, "How could we? Big Brother Ebisu, you've been our guide. We'd never do anything to harm you."

"Exactly! Big Brother Ebisu, perhaps someone else misled you," Izumo analyzed thoughtfully.

"Then why are all three groups now spreading rumors that I was the one who led the development of your new Decoy Technique? Care to explain that?" Ebisu asked, his face dark.

"We never said such a thing," the two shook their heads earnestly.

All they did was mention that Ebisu had contributed significantly.

"Forget the unpleasant topics. Big Brother Ebisu, I've got something good to show you." Kotetsu motioned for Ebisu to come closer and pulled out a novel.

"This book has been instrumental in perfecting our Decoy Technique. I think you can also learn a lot from it, Big Brother Ebisu."

Skeptical, Ebisu opened the book and skimmed through a few pages before quickly shutting it and looking around nervously.

"Ahem, this book is indeed valuable. I'll help you safeguard it for now," Ebisu decided, temporarily forgiving his two subordinates.

"By the way, come find me during the lunch break. I'll check how your jutsu practice is going." He added before leaving.

As soon as Obito entered the training field, he eagerly sought out Rin Nohara.

"Rin, do you want a teacher?"

"Hmm?" Rin looked at Obito with a puzzled expression.

"I mean, do you want to train under Sensei Muyue?" Obito pulled Rin aside and asked.

"Aren't we already training under Muyue-sensei during the day?" Rin asked, even more confused.

Obito scratched his head, feeling he had made his point clear enough.

"I'm not talking about regular training sessions but additional guidance from Muyue-sensei after hours," Obito explained.

"So, you're asking if I want to become Muyue-sensei's disciple?" Rin clarified, summarizing Obito's meaning.

Seeing that Rin finally understood, Obito nodded in satisfaction.

"Sensei Muyue is amazing. If he teaches you, you'll improve quickly!" Obito encouraged her.

Since Muyue had forbidden his disciples from openly mentioning their official relationship, Obito avoided directly saying that his rapid improvement in recent months was thanks to becoming Muyue's disciple.

Rin already knew Muyue was an exceptional teacher, as he often substituted for their class. However, Rin's intuition told her that Muyue's "amazingness" might go beyond mere teaching.

With Obito suddenly bringing this up, combined with his remarkable growth over the past few months, Rin began to suspect that Obito's transformation might be due to becoming Muyue's disciple.

"If you're interested, come with me tonight after dinner. I'll take you to meet him," Obito said.

"Wouldn't that trouble you and Muyue-sensei?" Rin asked hesitantly.

"Not at all, not at all!" Obito reassured her eagerly.

He had already discussed it with Muyue—if Rin agreed, everything would proceed smoothly.

In the end, Rin nodded and agreed.

Having a good teacher sounded beneficial. Rin already had a favorable impression of Muyue, and with Obito so strongly recommending him, her curiosity about Muyue only deepened.

What kind of teaching could bring about such a significant change in Obito within a few months?

During class, Rin occasionally glanced at Muyue. Observing him, she noted his clear complexion but couldn't discern anything else unusual.

Muyue noticed Rin's gaze, smiled warmly, and continued his lecture.

[System Notification]

Completed a large-class lecture.

Evaluation: A

Reward: Dynamic Leaf Adamantine Hurricane, Chakra Scalpel

The rewards were decent. The first was a taijutsu move from the Leaf Hurricane series, loved by Might Guy. The second was an advanced medical ninjutsu, also useful in combat.

After class, Muyue returned to the main district to have dinner before heading to the Southern Forest to oversee his disciples' training.

This time, there was an additional disciple—Rin Nohara.

When Rin arrived, she saw Shisui and Might Guy training, and her heart filled with surprise.

Rin hadn't expected Shisui to also be Muyue's disciple, which made her even more curious about Muyue.

When Muyue arrived, all four disciples greeted him in unison,

"Sensei Muyue!"

"Good evening, everyone," Muyue responded with a gentle smile.

Though Muyue and Rin hadn't directly communicated before, their interaction through Obito was enough to establish trust. Everything went smoothly, and Rin became Muyue's disciple without any hitches.

"Your chakra control is quite good. Would you like to try learning medical ninjutsu?" Muyue asked.

He recalled that Rin had a natural talent for medical ninjutsu, mastering the advanced Mystical Palm Technique at just twelve years old.

"Medical ninjutsu…" Rin thought for a moment, her eyes gradually lighting up before she nodded.

She felt it was an excellent choice. After all, renowned medical ninja like Tsunade were admired by many, herself included.

"Let's start with basic healing techniques," Muyue said.

Healing ninjutsu wasn't limited to advanced techniques like the Mystical Palm; there were simpler techniques like Basic Healing and Blood Stopping.

Since this was Rin's first exposure to medical ninjutsu, Muyue didn't dive straight into practical training but instead began with theoretical explanations.

Later that night, after the disciples left, Muyue remained in the Southern Forest to practice his breathing techniques.

At the Intermediate level, simply sleeping could strengthen his body, but additional practice enhanced the effects further.

Muyue was now well-acquainted with the strengths and weaknesses of the two breathing techniques he had mastered. Normally, he used Stone Breathing for its superior body-strengthening effects. Flame Breathing was more suited for battle, especially when combined with Fire Release techniques.

He was drafting a plan for his disciples' breathing technique training. Once completed, all his disciples—except Rin—would begin practicing.

Neither breathing technique was compatible with Rin's abilities, making it unlikely for her to learn them.

To address concerns, this stage of the story is for development. The current focus is on progression, with an emphasis on time-skipping through rapid updates.

Rest assured, conflicts and drama will come. The protagonist is currently avoiding them due to his lack of strength, but they're inevitable in the future.
