A Fight on Three fronts

The air inside the chamber was suffocating, so heavy with the energy of the Abyss that it seemed to resonate with its malevolent presence. Ryu gripped Voidfang all the tighter as its glow receded, the Abyss seeming determined to snuff out even this flicker of its own light. His heart drummed away, but he did not break.

For a moment, the towering figure at the center of the chamber was motionless, its shadowy form indistinct except for two piercing eyes that burned like twin embers. The energy surrounding it surged, causing the floor to quake and cracks to form in the walls.

Kaelith raised her staff, its light flickering under the weight of the oppressive energy. "This is no ordinary guardian," she said, her voice tinged with awe and fear. "It's the embodiment of the Nexus itself—a manifestation of the Abyss."

Draven took a step forward, his blade raised. "Good. That means we take it down, and this nightmare is over."
