Leah's POV
Sago sighed, snapping his fingers like something had just happened against Gerald and I. And I wouldn't deny the feeling of that. He turned backward to face the supposed spot I had come out from.
"I told Gerald," he said. "I told him things he was supposed to avoid, and told him things that have high value and importance to him, but maybe things might have their own way."
He went downwards, kneeling on the floor covered with snow. His tall figure made his sitting on the floor seem weird.
"What is it you told Gerald?" I asked.
"Lots of things that also involve you." He was rubbing his palms against his knee, looking up at me, probably reading through me, or using his mage's instinct on me.
That wouldn't have bothered me, the energy he gave off was far more calmer than Logan's, and it just happened that even though I had just met him, something made me believe I was safe being around him.
