In the small space, with only an air mattress, Alaric's presence filled the remaining area, leaving Emerald with no room to escape.

"You're hurt. Let's just forget about tonight," Emerald protested, trying to find a way out.

Alaric's friends were nearby, and Emerald worried someone might return at any moment. Besides, even if Iris was temporarily away, she didn't want to explain this later.

Alaric smirked mischievously. His bare torso, wrapped in bandages, combined rugged strength with a hint of vulnerability, his scars only adding to his rough appearance.

Gently, he stroked her face, his hand warm against her skin, and his voice was lazy and soft. "Forget it? Ha..."

Leaning closer, he whispered in her ear with a teasing smile, "Didn't you just tease me a moment ago?"

Just then, Emerald heard Iris's voice in the distance, "Ember, are you there?"
