Tanin woke up to the soft rays of sunlight streaming through the curtains, bathing her room in a warm glow. She blinked, her surroundings unfamiliar for a moment, before realizing she was back home in her bed. A wave of confusion swept over her—how had she gotten here? The last thing she remembered was being in Damian's office.
Sitting up, she noticed a small sticky note on the bedside table. Picking it up, she read Damian's familiar handwriting:
Good morning, my love. I brought you home last night after cleaning up the office. You were so tired, I couldn't bear to wake you. When you're ready, I'll be waiting for you at the company. Don't rush—take care of yourself first.
