Chapter 34
The streets were eerily quiet as the young Omega walked hurriedly, her hood drawn low over her face to shield herself from prying eyes. She knew better than to be out this late, but her meager paycheck forced her to take whatever shifts she could at the diner. Tonight had been particularly grueling, and all she wanted was to get home to the tiny room she rented on the outskirts of the city.
She didn't notice the black van trailing her at a distance, its headlights off to avoid detection. Inside the vehicle, three men sat in tense silence, their eyes locked on the small figure moving briskly down the dimly lit sidewalk.
"She's the one," the driver muttered, his tone cold and detached.
"Are you sure?" the man in the passenger seat asked.
"Positive. Omegas like her don't get a second look in this city. No one will miss her," the driver replied.
