Chapter 36

Tanin paced her office, her thoughts a tangled web of concern and uncertainty. The anonymous call about missing Omegas still haunted her. She wanted to tell Damian but held back. She didn't want to alarm him prematurely, not until she had more concrete information. For now, this needed to stay under the radar.

She picked up her phone and dialed Leila's number. The line rang twice before Leila answered, her voice calm but alert.

"High Luna, how may I assist you?"

"Leila, I need you to come to my office immediately," Tanin said, her tone firm.

"On my way," Leila replied without hesitation.

Tanin returned to her desk and sat, trying to compose herself. By the time Leila arrived, she had her thoughts organized.

Leila stepped in, her usual poise evident. "You called, High Luna?"

Tanin nodded. "Yes. I need you to do something for me, and it must remain confidential. No one can know about this—not even Damian, for now."
