Chapter 56

Chapter 56.

Lyra carefully folded the last of Tanin's clothes into the suitcase, zipping it up with a satisfied nod. "Alright, Luna, we're all set to go," she said cheerfully.

Tanin smiled, though she still felt a little weak. "Finally! I can't wait to get home." She glanced at Damian, who stood by the hospital door with his arms crossed, eyes scanning the room as if it were a battlefield. His protective instincts were on full display.

"You'll take it easy once we're home," Damian said sternly, stepping forward to offer his hand. "No more work talk, no more stress. Just rest."

Tanin sighed but took his hand, leaning on him as he helped her stand. "Yes, my overprotective Lycan," she teased.

Antara and Lyra gathered her belongings, the weight barely an issue for them. Lyra balanced a stack of neatly packed bags, while Antara carried the rest with ease.
