Su Nuannuan didn't know why, but suddenly, she really didn't want to detoxify this guy.
She had just been crying her heart out, devastated beyond words, as if her lungs and heart were about to burst from sorrow.
The next second, this bastard, as if nothing had happened, not only secretly rescued her and Zhuzi but was now bouncing around, urging her nonstop to detoxify him...
"Big sis!"
"Who are you calling big sis?", Su Nuannuan glared at Jiang Kai, "If you don't untie me, how am I supposed to detoxify you?"
Jiang Kai suddenly remembered that Su Nuannuan's hands and feet were still tied. He quickly cut the ropes with Chasing Nine Tribulation.
Only then was Su Nuannuan able to free her hands. After examining Jiang Kai's wound, she took out a pink medicine and sprinkled the pink powder onto the wound.
"Much better…", Jiang Kai let out a long sigh of relief.
"This is an antidote I specially formulated for neuroparalytic venom. It will take effect quickly. I also disinfected the wound for you," Su Nuannuan said as she bandaged Jiang Kai's wound.
While treating his leg, she noticed two bloody scratches on his back.
"Your back…"
"Got slashed by that judo master…", Jiang Kai gritted his teeth, "I'll deal with him later!"
Zhuzi jumped to Jiang Kai's side, "Kai, let's get out of here while they haven't noticed us! If more teams show up, we're dead for sure!"
Su Nuannuan agreed, "They'll figure out that's just your substitute soon. You don't have much strength left. You can't beat them all!"
Jiang Kai rolled his eyes at Zhuzi. He wanted to roast him but, seeing his injuries, he held back, "I'll hold them off. You two run back to the login gate. I'll catch up soon."
"You can still fight?", Zhuzi looked at him in disbelief.
No matter how strong Jiang Kai was, he was still just a Second-Tier fighter. His stamina and energy had limits.
"Not now, but in a bit, I will be," Jiang Kai spoke casually as he cut Zhuzi free, "Zhuzi, take Nuannuan and run. Leave the rest to me!"
"Rest for a moment. When they notice you, that's when you run!"
The enemies were still furiously attacking Jiang Kai's substitute. The clone was now a bloodied mess, covered in countless wounds.
At that moment, a swordsman glanced back—and instantly froze.
He saw Zhuzi and Su Nuannuan, sitting beside… Jiang Kai!?
He looked back at the "Jiang Kai" in front of them, his face full of confusion.
But he wasn't dumb. He immediately realized the truth.
A clone skill!
"Stop attacking! We've been tricked! He's over there!", The swordsman shouted, drawing everyone's attention. They all turned around.
Jiang Kai immediately stood up and said to Zhuzi and Su Nuannuan, "Run!"
"Kai!", Su Nuannuan looked at him, worried.
"Go!", Jiang Kai shoved them, "Trust me! If you don't run now, we're all dead!"
Zhuzi grabbed Su Nuannuan's hand, and the two of them sprinted toward the login gate.
"Don't let them escape!", The swordsman charged forward, "Don't be afraid! This guy is exhausted! Kill him!"
Seeing the mob rush at him, Jiang Kai sneered and growled, "Clone, return!"
The bloodied, broken clone on the ground suddenly turned into a wisp of smoke and vanished.
At the same time, Jiang Kai felt his stamina and energy surge back to full.
The numbness in his leg vanished. His condition was almost as good as when he had first entered the public zone—aside from some lingering injuries.
"So this clone's recovery effect is even better than Rapid Regeneration, huh?", Jiang Kai mused.
As the enemy entered his attack range, his Quenched Chasing Nine Tribulation was already flying.
The werewolf assassin at the front deflected two throwing knives but failed to block the third.
Immediately, his body was engulfed in a thin layer of fire.
By now, everyone knew—this fire, though weak at first, would soon turn into an inferno, burning its victim to ashes within seconds.
"No! H-he can still use that skill? Impossible!"
As expected, before the assassin could react, the flames on his body erupted a hundredfold.
In seconds, he became a running fireball.
After a few more steps, he turned to ash.
Seeing this, the rest of the group hesitated.
They stared in horror at the Huaxia man before them.
His combat strength—had returned?
Zhuzi and Su Nuannuan were still within sight, but this man stood before them like an unmovable mountain.
Jiang Kai smirked coldly, "You were all so eager to kill me earlier. What happened? Lost your nerve?"
A white man glared at him, "There's no way you're a Second-Tier fighter! No Second-Tier could be this powerful!"
Jiang Kai's eyes swept over him, his smirk widening, "So… you're scared?"
The man instinctively stepped back.
"Thought so… But I never planned to let you live. Today, all of you must die!"
Just then, a loud, deep voice boomed behind them.
"Scared? Hahaha! That's hilarious! You think you're worth fearing?"
Jiang Kai narrowed his eyes, looking past the crowd.
The remaining twenty or so fighters suddenly looked relieved. They parted to make way.
Three figures emerged.
In the center was a white man, covered in thick body hair, his muscles bulging. He was nearly as tall as Zhuzi and wore a crazed, confident grin.
To his left was a slender man, around 1.75 meters tall, with a katana at his waist.
To his right was a woman in silver chainmail and a black cloak. Her hood concealed her face, and she elegantly placed one hand on her hip. Beneath her short chainmail skirt, her long, pale legs stood out strikingly.
Seeing these three, Jiang Kai's smirk disappeared.
He spoke their names, his voice low and serious, "Hochman. Onoda Juro. Christina."
Hochman strode forward, looking down at Jiang Kai. Then, turning to the others, he sneered, "With all this commotion, I thought an army had invaded. I even pulled reinforcements from other teleportation zones."
"But turns out, you all got slaughtered… by this weakling?"
He let out a cold chuckle, "Useless trash."
Hochman looked back at Jiang Kai, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Too bad for you. Your friends won't escape. Other teams are blocking them. They're doomed!"
"As for you… heh… We barbarians love fighting strong opponents. The stronger the foe, the stronger we become.
"And you… are making me very excited!"
Onoda Juro took a step forward, his tone indifferent, "Hochman, don't hog him. He's mine."
Hochman snorted, "Juro, we're only temporary allies. When the Battle for Supremacy starts, you'll be my prey too!"
"Don't overestimate yourself. If you get in my way, I'll kill you as well!"
Juro turned his gaze slightly toward Hochman, "You think I fear you? I said he's mine. If anyone touches him, they'll answer to my blade."
At that moment, Christina spoke up, "Even if we're temporary allies, respect the agreement. If this drags on, other nations might use the opportunity to attack. Can you two take responsibility for that?"
Her words made both Hochman and Juro hesitate.
As they debated who would claim this prey, the prey himself spoke up.
"Stop arguing. Since you three are so close, why not come at me together?", Jiang Kai smirked coldly.
"That way, at least you'll have company on the road to hell."
