Chapter 121: Butcher's Shop & Back Home.

[14th Everdusk 2103], DC-23 City, Dyna Crest country, CGA Branch, Beast Grove Fields.

After leaving the Fields, Evan reached the place where he enters the field and saw many hunters walking around from stall to stall.

Typically, the stalls have butchers who deal with the corpses of hunters, while the guilds have their own exclusive butchers who handle the bodies for them at no cost.

The regular butchers charge money for their services, while being in a guild offers some advantages for the hunters. This is why most hunters join the guild to receive these benefits.

Evan was moving toward an area where the Association's logo was printed flags, located near the dungeon exit where people pay their deposits every day.

"Hello sir, is there anything you need here?" asked the person who appeared to be an official member.

"Yes, I am here to exit the dungeon and wish to pay my charges for today," Evan replied, and the person nodded and signaled for him to follow.

Evan and the officer walked a short distance before the officer signaled him to empty out his inventory.

"Sir, please eject all the items you have here so we can verify that you are not hiding any corpses. Let me also check for any spatial storage," he said. Evan was surprised and hesitated, knowing that if he ejected all his items, his two items, the Physique Vial and the Egg, would also come out, and the officer might start asking questions.

"Sir, can I just take out my monster's corpse manually? I have a fragile item in my inventory that could break if ejected," he told the officer, who was checking his body for any storage space.

"Sir, if that's the case, you can take out the fragile item manually and then eject everything else," the officer said. Evan no longer had any reason to hesitate.

After taking a deep breath, he ejected all his items and closed his eyes, waiting to hear the sound of the vial landing, but nothing happened as the counting began.

"Sir, you've hunted seven boars and one stag, quite good for a first solo hunt?" the officer told Evan as he opened his eyes and looked at the ground to find his seven boars and one stag neatly arranged by the officer. His weapons & armor were put aside, he started looking around fiercely for his vial and egg. He was about to ask the officer about them when his eyes landed on his inventory, where he found them still lying there.

'Huh, why didn't they eject out like the others?' Evan thought, not understanding the situation but feeling assured that his things were safe.

"Ahmm~~! Is your item safe which you're talking about? I didn't see it among the things," the officer asked him, and Evan nodded rapidly.

"Yes, it's fine. You may continue," Evan told them, and the officer nodded and started noting the items on his board.

"Okay, sir, so if you're going to pay with the bodies, we will have to take one and a half of the boar bodies or the one stag body as payment for the hunt. But you, being a solo hunter, have a little extra privilege over other hunters, in which you can just pay with one boar or the body of stag, with some items returned to you from it," the officer told him. Evan nodded and started thinking about what to, but his answer was clear.

"Sir, I wish to pay the payment with one boar, and for everything else, can I take it back to sell or butcher it for myself?" Evan told them, and the officer nodded, setting aside one boar and letting Evan take the rest for himself.

"So now you're free to go," the officer told him as he started walking away, but Evan stopped him.

"Sir, can you tell me a butcher shop to sell my hunted monsters and even get some meat out of them?" Evan asked, and the officer started to think and then told him.

"Yes, just go this way and..."

"Okay, thanks, sir," Evan said as he started walking away from the association tent.

After passing by many stalls and guild areas, he reached the place where he was supposed to be, as he found the shop of a butcher where many hunters were selling their hunted prey.

"Hello sir, welcome to our shop, The Deepdelve Butchery, welcomes you," one of the workers there said as he led Evan toward one of the booths to talk.

"Yes, sir, so tell me what do you want to buy or sell here?" he asked as Evan nodded and took out all of the monster bodies beside the bench.

"Sir, I wish to sell them and also want to buy some meat from the same type of boar like I hunted here," Evan told them as the worker nodded and started inspecting the bodies.

"Hmm, okay sir, there are 7 boars and 1 stag here, right? So, we can give you about 35,000 CP per boar and 42,000 CP for the stag. The price for the stag and boar is low as the efficiency and amount of wounds here reduce their price. Are you alright with this or do you wish not to sell here?" he asked as Evan thought about it and, after looking around seeing many hunters using this shop as a medium, just nodded to sell here. {A/N: CP = Ceruleth Points}

"Okay, I will sell them to you at this rate but I also for some meat of the boar," he told them as the worker nodded and started checking the things.

"Sir, I can't provide the meat from your hunt, but we have some prepared meat sell. So, wait here and I will bring it. Can you tell me how much you need right now."

"Well, roughly I need enough for one person, so just give me about one and a half kg."

"Okay, sir, wait here and I will come back quickly," he said as he went back to get the meat.

While Evan took the opportunity to come closer to stag and used his talent. "Plunder," he said as the talent energy covered the whole stag and notification appeared.

"Oh, new skill, huh? Well, let me see..." Before Evan could check the status, the worker returned with a large chunk of meat.

"Yes, sir, here it is. It's 4,000. Would you like to pay now or deduct it from the total?"

"I would like to deduct it from the total, so please proceed and let me go as it's already getting late," Evan told him. The worker nodded, handed over meat, which Evan put into his inventory, and then put away the corpses. They started heading toward the exit as electronic items do not work correctly in the dungeon.

After exiting the dungeon, they a little away from the gate. The worker took out his phone and, after getting Evan's account details, sent him total money after deducting the cost of the meat.

"Sir, total for your corpses is 283,000 CP after the deduction, so please check and confirm if the money has been sent," he said. Evan took out his phone, checked his account, and found the money had been deposited.

"Yes, it's here," Evan told them as the worker nodded walked away.

'It's already overtime now,' Evan thought as he looked at the sky.

"Let's go home," Evan said to himself as he walked toward the exit. He walked out of the association, took a taxi, and told the driver his address.

"Sir, can you take me to this place?" he said, giving the driver the address. The driver nodded and started driving.

After about half an hour was in front of his apartment, he paid the amount of charge. He walked inside the building, climbed the stairs, reached his floor, and entered his room.

"Hah~~! Finally, back from the long day," Evan said as he fell onto the bed just after entering the apartment and didn't even change his clothes. Silence fell upon everything as the night reached its peak, but the city was still full of activity. Hunters were hunting in dungeons, guilds were working and, and the association was still busy.
