The boss's voice cut through the murmurs of the crowd once more. "The dungeon is three days away. You have an hour to pack whatever you need. This isn't just another hunt, so don't waste time. Gather your belongings and meet back here. Those who aren't ready will be left behind."
Kaden turned on his heel and headed back toward the inn. Packing wasn't really necessary for him since most of his belongings were safely stored in his system inventory, but he didn't want to draw unnecessary attention by showing up empty-handed. He grabbed a small bag and threw in a couple of changes of clothes, just for appearances.
As he made his way downstairs, Mia's mother stood by the inn's entrance, a small basket in her hands. She glanced up and smiled softly when she saw him.
"Heading out with the hunters, are you?" she asked, her tone laced with concern.
Kaden nodded. "Yeah, just another job," he said casually, though the thought of a dungeon still churned in his mind.
