Kaden was contemplating the stars above, it was definitely different from the stars on Earth, he was trying to find patterns in their unfamiliar arrangement, when the ground beneath him trembled. Heavy footsteps approached, each one sending small vibrations through the stone. Eddie the Beast, aptly named for his massive frame, was making his way over, a tankard of something potent-smelling clutched in one enormous hand.

Kaden's eyes widened in alarm. "Uh, Eddie— I think.."

The warning came too late. With a sound like the world's largest biscuit snapping in half, the platform gave up its centuries-long battle against gravity. Stone crumbled beneath them, sending both Kaden and Eddie tumbling in a cloud of dust and dignity.
