One Hundred Million?
This man's true strength had reached the so-called "one Hundred" level?
Duan and Jiam were stunned. According to the Grand Kai's explanation, they were both warriors with a battle power in the tens of millions. The gap between their level and the Hundred level was utterly staggering. However, as they calmed down and recalled the events in the tournament arena, they exchanged a glance — it suddenly made sense why they were defeated by him in a single move.
Taro, on the other hand, remained indifferent. Whether others were shocked, envious, jealous, or dismissive, none of it mattered to him.
He simply stood quietly, watching the white-bearded Grand Kai.
The Grand Kai chuckled, popped the last Senzu bean into his mouth with a crunch, and said while chewing, "Come now, words can only do so much. For martial artists like us, nothing speaks louder than a good bout."
"Exactly. That's what I had in mind." Taro smiled as well. Though he remained standing as still as before, a sudden shift in his presence was palpable, as if storm clouds were gathering, as if seas were tilting — yet his aura remained as immovable as a mountain.
The Grand Kai waved at Duan and Jiam. "You two stay here." He tilted his head toward Taro. "Follow me."
With that, a surge of faint golden energy erupted from the Grand Kai's body, and with a loud boom, he transformed into a beam of golden light, shooting off into the distance across the vast, snowy terrain. The force of his departure stirred the air, creating a gale that blew Duan's messy white hair into a thick, straight line. Jiam, unable to maintain his footing, staggered backward slightly.
This was the power of a Hundred-level, or galactic-level, warrior — every movement carried the force of a storm and thunder.
Duan and Jiam were dumbfounded.
A moment later, another boom erupted behind them as another fierce shockwave blasted past their heads. A powerful wind roared as Taro followed in pursuit, leaving a tearing sound in the sky above them. The gusts once again yanked Duan's long white hair forward into a straight line, obscuring his face, while Jiam stumbled forward several steps.
The two exchanged serious glances and focused their eyes on the distant point where the two radiant energy trails had landed.
This level of combat… was bound to be a rare spectacle.
Even observing it might be as enlightening as direct guidance from the Grand Kai.
---
In the distance, the Grand Kai and Taro landed, facing each other with energy flames surrounding their bodies — a clear sign that both were bringing their full power to bear.
The Grand Kai, however, had explained earlier that the cosmic changes had severely limited his demi-god strength. As for Taro… due to the peculiar nature of his Muken technique, a casual scan of his energy might only suggest a battle power of "around four million."
But the Grand Kai was no ordinary observer. As he studied Taro up close, he discerned the truth.
With a faint smile, he remarked, "Fascinating… Your power seems to exist in a layered state, capable of magnifying your base strength dozens of times over. Truly remarkable!" He let out a series of approving nods.
Taro replied coolly, "You flatter me."
His expression grew slightly colder, a sign that he had devoted his full attention, focus, and mental energy to the upcoming clash. Adjusting his posture, he shifted his feet into the most comfortable and natural stance for himself.
The Grand Kai let out a short laugh before his expression turned serious as well. His long, thick white beard began to sway gently, even though there was no wind.
The two stood about ten meters apart, their gazes locked on each other, neither moving an inch.
An immense, overwhelming aura clashed with another that appeared much weaker. Yet, strangely, the weaker aura held its ground, refusing to yield, standing firm against the overwhelming force. Crackle… crackle… Electrical currents began to flicker through the air between the two, their energy causing the surrounding temperature to rise. To the naked eye, the space around them warped, distorting as if reality itself was bending under the strain of their battle.
"I still don't get it…" Jiam murmured, a trace of doubt in his voice. "Is he really not using his full power against someone like the Grand Kai?" He paused, reconsidering. "Or… is he the type to release everything in a single explosive moment?"
"No…" Duan's eyes were locked onto the distorted air, where the figures of the two combatants were beginning to blur. "That man's aura hasn't been crushed by the Grand Kai's… What technique is he using?"
At that moment, the two warriors generating these fearsome auras began to move!
BOOM!
Both figures vanished in an instant.
"They've started!" Jiam and Duan tensed simultaneously, their fists clenching involuntarily.
BANG!
The sound of fists colliding!
"Where are they?!" Jiam's eyes widened as he strained to sense the energy signatures of Taro and the Grand Kai. But he couldn't find them.
They were too fast.
Their movements and exchanges surpassed Jiam's ability to sense or track them. His thoughts simply couldn't keep up with their battle.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Sweat trickled down Duan's forehead as his eyes darted frantically, trying to follow the action. All he could perceive were the muffled, thunderous sounds of their blows, resonating like distant rolling thunder. The only visual indication of the battle was the occasional burst of air rippling in the distorted space, like waves erupting on an invisible, colorless lake.
It was as if a torrential downpour of raindrops — large and small — was falling onto a crystalline surface, shattering the delicate mirror of the atmosphere.
The immense, intangible pressure emanating from the clash reached across hundreds of meters, pressing down on the two onlookers, making it hard to breathe. Whether it was real or their imagination, they couldn't tell.
BANG!
Taro and the Grand Kai collided midair, finally revealing themselves. Taro's gaze was razor-sharp, his eyes gleaming like drawn blades, while the Grand Kai, though hidden behind his sunglasses, emanated an unmistakable aura of authority and dominance.
Steam rose from both of them, curling around their bodies like ethereal white tendrils.
"You're quite impressive, and so is your technique," the Grand Kai said with a smile.
The two remained locked in midair, knee against knee, elbow against elbow. Taro's exposed arms bulged with explosive muscle, as if sculpted from steel, his body enveloped in a dense white aura of ki. Tendrils of steam drifted from his frame, testifying to the intense energy at play. The Grand Kai, though dressed in loose, divine attire, showed no less resolve or power, his figure exuding a similar steam-laden intensity.
At the Grand Kai's remark, Taro replied calmly, "The technique may be decent, but I have yet to find a way to make it better. I would appreciate your guidance, Grand Kai."
BOOM!
The two struck each other simultaneously, a thunderous clash of palms sending both flying backward.
Whoosh! They vanished once again!
Zing! Zing! Zing!
Countless energy waves and ki blasts erupted in midair, scattering like fireworks in the empty space. From a distance, it looked like two massive armies colliding — a cacophony of roars, clashes, and explosions. The attacks cancelled each other out, detonating and disintegrating in dazzling bursts of light and power.
