chapter 7

Teshmian felt defeated and despite seeing everything for herself her heart wasn't ready to believe it. She had to get to the bottom of everything. And now she was sure that it was Ilshay who had used the stairs. Something was surely fishy

Having nowhere to go, Teshmian went to the orphanage where she grew up. Her and Ilshay's caretaker whom they used to call mom was happy to see her and welcomed her . She took her luggage to their room . At first she was puzzled because Ilshay wasn't with her but then Teshmian lied that she was stuck with work. Teshmian just sat in the room having lunch and going through their childhood stuff. She even found photos of her and Ilshay and their orphanage mom. Something caught Teshmian's eyes ,but before she could have a closer look she was visited by an unexpected visitor;Ilshay. She had to pretend that everything was normal between them and hid the photo in her hand.

"So this is where you have come to hide?" Ilshay whispered as she hugged her ,"you want to risk this woman's life ?"

And who could have guessed that Lucian would tag along. Teshmian she covered her sorrow very well but still it stung alot deep in her heart. Ilshay added salt to the injury by introducing Lucian as her lover to the orphanage mom. Teshmian noticed something strange as Lucian took out his hand to greet her ,she felt very uncomfortable around Lucian. Meanwhile Lucian hugged Teshmian as he passed a note to her . She felt all those feelings for Lucian flashing back to her , she could feel the same tingling sensation she felt when Lucian touched her . It wasn't easy getting rid of those feelings even after everything she had witnessed. Lucian muttered a sorry to Teshmian which she could only hear due to her ability to read someone's thoughts. This left her thinking a lot . Why would Lucian apologize when he was the same one who has brought her world crumbling down into pieces.

Later that night when she was alone she examined that photo and read the note Lucian had left her. Lucian was telling her to dig deeper to find the truth ,in that note. But why would Lucian help her when he had lied to her and left her . Something was surely fishy,but she pushed all that to the back of her mind and looked at the photo. Those eyes were very familiar to Ilshay's. She was in deep thinking when she heard footsteps on the corridor and went check out what the matter was. She was surprised to see the orphanage mother sneaking out. Teshmian followed her to a secret passage which she managed to sneak into without being noticed.

"What the fuuuuck!" Teshmian exclaimed.

The superior mother who owned the orphanage was there and there was another person with her and he seemed bed-ridden . Teshmian wanted to have a close look but she couldn't go any further less she wanted to be fished out. She watched them from afar as the superior mother and her orphanage mother exchanged words which she couldn't hear because she was far but it seemed that like superior mother was reprimanding the orphanage mom. Before Teshmian could figure out what was going on , she felt someone pull her from where she was hiding .

"Teshmian! What are you doing here ?" Asked the orphanage mom,"you know the rules of the orphanage quite well, don't you?"

Teshmian wasn't actually listening to her, she was moving closer to the bed ridden person . The superior mother tried to stop her but she was determined to see that person,it was a man. His hand,the ring; Teshmian thought she had seen that ring somewhere and Ilshay's scent . She uncovered his face but still she couldn't recognize him from anywhere but he felt very familiar to her. As Teshmian touched his body it brought flashy images in her head . She didn't understand what was going on and those images were messing up her head and they were blur , nothing was clear.

Who that man was ,he had something to do with Teshmian.

"Why does this man have Ilshay's scent?" She blurted out before she could come back to her senses. She felt anger build inside her ,anger at this people and what they were hiding. But they were just mere mortals . What was going on , Teshmian had to reach to the bottom of it .

"Teshmian dear listen....." Superior mother tried to calm her down but Teshmian just stormed out of the room .

She went to Slovaki to calm down. As she moved on near the lake she thought of those flashy images . What were they? And why did they only come when she touched that man . She was thinking of all this questions when she stumbled on something. She checked to find a body. A closer look at it and she saw it was Hamnish ,at first she thought he was dead but then she heard his distance heartbeat which had slowed down.

"Luci.. Lucia.... Luci..." He was trying to say something but couldn't.

Teshmian wasn't thinking straight and also had nowhere to take him apart from the orphanage . She quickly took him to the orphanage. The orphanage mom took him to the bay and asked Teshmian what was wrong with him. Teshmian just asked her to phone the hospital right away. As the orphanage mom was phoning the hospital, the superior mother came in and cut the call.

"What are you doing? How can you be so careless? Don't you know his secret could be exposed or even worse the human treatment could alter his powers?"

"What did you just say? So I was right,you do know something about all this mess and even about Ilshay."

Teshmian asked about the man in hiding but the superior mother cut her and said it wasn't the right time to discuss all that. Teshmian was just surprised by everything and that despite knowing the truth they never even tried to warn her if the danger instead let her get close to the danger. Who were these people really and who could be trusted at this point in time?

"We are your people Teshmian,"

"Really , are you?"

After the superior mother had acupuntured Hamnish and left him to rest , Teshmian pulled her aside and asked her to talk . She couldn't believe that all those years she had been living under a roof of lies . How could they not tell her anything even after everything that had happened .

"Can't you just shut up for a moment and li...."

"No! So that you can feed me more lies and please don't shush me superior mother or whoever you are when I want answers to my questions. Today I'll be the one to ask and you'll answer superior mother and please no more lies please," Teshmian was almost breaking down.

It was a heated argument between superior mother and Teshmian. Teshmian wasn't ready to step down without the answers she needed. She was tired of living in lies , her whole life was a very sweet lie that she wished she never knew the truth but it was too late now . Superior mother took her to the secret room and the same man was still there only this time he was up. When they were there superior mother started to shed tears and caressed her cheeks , she hugged her and showered kisses on her hands. Teshmian who was confused with this just withdrew her hands and pushed superior mother away.

"Please stop all this stupidity and just answer me. Do you even know that Ilshay almost killed me and you still knew everything but chose to watch me die. Then why did you bring me to this orphanage and raise me?"

"You know how to raise questions when you don't know anything,right? Then let's see how well you are able to handle the truth," superior mother was equally angry now

Teshmian already knew that superior mother was her maternal mother,Stacie but she didn't know what happened at all . Stacie loved her daughters equally that's why she kept both of them under her watch but she was never able to be in control of Ilshay otherwise the vamp clan would realize her . Teshmian was not wrong to be pissed,her mother was always right Infront of her but she had to live the life of an orphan and what a disguise! Stacie tried to explain to her that it was the only way to protect both her and Ilshay. Stacie looked at Teshmian lovingly as she stood there feeling that all her life was falsity.

"Please dear at least give me a chance to make everything right after all we are all falliable,"

Teshmian was stranded ,it was just too much to take in at once. If only Lucian was by his side at that moment.

"Child, your mother isn't wrong what she did was for the safety of both of you," it was the man .

It was Naffy ,he was the man. She thought she was dreaming but it was reality hitting her in the face like a wave. She shoved his hand from her shoulders and moved away shaking her head. Naffy intervened and tried to make sense to Teshmian. Teshmian fell on her knees very shattered. Stacie moved close to console her and Teshmian obliged and let her head fall on her mother's shoulders. Stacie felt good holding her daughter after a very long time .

"Don't worry my daughter , I'm gonna make everything right and Naffy please protect my child. I'll be back ance she knows the truth,"

Stacie muttered some words in a strange language and the next minute both mother and daughter were lying unconscious on the floor. Stacie's soul had entered Teshmian's body that way she could experience Stacie's past life and maybe she could also get answers to her questions.
