Chapter 302: How Will People Survive in the Infinite Tsukuyomi?

"On the battlefield between Iwagakure and Kirigakure, Jigen was killed by Hyuga Fuji."

Zetsu looked at the grim expressions of the Akatsuki members in front of him and continued sharing the information he had gathered. "During the battle, Hyuga Fuji used two terrifying ocular techniques: one summoned a silver storm, while the other unleashed a golden sword that split the skies. Lord Shinichi, you should know what those are, right?"

"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion and Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion."

The recently recovered Ōtsutsuki Shinichi muttered under his breath, "Hyuga Fuji… he's fully awakened the Tenseigan."

Hearing this, no one's expression changed.

Obviously. Jigen, who had once overpowered both Madara and Obito, was killed by Hyuga Fuji. If Hyuga Fuji hadn't awakened the Tenseigan, they might as well pack up and quit.

If he could defeat Jishen without the Tenseigan, wouldn't he essentially become an omnipotent god once it was awakened?

That was impossible, of course.

Even so, the fact that Hyuga Fuji now seemed to have reached his limits—similar to how Madara had after awakening the Rinnegan—did not make him any less terrifying. Among the Akatsuki, no one was bold enough to compare themselves to him.

Even the strongest among them couldn't match Hyuga Fuji.

As these thoughts churned in their minds, several Akatsuki members shifted their gaze to Uchiha Madara, their expressions growing increasingly strange.

It was as if they were silently asking:

"Didn't Shinichi just say the Tenseigan and Rinnegan are on the same level? Then why is there such a big gap between you and Hyuga Fuji?"

One Rinnegan plus a top-tier Mangekyō Sharingan couldn't compare to Hyuga Fuji's accomplishments. The question was inevitable.

Feeling stung by their gazes, Madara growled in a low voice, "I'm in an Edo Tensei state. This is not my peak form!"

With his sharp, oppressive glare, Madara forced the group to look away. Snorting coldly, he glanced at Nagato's Rinnegan before closing his eyes, ending the discussion before it could escalate.

But deep down, Madara knew the truth. Even in his prime, with both Rinnegan restored, he would still likely fall short of Hyuga Fuji.

If fully revived and wielding both eyes, he could dominate Hashirama with Limbo. But against someone like Jigen, he wasn't confident.

Jigen's eyes, equal in power to the Rinnegan, could likely see through Limbo. And in terms of raw strength, Madara admitted he was no match for him.

So how had Hyuga Fuji managed to defeat Jigen? Was there truly such a disparity between the Rinnegan and Tenseigan?

Yet, Shinichi, a pure-blooded Ōtsutsuki, had said the two were on par. It didn't make sense.

Madara couldn't figure it out.

As the group remained fixated on Hyuga Fuji's overwhelming power, Shinichi's eyes flashed briefly before he retreated into silent contemplation.

Truthfully, Shinichi had been curious about Jigen, someone capable of overpowering Uchiha Madara. After all, the ninja world shouldn't have possessed a power on par with the Rinnegan or Tenseigan.

Moreover, Jigen had claimed to be a member of the main Ōtsutsuki family. As the sole survivor of a branch family, Shinichi couldn't help but feel concerned. He had even considered approaching Jigen to investigate further.

But now that Jigen had been killed by Hyuga Fuji, there was no need.

As for why Madara couldn't defeat Jigen, but Hyuga Fuji, with the Tenseigan, could—it didn't surprise Shinichi.

Taking into account Fuji's gains on the moon, he likely now possessed two massive Tenseigan. Considering the Tenseigan's inherently greater offensive capabilities compared to the Rinnegan, it wasn't shocking that Fuji surpassed Madara.

While many in the room were shaken by this news, Orochimaru remained calm.

His student had grown stronger? What did that have to do with him?

The ninja world could now be roughly divided into three factions: the Akatsuki, the United Nations, and the group led by Hyuga Fuji.

And Orochimaru? No matter where he went, someone would accept him. He could thrive anywhere. What did he have to fear?

…Fine, he admitted it. He actually wanted to go to Hyuga Fuji's side.

That group now had many experts in fields he wanted to explore. But since Fuji was his student, Orochimaru felt it wouldn't be appropriate to rush over just yet.

It was one thing for a student to surpass their teacher, but if the gap grew too large too quickly, it would only embarrass the teacher.

So, he decided to wait—until he had achieved some notable results of his own. For now, he would focus on his personal pursuits and quietly observe the chaos of the ninja world.

Amid the heavy silence, Orochimaru spoke up, breaking the stillness with a comment.

"It truly is a fascinating era. The powers of the Sage of Six Paths and his brother from a thousand years ago have re-emerged in this age. Could it signify something?"

"In the past, the Sage of Six Paths and his brother ushered in a new era. Perhaps another era is about to begin now."

"That's the reason we've gathered here, isn't it?"

Nagato snapped out of his thoughts, touching his right eye socket and taking a deep breath. "It's good news. Jigen was a dangerous enemy, and Hyuga Fuji has removed that threat for us. Is there any other news?"

"The United Nations has proposed peace talks, but the Land of Water has rejected them. Tensions between the Land of Snow, the Land of Water, and other nations are escalating," Zetsu reported before glancing toward Uchiha Munamei. "Perhaps after deploying the Yachihoko, we could first absorb the chakra of the Land of Water and the Land of Snow's forces to weaken them."

Hikari's eyes flickered briefly before she nodded lightly. "Understood."

Absorb chakra?

The power of the Yachihoko was far greater than that. She wouldn't stop there.

Her revenge was about to begin.

The Uchiha clan would feel her wrath.

After the meeting, Obito approached Madara.

"With the plan underway, the countdown to the Ten-Tails' return has begun. Are you not planning to revive yourself and take control, or are you leaving it to Nagato to become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki?"

"When did I say that?" Madara frowned slightly and sneered. "Obito, stop scheming. Nagato is far more obedient than you. He knows his limits and has remained compliant. It's not yet time for him to sacrifice himself for me."

Obito's dark eyes fixed on Madara, unable to discern his true thoughts. He narrowed his gaze.

Without the Rinnegan, he lacked the initiative and couldn't become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki or cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. He hated this sense of helplessness.

But he had anticipated this scenario when he allowed Zetsu to revive Madara.

"I have a question. Under the Infinite Tsukuyomi, how can we ensure that those caught in the genjutsu don't die? Currently, the ninjas in Ideal City rely on Orochimaru's nutrient fluids to survive in the Tsukuyomi Space."

This question had lingered in Obito's mind for a long time.

According to information from Tamako's side, when the body dies, the soul returns to the Pure Land as a rule. A mere illusionary space couldn't prevent this, meaning that to keep extracting someone's chakra indefinitely, their body had to remain alive, given time to recover.

So how did the Infinite Tsukuyomi ensure the survival of its victims?

"Are you questioning the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan?" Madara sneered. "The Infinite Tsukuyomi is the Sage of Six Paths' ultimate solution. Of course, he accounted for such details."

"The Divine Tree will root itself in the earth, providing nourishment to all. Isn't that sufficient?"
