When Selena opened her eyes, the soft glow of sunlight streamed through the thin curtains, filling the room with warmth. She stretched lazily, but as her arms moved, she felt something heavy and soft draped over her. A blanket.

Wait, the blanket she had given to Alex the night before.

Her eyes snapped open fully, and she sat up abruptly, clutching the fabric. She frowned in confusion. Had he given it back to her during the night?

"Calm down, Selena," she murmured to herself, taking a deep breath.

She glanced around the room, expecting to see Alex sprawled on the floor or sitting by the window. But the space was empty. Her heart skipped a beat. Where had he gone?
